| Chapter 18: Brother's Blood. |

"Hey, can we talk?" Asked Sam, knocking gently slowly slipping into the room, causing Dean to whip around and rise to his feet immediately.

"Dean." I gasped, attempting to stop him from reacting, but could barley move through the body aches.

"Dean." Echoed Sam, realizing what he had just walked in on and threw up his hands in a surrendering pose.

"Sammy," Dean growled, approaching his brother, who was now backing into the door and causing it to shut. "What are you doing?"

"I wanted to talk to Dani." Sam hesitantly gestured towards me while still holding them up. "Is that so wrong?"

"I don't know, is fucking my girl wrong?" Dean asked, almost shouting.

"Dean." I choked, attempting to stand, but collapsing and not being able to catch myself in time and slid right off the side of the bed and landed onto the ground.

"Dani." Gasped Dean, rounding on me and immediately helping me up to my feet and helping me sit down. "I'll get rid of him -"

"- No." I gasped, flinching at my rib pain. Dean paused and Sam's eyebrows shot up. "I need to talk to him."

"But -" started Dean, pointing over his shoulder to make a point, but I interrupted him.

"- But nothing, you can stay - I just need to talk to him too." I whimpered, frowning at my unmade bed as I slowly slid back under the sheets and blankets. As I slid back under them, I glanced up to see Dean clenching his jaw in frustration as he stepped aside and allowed Sam to step by him and watched him closely as he dropped into the same spot Dean had just occupied. "Hi Sam."

"How are you?" Sam asked, hesitantly glancing between Dean and myself.

"Tired." I sighed heavily, adjusting the layered edge of the sheets and blankets before looking up into Sam's warm eyes. "Sore...you?"

"Uh, nervous." He answered honestly, fully turning to see Dean leaning against the wall, not too far from the bed. His eyes burning holes in the back of Sam's head already. "I wanted to check on you and talk to you about what happened back at the hotel -"

"- oh?" I interjected, accidentally and making Sam smile at my interruption.

"It was the be -" Sam started, but I interrupted on purpose this time catching Dean's face flushing red at where Sam was going with this.

"- Sam, it was a mistake." I stated, causing Dean to pause in mid movement. Sam's face slightly fell as I spoke. "I like you Sam, I do. What happened between us was real, but it was a mistake."

"How can it be real and a mistake?" Sam almost giggled out of frustration.

"You have to understand," I frowned, dropping my gaze. "I didn't have any memory of Dean and I, and you were there...in some of the best ways someone could be there for someone else." I sighed, feeling a wave of guilt come over me. "I say it was real because it was, the feelings...the heat...the screams -"

"- hey -" snarled Dean warningly.

"- My point is," I sighed loudly through Dean's interjection. "I like you Sam, but I love Dean...and with my memory back -"

"- your memory's actually back?" Sam gasped, out of breath, rising to his feet almost in an awkward manner while managing to take my hand. "Alright, that's great uh -"

"- Sam?" I started, but he started nodding in almost a panicking ways he started backing away from me slowly.

"No that's amazing, I'm just going to uh -" He started, pointing over his shoulder towards the door and turned to exit, only for Dean to step off the wall and into his line of sight. "- Dean..."

"...Sam." He tilted his head slightly, popping his knuckles.

"Fair." He squinted and braced himself as Dean shook his hand out and then balled it up into a fist, and before I could say or react to anything, he flung the fist into Sam's face and I watched in horror as Sam collapsed to the ground.

"Sam!" I gasped, watching the collision. My eyes darted up at Dean, whose face remained firm as he glared down at his brother, wincing in pain. "Dean." I barked, only to earn a glance before Dean lowered his fists and outstretched his hand, helping his Brother to his feet.

"Fair." Sniffled Sam, holding his nose before exiting the room.

"Dean..." I whined as Dean just waved me away walked out of the room only to barge back into the room to peck me on the lips and in right back back out to, what I would assume was to, help his Brother with his bloody nose. "...Jesus Christ."

"What was that about?" Sierra appeared peaking through the doorway after dodging Dean.

"Brother's working shit out." I shrugged, shaking my head at the aftermath as Sierra mirrored me and entered the room. "I guess you'd an come in -"

"- Oh, can I -?" She started, but I interjected purposefully rude.

"- you didn't ask about getting on Dean's dick, why should entering my room be any different?" I blinked rapidly, feeling my petty switch turn as Sierra's face dropped and her eyes widened.

"This, again?" Sierra asked, placing her hands on her hips.

"Why not?" I shrugged, crossing my arms. "You fucked him twice, knowing how I felt about him -"

"- you didn't even have your memory of you two...how the fuck did you know how you felt about him -?"

"- is this how you're justifying this?" I asked, almost laughing out loud. "You're incredible."

"What?" Sierra blinked, struck by my blunt words.

"You fuck Nick and watch him get with me and don't even bother to tell me - then you watch him break my heart by not being honest with me, move on and become happy - only for you to do it all over again...how the fuck is there any justification for what you've you done, who you are...what you are?" I asked, finally making Sierra fall silent.

I blinked at her, as she just lowered her gaze and stood there, awkwardly.

"Nothing to say?" I asked, as Sierra's eyes flickered from the floor to me as she exited the room.

I just glared after her as some memories flooded to mind:

**
I caressed the Moon Rock in my hand, watching it shimmer in the moonlight, frowning down at it. Remembering what real hell that Sierra and I went through to steal it. Although a faded memory came in and out of my mind, as did a grin. Those memories were quickly being replaced by the idea of her and Nick.

"You're really going to give that to Lillith, aren't you?" Sierra appeared behind me, closing the screendoor quietly behind her. "Why, you don't even know this Lisa or Ben...and it's not like Dean's anything special."

"Dean is -" I paused, contemplating my words carefully. "- important."

"To you...?" Sierra pushed, squinting her eyes attempting to connect the dots. "Have you two -?"

"- No." I shot, almost growling. "Like that would matter anyway."

"You like him!" Sierra giggled, moving across the pourch and almost squealing. "Don't you?"

I fought the erge to fall into our sister banter about, yet, another boy, but it was too strong to resist as I found I couldn't fight my grin anymore and allowed a blush to release itself.

"Good for you," Her voice rang against my ears. "He's hot."

"I know." I sighed, heavily and finding msyelf biting my lip.

"How do you know if he likes you back?" Sierra questioned, leaning against the railing with me. "I mean, he obviously carries something for this Lisa and her son...is Ben his -?"

"- No -" I shot shortly as she pushed on her rant.

"- Okay, because that'd be weird. Anyway, you giving the Moon rock to Lillith is huge...why would you risk so much for someone you've known for like a week?"

"There's a kid involved, Sierra." I stated, annoyed now that I even fell back into this type of banter with her. "Besides, what's it to you?"

"Your saftey means the world to me, Dani -" frowned Sierra, turning to me. "- are you really going to hold this Nick shit against me forever."

"No," I sighed, turning to her again. "but I'm not ready to let it go just yet -"

"- can I ask -" started Sierra, making me stop short after attempting to walk away from her.

"- what?" I shot, coldy.

"- why are you so upset about it? Is it the fact we slept together or -?"

"- It's everything. I was with him, Sierra." I beamed. "He was my boyfriend for so long, and neither of you felt the need to tell me?"

Sierra lowered her gaze.

"Neither of you decided that it was important enough to say anything when I started telling you that I thought I loved him?" I asked, gesturing into the house. "Why are you two even still here?"

"Because we care about you!" shouted Sierra, clenching her fists.

"Obviously not enough to open your mouth." I shouted back.

**

"Dani!" chimed a voice, breaking this weird tension that just clayed itself between Sam and myself. I looked over to see Sierra jolting from the bottom of the staircase, through Bobby's office and into the Kitchen where she all but tackled me to the ground. "Where the fuck have you been?"

"Finding a way to deal with Lillith." I stated, as Sam's eyebrows shot up.

"So you have been busy?" Sam chuckled, as I watched him and Sierra exchange some sort of spark before Sierra spoke again.

"Nick has been losing his mind!" giggled Sierra, pulling me to the Kitchen table as Sam joined us. "He's been calling you -"

"- you have too -" I mentioned, but Sierra pushed on.

"- He's been sleeping in the front porch, he's been nonstop about you!" Sierra explained, but then realized the tension that lingered between msyelf and Sam. "Did I miss something?"

"Yes."

"No."

Sierra looked between myself and Sam, confused.

"Dean and I -" I started, but Sierra thought she knew the ending of my statement.

"- did you guys kiss?!" she sqealed, excitedly.

"Yes, but -" I started, but she interrupted again.

"- Did you guys sleep together?!" she asked, in the same annoying, ear-drum busting tone.

"Yes, but Sierra -" I started, again, but she rose to her feet to interrupt me again.

"Are you two together?!"

"Jesus Christ!" gasped Sam, looking up at Sierra and then dully at me.

"Yes." I nodded, ignoring Sam's disapproval as Sierra smiled down at me. "You and Nick could..." I trailed off, feeling a little tug on my heart but Sierra's eyes lit up, although her body language seemed to be conflicted.

"...we'll see." Sierra waved me away. "I have someone else in mind." she grinned, glancing at Sam, who just looked between us and then slowly rose to his feet and disappeared out of the kitchen, causing Sierra and I to burst out laughing. "Has Nick found out yet?" she asked, getting up and getting us two beers from the fridge.

"Yeah, he saw us come in." I sighed, heavily. "Who knows what he and Dean are doing."

"Probably working it out." shrugged Sierra, pulling the tab on her beer and sipping on it. "Are...are we okay?"

I frowned at her.

"It's going to take time, Sierra." I frowned, taking her hand that was placed on the table in between us. "You really hurt me, and so did Nick - but you more than him."

Sierra swallowed hard and lowered her head in shame.

"You slept with him, before we dated and you didn't bother to tell me, knowing how I felt about him." I started, glaring down at my unopened beer. "Then we started dating, and neither of you felt the need to tell me, Sierra - we used to tell each other everything...why was Nick any different?"

Sierra sighed into the table.

"Was it because he's a boy?" I asked, giggling, trying to shave the tension. "Was it because we were heavy in the church at that point and you were ashamed...?"

Silence fell over us for a few moments before Sierra spoke.

"He was my first." fell out of her mouth, as if it was acid on the floor. My jaw dropped as she continued, "We were drunk at Matthew Rule's Senior Year Party."

I adjusted myself in the chair as I listened intently.

"When we first met, at that party, I had no clue he was the Nick you would talk about." frowned Sierra, looking up at me. "Then we we got to talking, I found out he had a crush on me - and that was after Brad ghosted me."

"Fuck Brad." I shot, finally opening my beer and continuing to listen.

"We started trying to out drink each other and the next thing I knew, we were waking up the next morning, naked, in the back of his truck in the middle of Old Man Cherl's field." Sierra frowned down at the table again, which she held most of the time she spoke.

"Sierra," I called her name gently, as she downed the rest of her beer, but before I could say anything she added something.

"Then I watched him act like we never happened after he met you." she spoke with some venom in her tone, as I felt a slight insult strike me.

"Sierra," I frowned, pulling my chair closer to her. "Why didn't you tell me all of this?"

"Because you seemed so happy that he finally saw you, and then when you guys got together...you just seemed like you were on cloud nine." Sierra explained, finally looking up at me. "Now, you seem different."

"Different?" I echoed.

"You don't seem to be on cloud nine with Dean," Sierra smiled. "I know you guys haven't known each other for very long, but you seem to be glowing with him. He matches you energy, if anything balances you out...and I love that for you."

"Sierra," I smiled, as she looked at her beer can and sighed again. "I'm so sorry that I didn't know any of that."

"How are you supposed to know, if you don't know?" She shrugged, looking at me again. "You know?"

"Yeah, but if I had known all of that, I wouldn't have done anything with Nick. I would have figured out what to do with my feelings and shoved him back to you." I explained, pulling her into a hug. "It'll take some time, Sierra - but I think we'll be okay."

"We as in...?" Sierra seemed to sniffle into my shoulder.

"We as in, me and you, dummy!" I giggled, pushing her off me. "You're my sister and I'd pick you over anyone in a heartbeat."

"Ditto, Bitch!" smiled Sierra, pulling me into a hug and squeezing as hard as she could.

**

The door squeaked louder than normal through the darkness of my room. The echo caused me to shift in bed and turn over to my left side, attempting to ignore the squeak, assuming I was just hearing things or possibly dreaming, only to freeze at the sudden shift in my bed.

My eyes widened at the moment.

I froze for a moment, assessing my situation.

Someone crawled into the bed, slid under the sheets and wrapped their muscular arms around me as tightly as they could. I frowned at the tightness and slide back onto my back to freeze in fear as the moonlight illuminated Nick's face.

"What are you -?" I attempted to shout, but he slammed his hand over my mouth as he pulled the blankets over top of us and...

"Dani! Dani...Baby!" Came Dean's voice, pulling me from the violating nightmare as I bolted upright in bed.

I was soaked in sweat.

Shaking and absolutely mortified as Dean's warm hands gently guided me back onto my back onto the sweat soaked sheets, he wrapped his arms back around me and pulled me in close.

"Nick?" He asked, quietly through the dark.

I couldn't even respond, all I could muster up was a whimper, which he pulled me even closer into him for. He placed his chin on my head as he adjusted back onto his back and allowed me to lay on my right side, placing my head on his bare chest. He ran his fingers through my hair and shhed my silently.

"Dani..." he whispered, as I was almost calmed down enough to start to doze off again.

"Yeah?" I whispered back.

"...will you ever tell me, what he did?" Dean asked into my forehead as I felt his entire body tense at the implication my nightmare was giving.

"One day." I yawned, and melted into his safety figure as he pressed his lips against my forehead.

"Dani..." he whispered again, making me pick my head up this time to face him. "...I would never...you know that right?"

I smiled up at his green, moonlight illuminated eyes, leaned up and pressed my lips ever so softly against hips. He hummed against my kiss as we both slowly melted into each other, allowing the longing, yearning and heat to take the night from us.
