"Well, that was nice wasn't it?" Daehwi smiles expectantly at everyone, wanting for a flood of positive responses.
"Yes, it was Daehwi." Woojin pats him on the back and collects everyone's rubbish putting it in the bin "It was amazing, and thank you very much to our wonderful Jinyoung for buying it all for us." Hyungseob says, collapsing into Jinyoung's side and looking up his somewhat distressed friend
"Yeah, now lets just remember that I'm not paying next time. You guys all eat too much."
"Oh, you know what would be a good idea." Euiwoong says, every looks at him "What?" Euiwoong smiles at me widely
"What is it, Euiwoong? None of us are mind readers." I add
"Your phone number, we all need it." My jaw drops
"What?" I squeak
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, my dear," He grins, "Don't call her that." Jinyoung cuts him off, and Euiwoong frowns at him
"Fine, Mijoo, my friend. As I was saying, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We don't offer this to just anyone you know." I nod, that was quite obvious
"I figured, you wouldn't come across as great people if you offered your phone numbers to everyone." Euiwoong becomes a little flustered
"Well, yeah." He mumbles
"He's flustered because he does offer at least his phone number to just about everyone." Hyungseob outs him "Yeah, but it's not like they don't want it." He rubs the back of his neck, Woojin coughs loudly before an argument of any kind can begin
"Euiwoong got has a point though, it would be nice if we could all contact you."
"Get out your phone, Mijoo. Quickly!" Daehwi says and I pull out my phone. After about ten minutes I had everyone's phone number and various other forms of communication depending on the person.
"We should... go home, now. Right?" Guanlin asks, showing everyone the time. Daehwi pulls a face and nods "We should, unfortunately." We all pick up our stuff and gather around in front of the convenience store "Which way is everyone going?"
"Jihoon and I have to only walk a little bit, so we'll go first. See you all tomorrow." Haknyeon says, turning around a nod then waving at everyone and Jihoon follows him
"Oh yeah, they live really close by." Daehwi mumbles "What about everyone else? I'm assuming buses for the rest of us." We all nod and we collectively walk to the bus stop
"Euiwoong and I take this bus." Hyungseob points the one of the numbers
"Daehwi, Guanlin and I take this one. It's the closest to our houses." Woojin points to another number "Jinyoung, Mijoo what about you guys?" We both look over the list trying to find the right number
"This one." We both say in unison, pointing at the same number.
"How convenient, none of us are travelling alone." Woojin nods, satisfied with how things ended up "So now we just sit and wait." Euiwoong says dropping onto the cold metallic seat, we all follow
"Oh, that's cold." I stand up again, unlike all of them I wasn't wearing pants. Since we were all still on uniform and I stupidly hadn't washed my winter uniform, so the shorter skirt from the summer uniform wasn't exactly helping me. "I think I'll just stand." All of them immediately jumbled around looking for things they could offer to me.
"You could have this, I guess." Hyungseob holds up a blazer, why he had two I don't know.
"I'd offer you my towel but you sort of drenched it this morning so sorry, I don't have anything." Jinyoung shrugs, various clothing items and towels were offered to me.
"No it's okay," I pull my own blazer off and the it around my waist so it hangs below my skirt "this will do." Everyone sighs and puts their stuff back. Buses slowly arrive and everyone gets on their respective buses. Jinyoung and I get on our bus second, we wave goodbye to Hyungseob and Euiwoong who still hadn't left yet,
"See you tomorrow, Jinyoung. Bye, darling!" Euiwoong calls
"Don't call her that." Jinyoung yells back and rolls his eyes, "Sorry, Mijoo." We scan the bus for a spot for us to sit, there's spot near the front where we can both sit down. I pull out my phone and as usual load one of my many dating sims. Jinyoung peers over my shoulder, watching what I'm doing, "Pick the second option." He whispers
"Why?"
"Just trust me, the second option will work." I eye him cautiously and pick the second option, he was right. I was granted a positive response,
"How did you know that would work?" He shrugs and gestures for me to continue "You aren't enjoying this are you?"
"No, not really I'm just bored."
The bus stops and I check the surroundings realising I have to get off "Are you coming?" I stand up with my stuff but Jinyoung stays put "Not your stop I'm guessing?"
"What? No, no, I get off here." He quickly stands up and follows me off the bus. Are you sure you get off here? We both walk down the street until we reach my house
"This is where I live so I have to go now." Jinyoung nods "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow." Right then the door bursts open
"Mijoo! You're back, you believe what I just did. Come inside!" She begins to usher me inside and then she notices Jinyoung "You! Come inside too, you have to see this."
"Uh, I should really be going."
"No, please, come in. I'll feel rude otherwise, mum's already seen you and she'll scold me if I don't make you come in." She drags Jinyoung inside too,
"Mum's home?" I mumble
"For once, yes." She sits both of us down in the kitchen, my mother greets both of us and Eunhye places plates in front of us "I made your portion smaller, but you've still got to try some. It's amazing." She whispers to Jinyoung who nods
"So, who are you young man?" My mother asks Jinyoung
"Uh, Bae Jinyoung. I'm in Mijoo's class."
"And what are you doing here?" She raises her eyebrows and eyes him suspiciously "Oh, I'm a friend of hers and me and some other our other friends were just spending some time together." He gives her a nervous smile
"Oh that's wonderful! You're finally making friends, Mijoo." She clasps her hands together "Are all of your friends attractive young men like Jinyoung here?"
"Mum! Don't embarrass her." My sister places an hand on my mother's arm. I stand up and go to the bookshelf again
"What are you doing, dear?"
"Trying to see if I can show you some of them." I pull out one of the many yearbooks I have collected over the years and flick through "Were the seniors really all in the same class last year?" I ask Jinyoung
"Somehow, yeah. That was before Haknyeon gave up and the maths got too hard for Hyungseob." I show my mother Woojin, Jihoon, Haknyeon and Hyungseob
"These are the four I can show you." She looks over them all and nods "He's attractive." She points and I try and figure out who she's talking about,
"Who? Oh, Jihoon. Yeah, I guess." I figured it was better to just agree with her "There are three others but they're first years so they aren't going to be in there." Jinyoung pulls out his phone
"I might have a picture with Guanlin somewhere, not quite so sure about Daehwi..." He flicks through his pictures "Oh, wait here's one with both of them." He shows my mum the picture "And... here's Euiwoong."
"Such nice looking friends you've made, Mijoo. Much better than the dating sims." I roll my eyes and shove a mouthful of food in my mouth, none of us had actually touched to food yet - I'm the first to do so. My eyes widen whilst I'm chewing and as a natural response I hit Jinyoung's arm really hard
"Ow, what was that for?"
"Eat. The food." I say "This is golden, if you don't get and A for this I'm calling the university and convincing them to change their minds." Jinyoung and my mother try the food, both of them gave my sister very positive responses and after we finish eating, Jinyoung informs us that he has to go.
"Sorry that I couldn't stay longer."
"No, it's okay. I'm just glad you enjoyed my food." My sister smiles at him and I follow him to the door "Thanks for putting up with my mum." He laughs
"It's okay, I'm sorry for staying too long. At least your mother doesn't hate me."
"Yeah, but now she's going to tell me all about how much she wants me to marry one of you." I shudder,
"Euiwoong would take you up on that."
"No thanks, he's the worst option." Jinyoung laughs again "He's not actually that bad." I nod
"I know, but still, I don't think I could deal with someone calling me dear everyday. Anyways, bye." He waves to me and I wave back
"Bye, Mijoo." I walk back into the kitchen to find my mother grinning at me
"You have to marry one of them." I roll my eyes and sigh.
