Once Cree and Reese returned to the Drell Institute, they both exited his van. Cree could feel Reese's eyes on her and looked over at him to see him staring at her. There was some anger in his eyes mixed with disappointment. Cree knew what he was about to say and didn't want to hear it. It wasn't often that she lost control, but Lea sparked something inside her and she just wanted to punish her for all the grief and torment she had given Cree since she first met her.

She tried to walk out of the parking garage like Reese wasn't even there. Her steps picked up as she felt him getting closer to her, but he had caught up with her and grabbed her arms forcing her to stop.

"Cree, don't run away from me," Reese said. She tried to take her arm back, but he was being more forceful than usual. "What the hell were you thinking back there?"

"I only did what you would do to Drake if your mom hadn't been keeping you away from him," she said, trying to condone her actions. "Besides she started it."

"You didn't have to finish it," Reese said. "When mom finds out..."

"What... are you going to tell her?" Cree asked, but Reese looked deep into her eyes.

"I'm just worried about you. I don't like what happens to you when you get near her. Tell me why you hate her so much."

"It doesn't matter why," Cree said, forcing herself out of his grip. "We have a bigger problem. Jan's been kidnapped, and we don't know by who."

"Fine, Cree, but this isn't over," Reese said as he walked off. Cree followed him, but she was worried. She didn't like it when they fought, and it was mostly because of the secrets she kept from him. True, she had a past with Lea, but she couldn't tell him why she hated her so much. She just couldn't. It was just one more secret she was forced to keep.
