seokjin just came back from a very tiring day shift. getting back home to his pet cat was the best time of the day. he went to his living room and brought his laptop to listen to some music and to continue writing his novel. about an hour in and seokjin was tired out of his mind.

it was just six in the afternoon so he could really go to bed yet. he decided to take a quick nap before getting up and picking up dinner. his fluffy orange and white kitty, acorn, was meowing like crazy but his owner couldn't hear him due to the fact that he had noise cancelling headphones playing soft music.

then a loud noise went around the apartment. the fire alarm was going off. everyone was quickly running out with their children and family. the fire was spreading very quickly so everyone was already out. everyone but seokjin and acorn.

the room was filling up with smoke that it was hard to tell where things were. acorn scratched seokjin's face to wake him up and he woke up coughing. seokjin took off his headphones and realized the problem. the room was almost completely covered in black smoke. he cursed under his breath while coughing.

he grabbed his cat and tried to get out. he was on the 7th floor and all the elevators were broken down. his lungs were filled up by smoke. he felt drowsy, disoriented, and he had shortness of breath as well. he fell to his knees, letting go of his precious cat so he can save himself. his cat didn't leave his side, instead, he risked his life to stay beside him. seokjin cried as hugged his cat once more. there was nothing in life that he loved more than his beloved acorn.

"i'm s-so so-sorry, c-cornie," seokjin said while he laid down to not fall over. his fluffy cat laid beside him, his eyes open. seokjin cried silently while coughing violently. the two were laying there, waiting for there fate to come.

firefighters were shouting from the distance as they shined a flashlight on top of a human body holding a femaline one. but it was far too late.
