The gang made their way through the tunnels until they were directly under the junkyard where Janalyn was being held, but just when they were about to exit about a dozen boys from Drake's gang and rival gangs jumped out at them.

"Oh, shit," Reese said. He wasn't expecting an ambush, but he took his stance ready to fight. "There goes a surprise attack."

The boys did their best to fend of the attack using their hand to hand combat skills. The tunnel was too narrow for Denny to leap without hurting himself or accidentally slamming down on one of his friends by accident.

Reese slammed one of the boys up against the wall of the tunnel knocking him out cold, while Denny punched another in the face. Jordon wasn't left out. He time jumped back ten minutes and landed top side in the junk yard. The trip left his two travelers disoriented and he knocked both of them out with a small bat. He time jumped back into the cave to help out his friends. There were two left, one a husky boy that was beating on his two friends. He still had the bat in his hand and struck him in the back of the head. He went down slowly and right on top of Reese. His two friends and Drake helped to pull him off of Reese, while the rest except one escaped deep into the tunnel. Cree was busy fighting the last boy. She could barely hold him back he was so strong, but she was able to pull his arm back against the concrete walls. She concentrated hard turning the concrete to mud and quickly solidifying it again. He was half subdued, but he blindsided her by putting his hand around her neck.

"Cree!" Reese called out. He quickly ran to his girlfriend and pouched the guy in the face, breaking his grip on her. He was still holding on, but she heated up his arm causing his skin to melt slightly. He screamed out from the pain, but Reese punched him again knocking him out.

Cree sat on the ground still choking and trying to catch her breath. She looked up still breathing heavy. "Thanks." She had a smile on her face as Reese took her in his arms.

"Are you okay?" Reese asked her as he held onto her walking towards their companions.

"Yeah," she said but brought her hand up to her bruised neck. Reese examined it and had a look of anger about his face. "That damned asshole."

"Forget about it," Cree said. "I'm fine." Then she looked over towards Drake. "Now what?"

"We get Janalyn away from my friends," Drake said and walked into the deep tunnel.

There still more coming as the kids fend off another attack and Drake attempts to rescue Jananlyn, but he is in for a surprise.
