MONSTERS
I believe that people can become Monsters.
At times, I'm a shapeshifter, becoming my favorite characters from shows and books.
I dawn a trench coat to become Sherlock, and have pie rather than cake on my birthday to become Dean Winchester. I stitch fake seams and patches of purple plaid into a hoodie to become Virgil Sanders, and make jokes at inappropriate times to become my brother.
Sometimes, I'm a werewolf. I turn, and lash out at loved ones, acting on subconscious fears or hatred, feeding off the hearts of others without recall. When I come to, told of what i've done, my guilt outweighs the seven seas.
Other times, I'm a siren. I take the form of what people want to see, and see my true visage in the mirror. A pale humanoid, with hollow eyes and a mouth fused shut.
Every now and then, I'm a leviathan, powerful and clever. Though only temporarily, as without a leader, I am effectively rendered aimless, with nowhere to go.
But no matter what I am, whatever form I take or what I do, my family is always there. Through the thick and the thin, the blood and sweat and tears. Even if I'm a demon, I was once a human. Even if I'm a musca, I still live in a close knit community.
I believe that people can become monsters, but even if you are a monster, you still have humanity and family. "A wise man once told me, 'family don't end in blood. ' But it doesn't start there either. Family cares about you, not what you can do for them, family's there; for the good, bad, all of it. They got your back, even when it hurts."
