*sirens wailed*
(Muffling sound) "ma'am do you know what happened here? Ma'am we are going to need cooperation. Ma'am" the male officer said although I could barely comprehend. The voices came back into perspective (a/n couldn't word it lmao) "Faust, leave the poor girl alone she just found her mother dead I'll handle it rookie." The woman officer said as she approached me. She was around 5'9" with blonde hair tied up in a tight bun. "Hey sweetie.." she said to me .. I said nothing. "ok we are going to take this slow.. can you tell me your name?" she asked me "Cameron Díaz.." i said quietly "well hello Cameron. i'm Officer Jones, but you can call me Emma." she replied "how old are you sweetie?" "16" i am trying to talk as little as possible. "do you have any idea who could've done this?" i just shook my head no. "do you have anyone we can call?" "my aunt Teresa" "what's your aunts last name?" "Díaz" "the .. the mayor, Teresa Díaz?" i nodded. "i'll call her right away. can you take a seat please?" i sat down as she went to talk to Officer Faust.

"hi Cameron, your aunt is on her way now." "ok" i replied "can you tell us wha-" she was interrupted "Cami!!" a shout in the distance.. "aunt T?!" i ran up to my aunt and gave her a hug. "Mayor Teresa, thank you for coming in such short notice" "anything for my cami" my aunt told the officer. "do you know anyone that could've done this to you sister" "only person i can think of is her ex husband" "aunt T" i said while shaking. "honey.. i'm sorry but-" she stopped speaking to me and started talking to Officer Jones again "when he left them he came to me saying that she'd gone insane and that he couldn't love her anymore, he wanted to take Cameron with him but believed it would be wrong since he doesn't have anywhere to go right now but he'd come back for her.. that was almost a years ago" Officer Jones wrote that down.. "we'll find and question him as soon as we can.. but until then we need to know if Cameron would be able to stay with you.." "of course! i'd love cami to live with me!" "ok y'all are free to go."

she took me to her house and let me settle in.
