After we left the church we went to lunch

"How's your stomach feeling?" He asked as we looked over the menu

"It's ok today, the medicine they gave me at the hospital helps."

"That's good." He said and I looked at him

"You know this baby is yours right? I wouldn't lie to you about something like that."

"I know, I was just surprised I guess. Can I ask you something though? And don't get mad." He said and I looked at him and nodded

"With all this shit he just put you through, and I'm handle that trust me. are you sure it's not a chance it could be his?" He asked

And I thought most of the time we had sex was after a fight, and I would be a little out of it so I don't think I could say no

"I don't want to go into details but if would make you feel better we can do a DNA test when we get there."

"You want to do this?"

"I ain't gone lie I'm terrified right now, but I want this baby."

"Then I'm with you, no matter what this baby is a Tejada." He said taking my hand

"I'm scared too." He said and I looked at him surprised

"I tried to stay strong for you, but losing Davis fucked me up. It still does, and I don't deal with shit like that good. I don't know what to say."

"I know he was yours too, and I'm sorry because I was so wrapped up in what I was feeling at the time I didn't think about you."

"Don't ever apologize for that it was a fucked-up situation. I'm going to be better for you Boog, for us." He said and I looked at him

"What's up with your other baby mama though?" I asked and he looked confused then he glared at me

"I told you that baby wasn't mine."

"Did you confirm it? Because I'm not playing friendly with Teasha."

"Yes, we got it done when I wasn't talking to your ass." He said and I rolled my eyes

"I can show you the paper when we get home. That bitch still trippin though, she gave the baby my last name." He said and I laughed

"Damn, that's bold. That's what you get though." I said and he pinched my leg, and I kept laughing

"But for real let's call a truce, for our sake and everyone else, I know they are sick of our shit."

"Most def, we made ma call deacon." He laughed and I did too. As the waiter came and took our order

I was laying in bed later that night, Diana was gone to the gym with Zeke. He always invited her to his late night practices, she loved basketball probably more than Zeke. Cane walked in

"You so nasty." He said frowning at the bowl of olives sitting next to me

"And you a hater, what do you want?" I asked and he was dressed in all black, looking real good I might add. He came and sat on the end of the bed

"Me and Dru got some business to handle tonight, D is probably going to be out late so you can sleep in my room if you want."

"Uh no, we're taking this slow remember?"

"So, you can't sleep in my bed by yourself?"

"No, you're going to come back in the middle of the night then you're going to get in the bed in just your boxers and then start rubbing on my booty and kissing on me and one thing gone lead to another." I said and he laughed shaking his head at me

"I can't help it that booty is my kryptonite." He and moving closer to me I sat back

"Uh you too close move." I said pushing him back but he barely moved

"Come here for a minute." He put his hands on my waist and pulled me close

"I'm going to see him tonight." He said looking in my eyes, I was surprised he was actually telling me this.

"I know what I need to know on paper about the nigga, you got anything you want to tell me?" He asked I shook my head and hugged him, he wrapped his arms around my waist, I felt him lift my shirt

"Cane no." I said trying to stop him

"Let me see." He asked I sighed and lifted my shirt showing him the slowly fading bruises on my body. I felt his fingertips slowly moving up my side

"Do they still hurt?" He asked looking at me his eyes were dark and I couldn't tell what he was feeling

"The one on my back still does, but these not so much."

"I'm sorry Lauren, I'm sorry you went through this because of me, and I was.."

"It's not your fault he's crazy. If anything I should have been more careful about who I choose to be around me." I said as I sat on his lap and I hugged him, and he laid his head on my shoulder

"He liked to go for the ribs, I want you to make him hurt." I said

"It's done." He said when Dru walked in

"You ready?" He asked Cane who nodded I got off his lap he stood up and I kissed him, and he left with Dru. I grabbed my phone and my olives and went into his room.

"Damn this nigga been in there forever." Dru said as we sat outside the strip club in Manhattan, it was one of them rich nigga spots. Where they be in there getting high and shit. We watched dude go in and he ain't been out in damn near three hours

"Are we sure he's still in there?" Tank asked from the back seat, Dru sighed

"No he in there." I said never taking my eyes off the doors. I just kept seeing those bruises on Lauren, I'm going to make him feel everything she felt. Ma didn't want us to kill him, apparently his people was connected and she thought it would bring too much heat. She wanted him to suffer so that's what I'm going to do. Hurting people is what I do best, it's what I was raised to do protect my family.

"That's him." Dru said sitting up we watched as he made it to his car, Dru started the car up ad we followed him, he turned down a side street.

"Hit him." I told Dru and he drove into the back of his car. He stopped and we pulled on our ski masks. He got out the car and looked at his car. While he wasn't paying attention as we got out and rushed him. Dru knocked him out. Roc got in the driver seat of his car as we tossed him in the back of our van and sped off.

I smirked as the little bitch screamed, I stomped on his ribs again. he was struggling to breath both of his eyes was swollen closed and I made sure every finger was broken.

"Please let me go," He cried

I pulled out my gun and pressed it to his forehead, he started crying harder once he felt it

"Yo this bitch is pissing on himself!" Tank said and I looked down and sat his pants dripping wet, we laughed at his scary ass, Dru shook his head

"End this." He told me and I stared at him then I punched him and he fell and I hit him again, and again, and again....
