Three months prior....

Thump.. Trump.. Thump...

A pair of footsteps filled the halls of the Aether Founadation as a young girl ran. Over her shoulder was a bag which she clutched tightly.

Eventually she reached a lift. Getting aboard it, she breathed a sigh of relief as the Employees who had been following were off her trail.

"Looks like we've gotten away from them, Nebby."

The bag shook in response.

"I know you don't like it in there but trust me. It's for your own good."

"Hey!"

Lillie turned around and noticed two more employees approaching her. Tightening the grip on her bag, she ran for it.

As she turned the corner, Lillie came across four individuals dressed in space suits. One of them took notice of her. In an attempt to cut her off, he opened up his arms and.....

"Hold it right there little lady!"

HISSSSSS!

A loud sound echoed throughout the room as a hideous creature rushed towards Lillie, followed by the frenzied shouts of various employees. Trailing behind it was a sticky trail of goop along with a very pungent lemony smell that was strong enough to irritate the nose.

As soon as the beast got close enough, it pushed the girl aside, lunging at the man. The man fell to the floor as the creature loomed over him, it's large jaws forming into a smile as it began to speak.

"D O Y O U T H I N K I M P R E T T Y?"

Opening it's maw, it prepared to bite. Though most of his face was obscured by the visor he wore, it was pretty obvious the young male was terrified. His eyes shrunk and his already pale blue skin grew even more lighter. As an effort to defend himself, he raised an arm just as the monster brought it's jaws down.

And oh Great Blinding One it hurt.

This creature's bite was enough to tear off a chunk of his uniform sleeve and break the skin in some places.

"Poipole! Acid!"

The beast was hit point-blank in the eyes by a small purple wasp-looking Pokémon. It recoiled in pain, releasing the man's arm from it's maw.

The employees rushed the beast as the man retreated, still holding his injured arm. Two of his comrades rushed to his aid while their Captain assisted in subduing the monster.

Seeing the opportunity, whatever was in Lillie's bag decided to act. A bright light surrounded Lillie and in a flash she was gone.

"Backup! Backup! One of the subjects escaped containment!" A man in green glasses barked orders at a few Employees. Moments later, a few more entered, carrying a limping Lizard scientist.

"We found Dr. Alphys! She's been hurt! We've also gotten another report of three more casualties. The subject attacked one of the members of the Recon Squad and bit his arm pretty badly. Two Employees sustained minor injuries while trying to subdue the creature. Unfortunately, Lillie got away sir." One of them explained to their higher up. He grumbled, clearly fed up with what was going on.

"Take her to the medical room! I'll inform the president about what has happened. We'll have those creatures sealed into that sector since it's of no use trying to contain them anymore."

"Yes Branch Chief Faba."

The employees saluted and carried the scientist off.

No one noticed Alphys smile or heard what she said under her breath.

"Good luck, Lillie...."
