It took the rest of the night to clean up, we dropped his busted ass back in Manhattan not far from where we snatched him up. We cleaned the warehouse and the van then changed clothes, Roc was handling his car. I told him he and Tank could split the money from chopping it. Me and Dru made it back home around 9

"Everything good?" Ma asked as we walked into the kitchen

"Yep." Dru said walking over to the stove where Diana was cooking

"Get on, let me finish!" She said pushing him

"Boogie still sleeping?" I asked looking around she usually up early as shit

"She's real sick, so she's laying down." Ma told me

"Damn I'll be back." I said going upstairs when I reached the top of the stairs the bathroom door opened, Boogie walked out slowly

"Are you ok?" I took a step towards her but she held out her hand to stop me

"Are you wearing any cologne or anything scented?" She asked softly

"No..."

"Ok." She said and walked slowly to me I wrapped my arms around her and walked her back to my room, she sighed as laid back on the bed

"I was never this sick with Davis." She said rubbing her stomach

"Did you take your medicine?"

"I don't know if I can keep it down."

"I want you to try I'm go get you some water," I said then kissed her forehead

I walked back to the kitchen

"You not bothering her are you?" Dru said

"Man shut up, I got this."

"Ma I think you need to make sure he don't kill her." Dru said and Diana laughed

"What's that supposed to fucking mean?"

"You're not the most caring person Cane, no offence." Diana said

"Man fuck ya'll I can be... nice or whatever." I told them and they laughed even harder, I just grabbed two bottles of water and went back upstairs. I walked in my room and shut the door

"What's going on down there?" Boogie asked as I sat next to her on the bed

"Nothing just Dru and Diana being annoying. Come on and take this baby," I said opening the pill bottle handing her one then the water. She took the pill then laid back down.

"Lay with me." She said

"I thought us being in the same bed was moving too fast?" I asked with a smirk and she giggled

"Don't make me laugh please, it's hurts too bad."

"I'm sorry." I said then leaned down and kissed her head

"I want you to hold me, and rub my belly like you used to." She said I got up and took off my clothes until I was in my boxers, then I got under the covers with her wrapping my arms around her. My hand slipped under her shirt and I started softly rubbing on her stomach. I felt her grab my hand I looked down as she inspected my swollen knuckles

"You found him?" She asked already knowing the answer

"Yep, he won't ever bother you again."

"You killed him?" She asked as she turned over to face me

I didn't like talking about this shit with her. I knew she never judged me but I didn't want her caught up in my dark shit.

"No but I know he got the message." I said

"Thank you."

"Don't do that, you know I'll always protect you Boog even when you don't like me."

'Well that's most of the time." She said and I rolled my eyes

"When is your doctors appointment?" I asked her

"3'o clock today."

"Well let me get some sleep then,"

"You're coming?"

"I told you I got you Boog, I'm with you all the way." I told her and she smiled then kissed my cheek and rolled over

Lauren

My heart was racing as I sat on the table waiting on my doctor. The reality of everything was settling on me as I sat in the familiar room. I looked up at Cane who gave me a smile

"You good ma?" He asked and I just nodded but I wasn't I was terrified what if something was wrong? I still wonder sometimes if it was something I did that caused it last time. I don't think I would make it through losing another baby

There was a knock then the door opened and Dr. Miller walked in and she gave me a smile

"Hi Lauren......and Lorenzo this is a déjà vu. How are you feeling?" She asked me

"Anxious." I said

"Take some deep breaths, we're going to get you checked out. So it says you're 6 weeks along so we're going to do an ultrasound, check the heartbeat, and get some bloodwork ok?" She said and I nodded

"Ok." I said then I laid back on the table and let out the breath I was holding, I felt her lifting the gown then I felt a hand on my shoulder then I looked up at Cane then he took my hand

"Calm down I'm here." He said

"Alright there's your baby," She said and I looked at the screen as she pointed at the little blob on the screen

"Is everything is ok?" I asked

"Everything looks perfect." She said then pressed some buttons I heard the heartbeat it was like music to my ears I let go of the tears I was holding Cane wiped then away then leaned down and kissed my forehead

"See the baby is perfect Boog, we're going to make it."
