Sierra: First day at Lightning Ridge High as a Senior
"Well that was... interesting" I muttered under my breath, I never saw anyone handle Silver quite as well as Saffron had although no-one has really survived an encounter with the raven-haired goth to begin with, so I had to stand in before things got violent. The three of us walked together through the picturesque school-grounds grabbing the attention of freshman and seniors alike throughout the vicinity. I must admit a gothic bad-girl, a cutesy new-girl and an acclaimed geek such as myself walking together like some freaky circus marching-band would strike the attention of the normal majority.
In case you don't know my name is Sierra Manning, the daughter of Ellaine Manning and a-man-without-a-name-or-face, that's right I'm a fatherless only child. My mother never remarried however tried to make relationships work with at least five other men but they never worked out. "So Saffron, where have you come from originally?" I asked pausing to check my planner. AP Calculus, great. "Well, I came from the beach near South Port. You heard of South Port?" it was obvious Silver wasn't paying neither of us any attention as she obnoxiously walked-off leaving me alone with Saffron, "Yeah, South Port is where the school holds a majority of its leadership excursions." I answered. She replied reluctantly with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"So Saffron, do you know what classes you're in, maybe I can help you get around?" she pulled out a crippled planner that the school must have sent her, "Um, I have AP Art, Maths Extension, AP English, Ancient History, Physics, Photography and Journalism" I liked the girl already. "I'm in three of your classes, I'll show you to your Maths Classroom and then I'll pick you up for Ancient History, Cool?" she nodded and then walked into a blonde wearing a football jersey. He's new too, apparently. After finding Saffron's locker and putting her into Maths Extension in one piece. I went to calculus which turned out to be not as exciting as I originally thought.
One and a half hours later...
I walked out of AP Calculus holding my assignment, thank you very much Mr. Kinsley. I marched speedily to Extension Mathematics before the second bell could ring and found Saffron giggling at something the blonde from earliar said. It's nice to know she was making some friends. However in the corner of my eye, Silver stood glaring at me with deep black-yellow eyes and a glistening anger that startled me.
"Hey Sierra" Saffron called out snapping me out of the trance that Silver casted. "This is Cade, he's in my maths class" She stated looking dreamingly in owe of the blonde known as Cade.
"Hi Sierra" he smiled awkwardly.
"Hi there, Cade" I said shaking his calloused hand as Silver held her dark gaze over me. "Excuse me" I muttered to the would-be new couple at Lightning Ridge as I walked past Silver whose icy composure didn't abate as I walked pass her. Something was definitely wrong with this girl."Well that was... interesting" I muttered under my breath, I never saw anyone handle Silver quite as well as Saffron had although no-one has really survived an encounter with the raven-haired goth to begin with, so I had to stand in before things got violent.
