I looked at Cane as he was staring down ole boy

"Grown folks is talking move along boy." He said to Cane and I shook my head this was about to go left

"You know nigga you talk a lot of shit for a nigga with a broken jaw." Cane said and the guy looked confused then Cane punched him dead in the mouth and he fell to the ground as Cane kept hitting him. The guys with him went to make a move then I saw Tank and a few other back him up,

"Cane stop!" I grabbed his arm pulling him back Cane let him go then looked up at the guys friends and looked nervous then picked their homeboy up and walked away

"Everything ok Lauren?" Crystal asked looking at Cane, it was no secret Mr. St. Patrick didn't like hood shit in his club. No rags, no fighting, no drugs.

"Yeah we good." I said looking at Cane, she looked in between us

"Are you sure?" She asked putting the drinks on the bar

"You need to mind your own fuckin business." Cane said to her

"Will you stop!" I snapped at him

"I'm sorry girl." I told her and she looked at Cane then went back to work, then I turned to Cane

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked folding my arms as I looked at him

"It's Roc's b-day I'm just treating my boy. Then I see you here with my business out in the streets." He said motioning to my outfit

I looked at him like he lost his mind

"Your business?"

"You heard what I said, just because you mad at don't mean nothing. I know I still got your heart."

"Oh my God." I shook my head then I turned and grabbed our drinks

"You have a nice night, happy birthday Roc." I said

"Thanks Boogie." I heard as I went back to our booth

"Damn Lauren what took you so long?" Jaz said and I rolled my eyes

"Bitch just drink and be happy."

"Look who's talking old lady, you need to get your back cracked."

"Well we all can't have a Mr. T alright." I said as she sat up straight up

"Well nothing is exclusive,"

"What?" Myia said looking at her but she was looking past us

"Mmm look at this table right here!" I looked up to see Cane, Tank and them I sighed

"Hi." Sasha and Jaz said all of a sudden all flirty and Myia looked at me I just shook my head

"Is it cool if we join you?"

"Yes." Jaz said flipping her hair, patting the seat next to her but Cane came over and squeezed in between me and Myia. I rolled my eyes and scooted away from him  not having much room I looked at Cane who was smirking at me I just rolled my eyes and turned away from him 

"Why you so mean?" He asked and I ignored him

"What are ya'll drinking on?" Tank asked

"Just some rose, no bottle though." Jaz said with a pout I rolled my eyes at her and Cane waved over the bottle girl

"Can we get a bottle of Dom rose, and V.S.O.P?" Cane order and she nodded

"Oh ok we got a baller on our hands." Jaz said with a smirk

"Showing some love it's my boy's born day." He said nodding at Roc who was sitting next to Jaz but she was blatantly ignoring him for Cane

"So why don't you get your own booth?" I asked looking at him

"What's your name, attitude?" He asked me and I turned my head so he couldn't see me smile, he was so damn petty

"You get on my nerves you know that right?" I said 

"I can still make you smile though."

"I got to go to the bathroom." I said getting up

"I'm coming with you." Myia said

"Me too." Sasha said then we looked at Jaz

"I'm good," She said taking Myia's seat next to Cane I rolled my eyes

"What's up you know them?" Sasha asked once we got to the bathroom Myia laughed

"Yeah she do."

"The guy I was talking to is my ex, Cane. He just got out."

"Ohh I didn't know you like hood niggas Ms. Lauren." She teased I laughed

"He looks good though you have to admit it."  Myia said to me

"I know Jaz is all in." I said as I felt a funny feeling in my stomach but I ignored it

"Well don't let him stop you from having fun. He don't seem to be on no bullshit." Sasha said

"Uh he already punch some dude in the mouth at the bar," i said and they laughed 

"Are you serious?" 

"Yes that's what took so long. so dude tried to holler and he wasn't taking no for an answer. Then Cane stepped in" I said shaking my head

"Well I mean you look good mama, he's just finally understanding what he's missing." Myia said wrapping her arm around me

"Like she just said you look good we're here to have fun, so let go back out and hit the dancefloor some more."

"You're right, I'm over it." I said but still couldn't help but feel a kind of way about Cane over back at the booth with Jaz.

"Why do always do that to her?" Tank laughed after Lauren left her girl got up and sat next to me

"It's fun."

"You know Lauren?" Her girl asked as she scooted closer to me. I ain't gone lie shorty was bad but I was here for my baby

"Oh yeah me and Boog go way back."

"Well I'm Jazmine, what's your name."

"Cane."

"That's cut you got a last name or is it just Cane?" She said and I stale faced her

"Cane." I said then she started talking again but I ignored her then I saw Lauren on her way to the dancefloor, damn she looked good in that bodysuit, that's ass was sitting right, and most importantly her smile was bright.

She wasn't smiling like that when I went inside, and I know I had a lot to do with it. I had to make this right. I got up

"Hold that thought." I said walking away from Jazmine I wasn't listening but I knew she was trying to fuck. I kept my eyes on Boogie as I made my way to her she was dancing with her girls. As the music changed to some slowly shit I pressed up against her, and she looked up at me with them pretty brown eyes.
