You had Friends before Us?

Kera's P.O.V.

I woke up early the next morning to get a shower. After I brushed my hair and threw it back into my normal ponytail, I went to my closet and picked out one of my favorite flannels, a red and black checkered one. I left it unbuttoned, put on a black tank top under it and wore some blue jeans.

When it all looked good I put on my red Converse All Star high tops and laced them one hole from the top. I grabbed my backpack, slung it over my shoulder, and began taking the stairs two at a time.

As I jumped down the last two steps I bumped into Karson who was wearing almost the same thing except he was wearing his black high tops, he had his shirt mostly buttoned, and black jeans.

"Ya know, just because we're twins doesn't mean we have to match all the time." I say walking down the steps to the first floor.

"Yeah, but we both make this look work." He says striking a pose. I laugh and lightly smack his arm. "Race you the bottom!" He says the takes off.

"Oh, your so on." I smile then run down after him. I let him get slightly in front of me then jump onto his back and make him carry me the rest of the way down. "Looks like it's a tie." I laugh and jump off his back.

"I'll get you next time K." He says using the nickname he gave me when we were little kids.

"I'd like to see you try Kar." I smirk and walk into the kitchen where Mom is cooking breakfast. "Morning Mom." I say walking up to her and kissing her cheek. Karson does the same.

"Morning guys. Are you ready for your first day?" She says putting plates with food in front on us. Karson and I share a look.

"Ready as we'll ever be." We say at the same time making Mom laugh. Karson began stuffing his face with scrambled eggs and toast. I start picking at my food. I look at the clock on the stove.

"Alright Mom, time for us to head out. Don't wanna be late on the first day of school." I say grabbing Karson by the back of his shirt. He sighs and puts his plate in the sink.

"Bye Mom. Love you." We say together again. She kisses us both on the cheek.

"Good luck." She calls as we walk out the door.

"Dibs on drving!" Karson yells then runs to the drivers side.

"Fine. But I got dibs on the way home." I smirk. "By the way, Leo said that he'd show us around on our first day so don't worry to much." I said buckling my seat belt.

"I wasn't worried in the first place." He does his cool guy impression making me inwardly barf. Then he pulls out of the driveway.

Ten minutes later we pull into the student parking lot of Mission Creek High School. Yay. I look over at Karson who is still gripping the stearing wheel tightly.

"Ready?" I ask placing one of my hands on top of his. He nods his head then looks at me.

"Ready." He says.

We get out of the car and walk into the building. Suddenly we are surrounded by our fellow students who are all trying to do the same thing we are, make it through school without failing.

I look over at Karson who is breathing kind of heavy. I may have forgotten to mention that he has severe social anxiety. I take his hand and squeeze it one time then let go. He smiles at me then nods.

"C'mon, we have to find Leo." I say as I begin to search the room for my short, child like, best friend. After a few seconds of searching, I heard a familiar voice and looked over to see Leo jumping up and down.

"Kera! Over here!" He says waving his hands like a maniac, see, this is why I love LeLe, he's always good for a lsugh.

"There he is. Let's go." I say pulling Karson towards Leo...and his group of friends.

Leo's P.O.V.

"Ok guys, there's something I didn't mention to you yesterday, but we're getting two new students. Kera and Karson Holden. Kera was one of my best friends growing up and Karson is her twin so I was kinda close to him too. It would mean a lot to me if you guys would be nice and help them out today. I think you'll like them a lot." I finish, taking a deep breath. Man, that was a lot of words.

"Let me get this straight. You had friends before us?" Adam asks seeming very surprised.

"More importantly, you had a female friend before me?" Bree asks even more surprised.

"Guys that's not the point!" I yell growing agitated. They always have trouble understanding things. "Just be nice." I sigh. "Look there they are." I point towards the doorway.

I begin jumping up and down trying to get Kera or Karson's attention. "Kera! Over here!" I yell. Then I see her point this way and pull Karson with her.

When she's standing right in front of me I pull her into a hug.

"Hey LeLe." She says while hugging me.

"Hey KeKe." I say while pulling away. I offer a small wave to Karson. "Kera, Karson. These are my friends/step-siblings, Adam, Bree, and Chase."
