| Chapter 0: Betrayal. |
"...must've been off that flashdrive, Dani - Babe - could you grab that flashdrive in my bag?" asked Dean, typing a little more on the laptop as I moved across the room and picked up his bag to palce on the bed to start digging through.
"Where is it?" I asked, beginning to pull some of his clothes out and tossing them onto the bed.
"Should be the inside pocket, the front side of the interiror of the bag." Dean instructed, earning a dead glare from me as I began to dig deeper, and he giggled as he watched, but the smile on his lips evaporated when I paused in my digging and pulled out a pastel pink, lacy bra.
My face dropped as I looked from the bra to Dean, whose face flushed white. He watched as I lowered the bra so I coudl read the tag on it. My eyes went wide and looked up at Dean impressed.
"Wh -?" started Dean, but I shut him down fast.
"Nope, I'm just trying to figure out how to approach this." I stated, moving around the bed and dropping down on the mattress facing Dean. "I have two reactions here I could go with, and I think I'm going to let you pick which one i do."
"Wh - ?" Dean attempted to speak again as I held up a hand.
"Option one," I glared rising to my feet and slowly approaching him from the bed. "I react as your girlfriend, blow my fucking top only for you to say that she was nothing, it happened while I was gone and that you didn't know when or if I would be found etc. etc. etc?" I smirked, mockingly gesturing with my hand.
Dean swallowed hard as I stopped right in front of the chair he occupied, leaning down so that I was at eye level with him, while still holding the bra in my right hand, allowing it to hang over the used hotel room carpet.
"Option two," I sighed, following his gaze, as he attempted to look away from me. "I react as your friend, ask you how you amanged to score someone with a bigger chest than your ex's. Ask you how good she was? Ask you where I could find her -?"
"Dani." sighed Dean, rising to his feet, causing me to step back to allow him to stand.
"Dean." I mocked, as his eyes locked on mine with a knowing frown. "What was her name?" I asked with an deep beath being taken and an eye roll.
"She was no one." Dean answered, and when he saw my unstatisfied glare, he shook his head, lowering his gaze. "She was nothing to me, Dani."
"Dean," I smirked, causing him to stop as he was about to say something else. "Option 1 or 2?"
Dean frowned, glaring down at the floor.
I felt a familiar knot forming in my throat.
My chest began to ache.
I fought back tears as I looked up into the popcorn ceiling and then down at the pink bra. I nodded slowly, and it eventually made it to a hard nod.
"Here." I quivered, passing him the bra back.
Hesitantly he took it, but then followed me across the room as I barrelled for the door.
"Dani -" He started, shoving the door shut in my face before I could pull the door passed ajar. "- It was only one girl -"
"- one time?" I quesitoned, without turning back to him. I fixated my eyes on the chipped paint on the metal hotel room door. I began to wonder why something so simple was still fucked up.
I slowly turned to face to Dean, applying the same ideal to us.
"It was -" He started, but we both had a slunking slow burn of a realization that he had waited too long to respond.
"- more than once?" I asked, feeling my brow begin to wrinkle.
"Jessica didn't -" started Dean, but I held up my hand, nodding again. "- Dani -"
"- Here." I smirked, glaring around at him after he shoved the door shut again before I could get it passed ajar again. His eyes went wide as I pulled off the Promise Ring. "Take it."
"Dani -" He hesitated, releasing the door and peering down at the ring.
"- you broke it." I scoffed, slamming the door in his face.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.
I frowned, looking up and down the walk way as he answered the door.
"Dani?" He yawned, but my eyes slid from his face down his built chest and the fact he was just in boxers.
"Sam." I sniffled.
