| Chapter 24: A New Perspective. |

"Are you sure about this?" Dean questioned, almost glaring at Castiel as Sam crawled on top of the kitchen table that was now dressed for the occasion with a black table cloth and tiny candles outlining Sam's body. Sierra and Bobby pushed their way into the kitchen with a second, almost identical, table and mimicked the dressings for Sierra's departure.

"Obviously not." Castiel spoke clearly as he continued stretching. "There isn't any certainty when going on the other side unscheduled."

"Don't we know it?" I grumbled, eating a bowl of popcorn behind Bobby's desk, earning a small glare from Dean as he moved around Castiel, who started to prep Sierra the same way he did Sam.

"Sammy..." frowned Dean and I watched as he leaned against the table and scanned Sam's position. "...I don't know about this."

"Dean," sighed Sam, leaning up onto his elbows. "How many times have we died and have found a way to bring the other back?"

"Irrelevant." Dean barked, glaring at his little brother then turning to me, "Are you not concerned about Sierra?"

"Duh." I smirked, catching Sierra's eye. "She's a tough Bitch though, she'll pull through. If not, I'll raise - literal - hell to find her and drag your ass back."

"Yep," Sierra turned to Dean. "if one of us has to stay in this realm and suffer, then both of us have to."

Dean flashed a fake grin over Sierra, glanced at me and then turned back Sam as he gently shook his head. I placed the bowl down Bobby's desk and moved into the Kitchen to tangle my fingers within Dean's and kissed his shoulder before leaning my head on it.

"It drives you crazy not being the one doing this crazy shit, doesn't it?" Sam grinned up at us as I silently nodded and chuckled as Dean shook his head in unison with me.

"Sierra," I sang, turning from Dean and Sam and embracing the sketchy sister. "Come back, alright?"

"Dani," smiled Sierra, pulling away from me. "You're not the only one with the skills of a Hunter. You act like you're the only character in this story with skills worth these type of missions."

I grinned as we both shared a chuckle, then a knowing silence hung over us as my gaze shifted from the masking Sierra to an observing Castiel.

"Cas," I sighed, moving to him as he looked into my eyes. "Explain To me again how this works?"

Castiel smiled a small smile as he spoke, "I send them over, with my 'magic," He utilized hair quotes and 'jazz hands' before continuing to speak. "They are sent where they're focused on, and I'll pull them out after about 20 minutes if nothing goes wrong."

"Besides," Sierra appeared next to us. "I'm only a backup, remember?" I faked a grin as I looked over at Sam, concerned. "Trust me." Sierra sighed, getting my attention.

"I've tried that before." I shot, frowning and moving silently back into the office and dropping back down into Bobby's chair and returning to my bowl of oversalted and over buttered popcorn.

*

"Are you ready?" Castiel asked, as I exhaled slowly and closed my eyes with a small nod. I flinched at Castiel's whispers and opened my right eye as the image of Dean beaming at me faded from view and I could feel myself slipping away, which caused me to squeeze my eyes shut.

After a few moments, everything went silent.

I couldn't hear Dean's heavy breathing, Dani's crunching of her popcorn, Castiel's whispers, Bobby's heater kicking on and off, the squeak of the floorboards as Sierra paced.

Nothing.

I opened my eyes to take in - literally - nothing. I rose to my feet off a ground that I could feel but not see. Everything was a solid color, strangely not white or black - but grey.

I adjusted my jacket as I took in, the lack of, my surroundings, and I didn't see a single soul, entity or being of any sort. It was just me, alone, until I heard footsteps echoing around the nonexistent walls.

I turned, attempting to follow the sound - but couldn't, considering there was nothing for it to bounce off of, but I could still hear them.

"Sam Winchester." sighed a voice that finally seemed to have a source as a man, dressed completely in black and was as pale as - literal - death, walked up out of the grey, almost out of a fog. He was clapping and seemed more than amused to see me standing before him. "I've been longing for this meeting."

I nodded slightly, taking in his figure as he came to a stop a few feet in front of me.

"And you are?" I questioned, raising my eyebrows at his eyes as I realized they were just solid black.

"I've been watching you and your brother for a long time, that Danielle is a spit-fire isn't she?" He chuckled, beginning to circle me. "Such a Tease, right?"

I remained silent, put off by his insight, but trying to study him, not his words.

"To have the nerve to sleep with you, the way she did - it was nice wasn't it?" He smiled, beginning to adjust his sleeves. "And then pick Dean over you...too bad you aren't that child's father...she probably would have still picked Dean over you...?"

I glared at him.

"Everyone tends to do that, don't they?" He frowned a fake frown, stopping in front of me.

I blinked at him, feeling the pain of his words, the truth seeping through my pores as I struggled to stay focused. Then an overwhelming realization came over me and I spoke for the first time.

"Lucifer." I felt a weird grin come over me as Lucifer smiled back.

"Clever, you always were." He smirked, pointing at me as he spoke. "Too bad it's always been overshadowed by Dean and his -"

"- cut the shit." I snapped, interrupting him and feeling an almost instant pinch of regret as his smile froze on his lips. "I'm here because of the part you played in almost killing Dani."

"Oh," He smirked, not removing the smile. "That." He sighed, finally allowing the smile to fade as he placed his hands behind his back, which made me slightly nervous. "What about it, what do you want?"

"For you to leave her alone." I spoke, bluntly.

"That's already been established, she's served her purpose." He spoke clearly, barely blinking.

"Raphael seems to think there's a debt that wasn't fulfilled." I pushed forward. "We're not sure if this debt is with you or God...but that kid deserves a clean slate, at least to start with."

"Awfully big of you." Lucifer looked impressed as he chuckled a little. "The debt isn't with me."

'How the hell am I supposed to believe you?" I growled back.

"Because Rapheal means nothing to me and he doesn't work or exist for me..." He trailed off, allowing a knowing silence to hover over us.

*

"I'm going in." I interjected into the silence as everyone stared at Sam's lifeless body. "It's been over 20 minutes, Cas..."

"...I was going to pull him out, but there's something stirring..." Castiel spoke as he helped Sierra onto the other kitchen table.

"Guys, we have company!" called Bobby as Dean shot to his feet, gently keeping Dani seated as I made eye contact with my sister. "Raphael, he knows we're trying something...grab the shotgun with the special bullets under the desk top."

"Go." She pushed, as Castiel closed his eyes, as I did the same. Not before shooting a small frown and nodding to my sister as I slipped away, following Sam.

I awoke in a very blank space, it wasn't black nor white - but grey. I rose to my feet and took in the nothingness, only to freeze a sudden voice from behind me.

"Sierra Rhett."
