Four.
Where was he? She thought in desperation. She hated the behavior of obsession over a complete stranger, but she knew it would soon end, short-lived, and she'll be blended into the crowd yet again. Her friend chattered in front of her, more than often criticizing the audience for not paying the slightest bit of attention to the script they prepared with such delicacy as to not offend anyone. The last time something as such occurred, a particular teacher took a strong offence to the drama being performed and created a scene. But she was a crazy old lady, just like all the other teachers in the school were. As her friend kept blabbering like the chatterbox she was, her eyes carefully searched the room. Where was he? She thought again.
They got up, to put their plates away. Her friend excused herself to go to the restroom and she parted ways, in search for ice cream. The line for ice cream was long and she tapped her foot impatiently. She was almost at the counter, when she heard a voice behind her. "Excuse me?" He said, as she picked up her bowl. She turned around, astounded. It was him! He gave her a small smirk and asked her if the ice cream was good. She nervously took a mouthful and nodded, not once breaking their gaze. She noticed his eyes then, for the first time. They were brown, like hers, but they had this sparkle in them. His eyes darted to her lips and his eyebrows pushed forward. His lips formed the words "ice cream" and instead of rubbing it off with her hand, she licked it with her tongue. His heart burned at her sexy move. Fuck, fuck, fuck, how sexy was that he thought. And they couldn't move. Someone from behind shouted at them to move quick and she quickly went back, and his eyes burnt her back.
Holy shit, did that just happen?
All through the day, she kept catching him staring at her, but he never stopped. Despite the fact that a brilliant blush came upon her face whenever she caught him, but she never refused to stop searching for him. Maybe because the tingle of emotions she got when she was with him, was rare and unlike any other. Maybe because she liked it, as much as she hated to admit it to herself. But she knew that after this one month, everything between them would vanish before anything even started.
