| Chapter 1: Through Your Eyes. |
I watched them gather from afar.
I clenched my jaw at the tug in my chest as I watched the figure I knew was my sister, Sierra, squat next to the coffin that rested on those lowering mechanisms, and could barley keep her balance from crying so hard.
I felt the need to walk up and comfort her, but when I went to move, a familiar pressure illunated on my shoulder, and I frowned as I moved back behind the tree to glare at Nick.
"You said I could come." I glared, as Nick shook his head as he spun me back around to face to the funeral and held me with his arms wrapped around me as he whispered slowly in my ear.
"I didn't say you could participate."
I swallowed hard as he began lightly kissing my neck as I began to scan the rest of the crowd. Only to almost be seen by the short handsome one that seemed to be scanning the graveyard himself.
"You have 45 minutes and then we have to make our move tonight." Nick instructed as he stepped away from me, finally releasing me, and made his way back to the car we arrived in that parked on the street that wasn't far from where we stood.
I frowned over at him as I pulled my gaze back to the funeral and watched as people slowly disappeared, from the supportive required area that hovered over Sierra.
I watched as three men stayed back.
The short one continued to scan the graveyard as he sniffled to himself and slid his thumb under his eyes and there was a small voice in my head that whispered; "He does that when he's upset, his tough guy cry as he calls it."
I shook my head, feeling a tug in my chest as I actually made eye contact with him, only for me to clench my jaw, and tried to run, but I held onto his gaze like a familiar friend.
Heat and energy shot through my veins.
I frowned at him, as he mirrored me.
I took a deep breath, looking back at the black car that Nick was waiitng for me in, and slid around the tree trunk and made my way up to the four souls left at the graesite; Sierra and those three men.
"Hi, did you know them?" Sierra greeted, and was a little taken back with how dark and thick my viel was. "Do we know you?"
I nodded sightly, moving passed Sierra and stood between the two caskets.
"Did you know them?" Sierra repeated, as the three men eyed me suspicously.
"You could say that?" I grunted, attempting to mask my voice.
"How?" asked the older of the three men.
"We worked together." I grunted again, and was a little releaved that they were buying this.
I frowned down at both caskets and kissed Glinda's freshly polished lid. I moved and mirrored myself over Bill's flat colored lid.
"You knew them both?" asked the taller of the three men.
"I did." I grunted, moving over to Sierra, also moving out of the way of the Graveyard officals who were beginning to lower them into the gorund. "Here." I grunted silently, passing Sierra a small box and as she looked down and rose her head to say something, I was gone.
I slid into the backseat of the black car Nick waited for me in. I turned to pull my viel out of my face, only to suddenly have a painful shove come against my jaw, causing my head to snap in the same direction.
I tasted blood.
I frowned down, seeing some bloody drops dripping onto the black dress I was wearing. I looked up at Nick, who looked absolutely inraged.
"You weren't supposed to go near them." He growled, as driver rolled up the middle window and the usual 'correction' began.

"What is this?" Azazel confronted me as we walked into the house.
"She managed to fall on the goddamn curb at the graveyard." smirked Nick, shoving his way passed me and nodded at Azazel.
"You got close didn't you?" glared Azazel, just earning more silence from me. "Eventually you will have to speak, you know? Have normal conversation with us, you'll be here for a while."
I just remained silent, and lowered my head.
"Get out of my sight." He snarled, as I charged up the stairs and into my room, only to quietly shut the door.
"Fuck!" I gasped, quietly, holding my jaw and nose as I moved into the bathroom and glared at my reflection that appeared bruised, bleeding and exhausted. "Goddamn it." I frowned, feeling those salty tears begin to stream down my face as I started to patch myself up. Suddenly remembering that i didn't lock my door, which I flew across my room to do so, but not before I made out some of the conversation occuring at the foot of the stairs:
"...did she say anything to them?" came Azazel's voice, he was attempting to whisper, but the man couldn't do shit for shit.
"How the fuck am I supposed to know?" snapped Nick's voice. "She walked up there, before I even knwo what was going on, said her goodbyes and bolted back to the car."
"You obviously corrected this then?" grawled Azazel, as Nick just smacked his lips.
"Did you see her when she came in?" Nick responded, only for me to jump at a sudden series of thuds echoing through the houses' structure. "We have to keep her in line for this to work!"
"There are other ways than damaging the package." shouted Azazel, and I heard footsteps coming up the stairs, so I quietly shut my door and locked it before moving back into the bathroom to continue to patch msyelf up.
"Damage the package." I repeated to myself as I began to wash my face before I started applying make up to the bruises and the forming black eye. "Package?" I paused, before continuing.
I frowned at my face once I finished touching up my face with freshmake up, and with a quick squint, I slapped the light switch to darken the room. I flung myself onto my bed, staring up at the wood lined ceiling.
I closed my eyes as lightly as I could, and focused on Sierra's face - strangely harder than usual - and something in my mind slowly forced me to whisper; "Sierra."
Suddenly I was standing in front of a sink, looking down at my hands then back up to the bubbles in the sink as I realized - my body wasn't moving along with the body I was seeing, that's when it me.
I was seeing through Sierra's eyes.
