Chapter 18: Garroth

Garroth's POV (le wut?)

"He was spotted here before, search the area!" I heard a cop call.

I've been on the run for weeks now, ever since Michael kicked me out. I never wanted to do anything I did. He made me do all of it. I don't even know how, he just did. Like I was bound to him or something.

He said my friends and family hate me, and I know he's right. Especially after what I did to Vylad. That still haunts me.

I heard he gets out of the hospital today though, thank Irene.

Although, those two girls, the werewolves. I can't believe what I did to them either. I saw the pink one with a large scar going across her cheek, and the purple one with hair over the eye that I had cut. I guess it's blind now, and the hair hides the scar. It hurts, knowing nobody will forgive me.

I started running again, away from the police. One of them must have saw me, because they started shooting. A bullet grazed my arm, and I yelped in pain, putting my hand over the wound. I chanced a glance back, and saw them running after me. I started running again. I don't know why. I probably deserve to be in jail, but for some reason I have the urge to stay away.

Maybe it's what he said.

"I'm kicking you out. You have nowhere to go. Your friends and family hate you, your wanted by the government, and if anyone even sees you, you'll be thrown in jail for life."

I think he wants me to be arrested. Maybe that's why I'm not turning myself in. I'm not doing anything he wants me to do, not again.

I heard Aphmau and Aaron are dating, and he "marked" her. I think that's a werewolf term.

As I was running, I found myself in an alleyway between two houses that I never thought I would see again.

Aphmau and Aaron's house, and the house where Aaron's pack lives.

It gave me an idea.

Zack once told me Ein used to work for them. He quit, after realizing hurting people wasn't the way to go.

Maybe he can explain something.

I remember looking at a map of the house, where his room was. There was a tall tree in front of it, so I started climbing.

Once I reached the tree, I saw he was inside it. Sleeping.

Well, it was early in the day, so I guess it makes sense.

The door started opening, and I quickly jumped down a branch, looking up so I was still able to see inside.

Aaron's sister, Melissa I think, was yelling something at Ein. He sat up, grumbling something, and yelled back. Melissa laughed and left the room. He got up, and I took a deep breath.

Then I knocked on the window.

He was obviously startled, jumping and whirling around. He started towards the door, and I quickly shook my head, making an X symbol with my hands.

I guess he saw my expression, and took the chance.

"Garroth?!" He exclaimed, opening the window.

"Uh... hi." I said.

"Explain." He demanded.

"Michael kicked me out." I said.

"He WHAT?!"

"Shh! Please, I would rather not be torn into a million pieces!"

"Sorry, but seriously?! Michael doesn't kick people out! Not unless he knows they have nowhere to go, and will suffer endlessly- oh, wait. You don't have anywhere to go and would suffer endlessly if he kicked you out."

"Uh... yeah... I noticed."

"So, what's stopping me from calling Alpha?"

"Uh... nothing I guess. I'm... really, really, really, sorry. I cannot express how sorry I am, in any way."

"Did you do anything by will?"

"Uh... I had absolutely no control over what I was doing and saying, but I was aware of everything I was doing. I wouldn't have done any of it if I had, had any control over myself at the time, I swear."

"Hmm... regrets?"

"Huh?"

"Do you regret doing all of it?"

"Yes. Definitely. I regret doing it all, and it hurts."

"When did it start?"

"What do you mean?"

"When did you stop having control over your actions?"

I thought about it. Cheating on Aphmau was... I think that was of my own will? There was this voice, urging me to just be a bad boyfriend. Cheat, not let her show her werewolf side, around the time... uh... I think that one night, when I attacked her with a knife. That's when I lost control over my actions.

"That makes sense." Ein said.

"Oh... did I say my thoughts aloud?" I asked.

"Yep. Anyway-"

"EIN! HURRY UP, YOUR TAKING THE TWINS TO SCHOOL TODAY!" I heard someone yell.

"Shoot..." Ein muttered, "I'LL BE RIGHT THERE MELISSA!" He yelled back.

"Wait, what am I supposed to do?!" I asked, panicked suddenly.

"Don't panic!" He told me, "Just... find somewhere to hide, nearby. Like, the alleyway or something. I'll come by after I drop Kaiya and Taiya off." He promised.

"Uh, okay, but-"

"No time for questions, just do it. See ya!" He closed the window before I could ask who Kaiya and Taiya were. I climbed down the tree, and hid behind some trash bins in the alleyway.

That plan backfired, horribly.

Aphmau's POV
"Aaron! I'm taking the trash out!" I called, as I finished tying the bag closed.

"What?!" Aaron appeared in the entrance to the kitchen. "Babe, your pregnant!"

"Hon, I'm only 15 weeks. I can still take the trash out." I sighed. He's been like this all week, since we found out.

"But still! You shouldn't be doing labour!" He argued.

"Aaron, I love you, but taking the trash out is not labour. Your being overprotective." I swung the bag over my shoulder and started towards the door.

"When your pregnant it does!" He exclaimed.

"Aaron. Stop. I'm 15 weeks. You can barely even tell I'm pregnant yet." I told him. That was true. I had just the tiniest baby bump, you could barely see it.

"But-"

"Stop." I bonked him on the head lightly, and he sighed.

"Fine..." he muttered, backing off.

"Thank you." I smiled, and dragged the trash outside, going into the alleyway while humming a sweet toon.

I had just thrown the bag in, when something caught my eye.

Sorry, someone.

Garroth Ro'Meave. Hiding behind the trash bin.

You can probably imagine, I did the most logical thing possible.

I screamed as loud as I possible could.

Aaron's POV
I heard Aphmau scream from the alleyway. I did the most logical thing.

I jumped out the window.

Duh.

"AH!" The scream was quickly followed by a familiar voice yelping, and frantic footsteps. I rushed over, grabbed her arm and pulling her behind me.

Garroth was staring wide-eyed at us, with his back to the wall at the back of the alleyway.

The window next to us shattered, and Blaze jumped out. Dottie poked out of the window.

"What happened?!" Blaze exclaimed, panicked.

"Is that Garroth?!" Dottie exclaimed.

"I can explain!" Garroth yelped.

"Did someone say Garroth?" Ein looked out with Dottie, then sighed.

"You better explain." I growled.

"Michael kicked me out!" Garroth exclaimed.

"He does that?" Blaze asked.

"Only if he knows the person has nowhere to go and will suffer endlessly." Ein said, jumping out the window and landing next to Blaze.

"And he knows that will happen to Garroth because?..." Dottie asked.

"His friends and family hate him and he's wanted by the government." Ein said.

"That makes sense." Aphmau commented, coming out from behind me.

"Wait, are you engaged?!" Garroth asked, staring at me and Aphmau.

"Yes." I replied.

"Mhm!" Aphmau replied.

"Congratulations. Please don't kill me." Garroth begged.

"Hey, I'm the one who took my chances at trying to make them forgive me, and look at me now! Best member of the pack!" Ein boasted.

"Your the Omega!" Melissa called from inside.

"Exactly." Ein said. Dottie snorted.

"So... your not going to kill me?" Garroth asked hopefully.

"I won't, and neither will the pack. Uh, no promises for the twins." I said.

"The twins?" Garroth asked.

"Aaron, they won't kill him." Aphmau told me.

"Taiya might." I replied.

"Kaiya will keep her from doing anything stupid." Aphmau said.

"Killing him is far from stupid." I argued.

"Aaron!" She lightly slapped my arm.

"We could turn him in." Dottie suggested.

"I... think we should give him a chance..." Aphmau mumbled.

"What?!" I turned to her shocked, "After what he did?! Aph-"

"Aaron, you know as well as I do he had no control over himself!" Aphmau argued, crossing her arms. I groaned. I knew that tone all too well.

That way the tone of an argument I was not going to win.

"He's not staying in our house." I said. She smiled.

"He doesn't have too." She replied.

"Who are Kaiya and Taiya?" Garroth asked.

"The twins you hurt." Blaze replied.

"Oh... guess you adopted them?" He asked.

"Yeah." Aphmau sighed. "They're a handful."

"Figures... you would do that. Heh..." Garroth sighed.

"Then where will he stay?" Ein asked.

"Good question." I sighed.

"I would say we could keep him in our house, but there isn't enough room." Blaze sighed.

"What about Laurence?" Aphmau suggested.

"It might work, except for the fact that Zane and Laurence live together." I said.

"Zane can either move in with Kawaii~chan or suck it up." Aphmau sassed.

"What about Jennifer? I doubt she would argue." Dottie said.

"Jennifer wouldn't, but I'm pretty sure Cathy and Betty would." I sighed.

"Did someone say my name?" We turned, and saw Jennifer at the entrance of the alleyway, with Cathy and Betty.

"Yo!" Blaze waved.

"Is that Garroth?" Cathy asked.

Betty was munching on a sandwich.

"Garroth?!" Jennifer rushed over, then practically jumped on him. Cathy groaned, following, with Betty trailing behind. They stood beside Aphmau, as Jennifer fawned over Garroth and... said some not very clean things, and called some people (Me and our friends) some not very nice names.

"Hey!" Aphmau pouted. I snorted.

"You are a potato though." I said.

"Not for long I won't be." She crossed her arms.

"That's true." I smirked, as she blushed faintly.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Cathy asked.

"You haven't heard? Doesn't Diana visit you every week?" Blaze asked.

"She didn't mention anything about Aphmau and Aaron." Betty explained.

"Aphmau is pregnant!" Dottie exclaimed, "With Alpha's child!"

I think Kawaii~chan heard, because faint squealing could be heard from her place.

"Aphmau!" Zane ran over. We turned to him.

"Zane? What-"

"Vylad gets out of the hospital today, remember?! Come on, we gotta go get him!" Zane grabbed her arm and stares pulling her away. Kawaii~chan could be heard laughing.

"Kawaii~chan told you Zane! You don't have the mental stability to pick him up on your own~!" Kawaii~chan exclaimed.

"Whatever, let's go!" Zane replied. I glanced back.

"You go Alpha! We can take care of this!" Blaze cheered.

"Thanks." I nodded, and followed Aphmau, Zane, and Kawaii~chan.

I could've sworn I heard a growl from one of the girls.
