Jimin curled into a ball inside his makeshift nest, clutching his stomach. His eyes stung as his heart clenched. He nuzzled into the sheets instinctively missing the scent he longed for. The oil diffuser did its best to drown him with his favorite rosewood and cardamom, but it wasn't enough.

The hotel room was luxurious and comfortable, but it wasn't home. This wasn't his nest. He sniffled as he tried to get comfortable.

Taehyung stayed with him until a few hours ago before leaving to give him some much-needed privacy. Jimin had taken off his clothes, lying only in his boxer briefs.

Preheat was messing with his emotions and making his skin itchy. The scentless blankets were soft, but it wasn't what he preferred.

An omega's heat only grew worsened with age. He was in his prime where he should have been already mated and with an alpha. Spending heats without an alpha by his side only made everything worse. The world was now advanced and they had heat suppressants, but that often came with side effects.

For Jimin, it not only messed with his hormones once he weaned off his suppressants but also send him into phantom heats unexpectedly in the middle of nowhere. It also took a huge toll on his emotional health.

The painkillers never worked on him during his heat. So the upcoming heat was stressing him a lot. If he was going to spend it alone, he at least wanted to be in his nest at the safety of him home. But home wasn't a safe place anymore. Tears burned his eyes at the memory.

His home was breached and his nest was desecrated. He had cried when he found, which was another cause for his current mental state. Taehyung had held him but it wasn't enough. His omega howled in his mind. It was devastated. He buried his face into the pillow with a gut wrenching sob. Everything was too much.

His father wanted to move him elsewhere, but he refused. He didn't want to be anywhere else. As he lay there, he replayed his conversation with Taehyung. His cousin was right. They won't be able to hide this for long. Soon they would find out.

"Uncle."

Jaehyun looked up from his phone at Seokjin. "Yes."

"The Jeons agreed to meet with us today." He glanced at his wristwatch. "We have to be there in an hour."

Jaehyun frowned. "That's fast." He stood. "I'll ask my secretary to clear my schedule for the day. Where are we meeting them?"

"In their mansion." Seokjin turned to lead the way. "It's a forty-five minute drive if the traffic is light. Taehyung is joining us."

"Oh, where is Namjoon?" he asked, pocketing his phone.

"He's out with Jimin. He needed to buy some nesting supplies," Seokjin informed.

Jaehyun paused. "What? Isn't he in his preheat? It's not safe."

Seokjin sighed. "I know." He opened the office door for him and they strode to the elevator. "He applied scent blockers. The loss of his nest was a hard on him. This upcoming heat is particularly taking a toll on his emotional condition. So Namjoon couldn't say no when he asked this morning. They have two teams of bodyguards with them and they left through the private exit in a rental car."

Jaehyun's throat constricted. "I'll never forgive that bastard for what he did to my son." His fists clenched by his side. "They destroyed his nest. His safe place."

An omega's nest was sacred to them. He didn't expect Heesung to go that extreme. He would make sure the bastard paid for his sins. Or at least try until his last breath. What kind of person would do that to someone they wished to mate? He already knew Heesung didn't have good intentions with Jimin. But he never expected him to be a psychopath.

"It's gonna be alright, Uncle. Let's focus on this meeting first and hope that the Jeons would agree to help us," Seokjin said. They entered the elevator and pressed the button to the basement parking lot. "Our Jiminie's safety comes first."

Jaehyun nodded curtly. The attack on his mansion had created a huge uproar when the media outlets found out. There was still no word about who saved Jimin that day. But shooting down two enemy helicopters in broad daylight didn't go unnoticed. Whoever was behind this must be definitely stronger than Heesung. It didn't make sense why anyone would go against the crime lord like that.

The elevator opened with a ding and he stepped out, dabbing the sweat forming on his forehead with a handkerchief. The upcoming meeting with the Jeons kept him on edge. His wolf paced restlessly in his mind. Thanks to his scent blockers, no one would be able to tell his mood or sense the growing anxiety.

The Jeons were a force to reckon with. They weren't acquaintances. They met occasionally in business galas and greeted each other respectfully, but that was as for as their familiarity went. They were a dangerous bunch. He didn't know them personally, but everyone feared them and kept their distance. Rightfully so.

If Jaehyun had a choice, he wouldn't be in the same room as them either. But desperate times called for desperate measures. An asshole was after his precious gem and he would do anything in his power to keep him safe. He would swallow his pride to kneel in front of senior Jeon and beg if he had to.

"The Jeons live by a strict code of conduct," Seokjin said as he opened the door to their car. He climbed inside after him, rattled the address to his driver before lifting the divider that separated the driver's seat from the passenger seat. "They're a force, Uncle. But they never harm omegas and children. We know nothing about their private lives, but Mr. Jungwon is an honorable man from what I've heard. He always keeps his promises."

Jaehyun nodded shakily. "I don't know what to expect. I'm willing to pay any price as long as it isn't my son's hand in mating or something atrocious. I'm not bargaining with him."

"I know." Seokjin nodded. "Let's hope it doesn't come to that and they agree to something reasonable."

The silence that fell over them during the rest of the drive wasn't uncomfortable but filled with anticipation and his nerves were haywire. He had to grip his knee to stop his hands from trembling.

Jaehyun never felt so desperate and helpless in his entire life. His wolf was taking it hard that they were failing to protect their only son. With every passing second, the fear of not being able to keep his promise to his mate filled him.

When they arrived at the Jeon mansion, he was lost in his thoughts. He glanced at Seokjin on time to see him talking to the security guard, who waved them in. His heart lodged in his throat as their car slowly drove through the long winding road surrounded by trees.

His eyes widened as he took everything in. They were in a private property surrounded by fifteen-foot concrete walls.

"Wow," Seokjin said beside him. "The sources were right. They do live in a fucking forest. Excuse my language, Uncle." He lowered the glass and craned his head to get a better look. "I've heard the Jeons were still close to their wolf side."

As if to prove his words true, Jaehyun spotted three shifted wolves running parallel to their car before disappearing into the trees. His wolf yipped inside him, a sudden excitement spreading through him at the prospect of running that freely.

The modern world has evolved so much and they had adapted to the change. They no longer felt the need to shift and run wildly into the woods, but as he witnessed the wolves, he couldn't help the longing that filled his chest. It was in their nature. The wolves were supposed to live as one with nature.

He couldn't help wonder how the luxury of his mansion or apartment could never compare to the feeling of shifting and running free in the woods, feeling the wind beat on your face. At that moment, he felt envious of the Jeons.

The mansion came into view in fifteen minutes. His eyes widened when he saw the building that was even bigger than the Park mansion. When the car slipped into the driveway, a security guard immediately stepped forward to assist them.

Jaehyun climbed out, taking his surroundings in. His teams of bodyguards were already out and surrounded him. Taehyung exited from the car behind him before joining them.

"Welcome, Your Highness," a man dressed elegantly in a black suit addressed him.

Surprise flashed in Jaehyun's features. No one addressed him that anymore except for when he was attending the galas including the other royal families. He nodded his head in acknowledgment.

"Our master is expecting you. This way please." He turned around to lead the way. Jaehyun and Seokjin followed with their bodyguards in tow. The man led them into a huge living room where he stopped. "I'm afraid only His Highness Park and Mr. Kim are allowed past this point."

Jaehyun nodded again dismissing his bodyguards and schooling his features. They were really here. His pushed his sweaty palms inside his pockets to hide his nervousness and followed the man.

They walked through the long corridors, barely paying attention to the expensive portraits and antique artifacts that decorated the place. Their shoes clicked away on the marble and the man stopped when he reached the grand double door. He opened it and led them inside.

It looked like they have entered a den of sorts. He paused as several scents assaulted his scents. Unlike the other areas of the mansion that held neutral scents, this place smelled richly of multiple wolves.

"This is our Alpha's den," the man explained as if reading his line of thoughts. "He spends this time with his family and doesn't usually accept meeting requests. Please leave your shoes here," he directed.

Jaehyun nodded again, not really knowing what to do with this information. He removed the shoes, glancing at Seokjin and Taehyung who looked tongue-tied. The room opened into a spacious living room with a huge fireplace and a winding staircase. He stopped in the middle taking everything in.

Despite how big it was, it looked so warm and well lived in with warm tones. A carpet covered the marbled floor and the patterns were beautiful. It was soft under his socked feet. The furniture all looked so warm and inviting.

He wasn't supposed to be here at all. This was a family's personal space. Realization dawned on him.

A woman descended the stairs and he inclined his head in a greeting. Jeon Hyewa looked elegant even in her simple floral dress. Her hair was held up in a neat bun on top of her head, revealing her mating mark on her neck. Following her was Jungwon.

"Greetings, Mr. and Mrs. Jeon," he greeted. "Thank you for agreeing to meet me in such short notice." He glanced around. "I'm not sure if I should be here." He shifted from one foot to the other.

"Greetings to you too, Mr. Park," Jungwon greeted with a smile that made him look younger than his actual age. "I invited you here. Please take a seat and make yourself comfortable."

He wore a simple button down shirt, a few buttons opened at the top and Jaehyun noticed the mating mark there. Warmth rushed to his chest when he realized they were committed to each other.

Jeon men are committed to their omegas.

He didn't remember where he heard that or who told him that but he believed it now that he saw it with his eyes. He nodded at Seokjin and Taehyung before taking a seat at one of the couches.

"What would you like to drink?" Jungwon asked. "We have coffee, tea and soft drinks. Oh, I have excellent selection of wine and whiskey if it isn't too early for that." His smile was easy and for a moment Jaehyun didn't feel like he was in the presence of a man who had his legs deep in the crime world.

He cleared his throat. "Whiskey for me please," he said. "I think I'd need it to get through this."

Jungwoo nodded his head, looking at the others in question.

"Coffee for me please," Seokjin said.

"Green tea," Taehyung answered. "Thank you."

Jungwon glanced at the man that led them here and he immediately nodded before excusing himself. "Tell me, Mr. Park. I was surprised when I heard you wanted to meet me urgently. Is there something I can help you with?"

Jaehyun felt his heart race. He wiped his sweaty palms on his thighs and met his gaze. Determination tightened his features. "Yes, there actually is."

Jimin clung to Namjoon as if he was his lifeline as he shopped for his nesting supplies as fast as he could. Then there were things that couldn't be rushed such as this. He really had to spend some time and let his omega choose the things that they needed.

Their carts were overflowing and he chuckled as he saw the guard bring another empty cart to him.

"Take these full carts to the billing counter," Namjoon instructed. "Pay and load them into the car. We can't stay longer."

"Yes, sir," one of the bodyguards left with the full cart.

"Take whatever you need, Jiminie," he said to Jimin, his features softening considerably. "We should head to the snacks section next. I'm not sure if the hotel has everything to your liking."

Jimin smiled up at his cousin. "Thanks, hyung. I'll be done soon."

He grabbed more pillows and blankets, filling the cart as fast as he could. Though Namjoon wasn't hurrying him, he knew he couldn't linger. This should do. He picked up extra sheets so he could have something to change. Though he doubted he would be in a position to change and clean, just the thought of having additional set was comforting.

They headed to the hypermarket next. Jimin grabbed protein drinks and a few snack bars while Namjoon grabbed his favorite chocolates and ice cream. They paid and soon left.

"Is there anything else you need?" Namjoon asked, glancing at his watch. "We can spare a few more minutes."

Jimin shook his head. "I have everything I need, hyung. Let's head back." His wolf was restless inside him, the prickling sensation in the back of his neck urging him to get to his room and into their nest.

"Okay. Uncle asked your old nanny to come over to take care of your during your heat. Hope you're okay with that."

"That sounds good." Jimin did his best to hide his sadness and forced a smile. He didn't want a nanny. He wanted...he forcefully shut his thoughts.

Despite his protests, Namjoon bought him a KitKat milkshake with pieces of the delicious chocolate goodness and that somehow distracted the distressed omega. He nosed on Namjoon's arm inhaling his comforting patchouli scent and sighed. He couldn't wait to get back to the hotel room and build his nest.

They reached the parking lot unnoticed and was about to go to their car when he heard the first shot hitting somewhere closer. Jimin gasped, his shake falling down to the concrete floor, splattering all over just as Namjoon dragged him with a force that left his head reeling and dove behind a vehicle.

His heart beat out of his chest and it took everything inside him to control the tears that threatened to break free. The distressed whine he let out had Namjoon tightening his hold around him. Jimin's hands shook as he buried his nose to Namjoon's side, inhaling more of his Patchouli and seeking comfort.

The thing with Heesung was there was never a dull moment or lack of drama. He always came with guns blazing and Jimin often wondered if the bastard even cared for the mating as he claimed or if he was just looking forward to stroke his ego. He had no doubt he would be nothing but an object that bastard wanted to own.

Many who tried to court him were forefront with their expectation. The majority of them wanted him for his status and the fucking boost to their pride as the alpha that had the nation's most beautiful omega all to themselves. No one gave a fuck about his heart.

More shouts and gunshots echoed around them. Jimin was shaking and the omega let out a distressed whimper. It wanted to be in its nest, curled under the sheets. It clawed at his chest with soft whines.

Danger. Danger everywhere. Need alpha...

Jimin's eyes shifted back and forth between that of his human and wolf.

Chaos ensued as his guards shot back, but Jimin didn't know how successful they would be because he had seen firsthand how this all went down. The memory of the two attacks washed over him and he felt a heavy weight settling over his chest. He had force himself to breath as he tightened his hold on Namjoon.

"Fuck!" Namjoon cursed, grabbing his walkie-talkie. "This is Alpha one, where are you?"

"This is Beta one. Sir, we are surrounded. Please don't come out from wherever you are," the man rattled in an urgent tone. "We lost two men and they're advancing. Please get back inside the mall if possible."

Jimin shook his head as Namjoon glanced at the exit. They either had to take the elevator or the stairs, but both were exposed to attacks and they had a good twenty-foot distance. It was impossible to sneak in unnoticed.

"Shit," Namjoon cursed again and threw an arm around Jimin. "Hang in there, Jiminie. Hyung is gonna get you out of here no matter what," he assured.

Jimin nodded even though he didn't believe his words. Namjoon was only human. He could get hurt or worse die. He swallowed the lump in his throat as he hugged himself. His hands were trembling too much. All this stress had been adding up and he worried his heat might come soon at this rate.

"I won't be much help," he admitted weakly as Namjoon pulled his gun, holding it in a steady grip.

"That's fine. Hyung is here to protect you." Namjoon sneaked a glance. "Follow me," he whispered.

Jimin didn't know what he was trying to do but followed. They crawled on all fours, hiding behind the parked vehicles as Namjoon led him away from the chaos. However, their cover didn't last long as he saw a man appear out of nowhere, his gun loaded and aimed at Namjoon.

His cousin was faster. Namjoon shot him and from there it was a chase. He grabbed Jimin's grabbed, dragging him behind another parked car and pressing their backs to it. They dodged bullets aimed for them and Namjoon shot back whenever he got the opportunity.

Jimin tried his best to stay strong even as his wolf was breaking down in his mind slowly. The last thing Namjoon would want was a hysterical omega by his side. Jimin was usually stronger and was good in a combat or shooting. But today was one of his bad days where he was emotionally distressed and felt vulnerable. It didn't help the past trauma surfaced and added more to his distress.

Namjoon tried his best to keep the attackers away from them and led them to safety. The omega noticed that they were approaching another entrance that was in front of them. But to get there they would have to cross the exposed path between two rows of parked cars.

Men were engaged in gunfight when he heard the roar of several cars. From his position, he could see several vehicles enter the parking lot, all black, coming to a halt with a squeal of tires. Tall men clad in black jumped out of it while a few where already shooting from the opening through the car ceiling.

And just like that the fight intensified.

***

Namjoon didn't know if the new comers were good news or bad news until they started fighting his enemies. They shot ruthlessly with their machine guns and set the cars on fire.

Who are these people? Why are they helping us?

But he couldn't afford the luxury of waiting around to find out. This could be anyone and no matter what he couldn't allow them to get their hands on Jimin. The omega beside him shook like a leaf in storm and he knew if it weren't for his scent blockers his distressed pheromones would be everywhere.

He cursed under his breath and glanced at the entrance. With the new entrants keeping the others busy, they could sneak out if they were careful. His features tightened with determination. He would wait for the right moment and then they would run for their lives.

Their current position gave them a clear view of the ongoing fight.

"A-Alpha..." Jimin whispered suddenly.

"Huh?" Namjoon's head whipped up from where he was loading his gun in confusion.

Jimin never addressed him that way. He frowned. Omegas only addressed the pack alphas or their mate using their subgender. When he realized Jimin's gaze was glued somewhere else, he turned his attention to that direction. Several rounds of gunshots echoed around them.

In the midst of chaos, stood a man clad in black shirt and grey pants. He was tall, had broad frame tapered waist and thick thighs. The top three buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned, revealing his toned chest and the pants hugged his muscular thighs. His black hair was parted in the middle, his piercings caught light and glinted when he moved.

A dangerous aura surrounded him and his presence was so commandeering unlike any others here. The look of fury on his face and the way his sharp features contorted send a cold shiver down Namjoon's spine. A car rushed toward him at high speed and Namjoon almost yelled at him to back off.

However, the man just smirked, cocking his head at the car. The next thing he knew, he was shooting at the tires with the same smirk. The car was so close and Namjoon wanted to close his eyes.

"Alpha!" Jimin yelled from beside him, lunging forward.

Namjoon caught him, holding him back and gasped audibly when he saw what was going on. The alpha had jumped on the hood of the car that had lost its balance and was swerving. He ran to the top and jumped off to the side, landing effortlessly on his feet as the car toppled behind him.

"What the fuck!" Namjoon gasped. "He's crazy!"

"Alpha. My alpha." Jimin laughed, tears sliding down his cheeks. He wasn't trembling with distress anymore. What he saw in his face was relief. "That's my alpha."

"W-What?" Namjoon gaped. He must have heard that wrong. "Jimin? That's...I-I don't understand."

But there wasn't much time to talk. The enemies were coming for them. The alpha continued to fight. Another SUV came to a screeching halt in front of them. Someone threw the door open. Namjoon tensed pushing Jimin behind him and covering his body with his.

A brunette with a handsome face yelled, "Jimin-ah, get in!"

Jimin poked his head over Namjoon's broad shoulders. "Hoseok hyung?"

Namjoon glanced over his shoulder. "You know him?"

Jimin rushed out from behind him and grabbed his hand. "Yes. Come on. They're safe."

Namjoon looked skeptical but they had no choice when they were surrounded. Two gunshots rang louder, hitting the car behind him. He jumped inside following Jimin. The man shut the door and the car took off with squealing tires.

"Hyung! What are you doing here?" Jimin asked the moment the door shut behind them. He was panting as he straightened on the seat, reaching for the seatbelt.

"Protecting you," the alpha, who Jimin called Hoseok replied, his gaze behind them. "Hyung, they're tailing us. Two black Audi. Armed."

The man in the driver seat just hummed, his sharp eyes flicking to the rear view mirror. "Buckle up. The ride is about to get bumpy."

The car had two rows of seats in the back that was facing each other. The luxurious interiors astounded him. The seats had standard heating with ventilated leather and a built-in-massager. Namjoon strapped himself immediately and made sure Jimin was strapped as well.

Hoseok pushed a gun into their arms. "It's loaded," he said, watchful eyes still behind them. "Keep your heads low."

They obeyed, knowing the drill. Nothing made sense. Who were this people? How did Jimin know them?

"Hyung, I still don't understand," Jimin said, keeping his head low. He had slid down in the seat. "How do you know I'm in trouble? I didn't know you both knew how to fight."

"Who are they?" Namjoon asked at the same time.

"Jung Hoseok," the alpha introduced himself. "That's my boyfriend, Min Yoongi." His gaze flicked to Jimin. "We are with Jungkook," he continued as if it was supposed to make sense.

"J-Jungkook?" Jimin's eyes widened.

"Who is Jungkook?" Namjoon frowned.

Hoseok scoffed, glancing at Namjoon. "Jimin haven't told you yet?" His gaze snapped to Jimin.

"Jimin?" Namjoon's confusion only continued to grow. "What's going on? How do you know these people? Who is Jungkook? Is that the alpha we saw back there?"

Jimin looked guilty but he nodded. "Y-Yeah. T-That's my...alpha."

"Jimin..." Namjoon exhaled. "Your alpha? Come on. Tell me more. It's not the time for riddles." One bullet hit the rear side window and he flinched. But his mind was too occupied with Jimin to worry about that in the moment. Earlier Jimin had addressed that alpha as his alpha. That could only mean one thing. "Are you telling me that you're in a relationship all this time and we knew nothing about it?"

Jimin looked down at his lap while Hoseok scoffed again. "Relationship?" He quirked a brow at Namjoon while Jimin swallowed.

Namjoon expected the alpha to say more but Hoseok said nothing, instead looked behind them. A loud sound boomed through the tunnel like structure and the car tailing them lost its balance before hitting the wall with a force that sent debris flying. It then toppled just as another car ran into it. The sounds of the screeching metal were just too loud but they were already far from the scene.

"Clear!" Hoseok announced with a victorious grin.

The alpha in the driving seat, Yoongi just hummed in response.

Namjoon clutched Jimin's hand, ensuring he was okay. Then glanced at the other two alphas in the car, hiding the discomfort. "Jimin?" he called. "What are you not telling me?"

The omega looked uncomfortable and bit his lip before he exhaled. "I'm sorry," he said in a low voice. Then he fumbled with the scarf he always wore around his neck, untying it.

Namjoon gaped at the mating mark at the base of his neck. Crescent-shaped, beautiful and looked like it had been there for a long time. And it could mean only one thing.

He visibly froze. "Y-You're mated."

Jimin averted his gaze. "I'm sorry," he repeated. "I-I didn't mean to hide it this long."

"Oh, my God! Jimin, what the hell! Do you even realize how Uncle would react? All this time...how long?" he asked. The alpha grew livid. His cousin was mated and they didn't even have a clue. "How long since you mated?"

And who the fuck is Jungkook? Shit. This is bad.

"Four years," he whispered.

A growl rumbled out of his chest. "What the fuck!"

Jimin flinched. "It's not what you think," he rushed to say. "We didn't mean for it to happen the way it did. It's just..."

He grabbed Jimin's arm, concern filling his features. "He didn't force you, did he? Tell me right now, Jimin. Did the alpha force you?"

"What? No!" Jimin blinked. "Jungkook would never." His breathing grew heavy. "It's not what you think. It's just..." His cheeks reddened and he averted his face to the floor.

Namjoon didn't like the distress in his voice and his alpha growled at him. He was furious but didn't know where to direct all this anger to. So much was going on and Jimin's life was in the line.

Hoseok scoffed again, drawing his attention to him. "Jimin's heat triggered Jungkook's rut. The rest is history," he informed as if he was making it easier for Jimin who was red all over the face. "I heard it was your little prince over here marked the alpha first, too far gone in his heat. And the bit triggered his rut."

Oh, God!

Namjoon swallowed. He glanced at Jimin. "Is it true? You marked him first?"

He didn't know what to make of the situation—that his baby cousin was already mated or the information that he was sharing his heat with an unmated alpha for so many years. Well, not unmated anymore but he had an inkling that Jimin must have been seeing that alpha even before that.

"Yes." Jimin cleared his throat. He didn't meet his gaze. He glanced down at his lap, fiddling with his fingers. "He was courting me already and...we were ah...we were dating for two years. I asked him to help me with my heat because they were getting worse that I blacked out in my previous one. But then...things kinda got out of hand."

"Oh, God!" Namjoon ran a hand over his face. "Why did you hide it so long?"

Now he remembered it was also the same time Jimin began to hide his scent more and more. He always wore a scarf around his neck and no one questioned him. He also never met anyone without scent blockers unless necessary. Even then, they couldn't find anything a miss because they didn't smell anything apart from Jimin's own scent mixed with that of rosewood and cardamom.

"Wait! I thought you went to the heat facility though we were fully capable of taking care of you in the mansion. But..."

Jimin looked away, his face the color of a tomato. "Jungkook always picked me from there and dropped me back as soon as my heat was over."

"Wow!" He couldn't believe Jimin was mated all this long. He slumped in his seat. "So your mate was the one who was protecting you all this time."

Jimin nodded. "I didn't know it was him until the last time." He cleared his throat. "When our mansion was attacked..." he drawled. "The hotel belongs to his family."

Something clicked in Namjoon's mind just as their car came to a sudden halt. The door opened and someone jumped inside.

A wave of rich rosewood, cardamom with a hint of spice whipped at his face. Jimin let out a strangled whimper beside him and the next thing he knew the omega was flying to the alpha, crashing into his chest with a loud sob.

Namjoon sat frozen as the scent confirmed everything he should know. It was the same scent as the essential oils Jimin used in his oil diffuser, the one he constantly kept in his room. He never went out without it. Years ago, when Jimin started using it no one thought about it twice.

Now it made sense why they never found out Jimin was mated all along. The clever omega had hid it so well and fooled everyone. He sat speechless as he saw the alpha embrace his cousin, cradling him against his chest as the omega nuzzled into his neck.

Hoseok moved to his seat, occupying the seat Jimin sat earlier to give the couple some space. "Shocking, huh?" He chuckled. "Brace yourself, bro. There's more."

"Huh?" Namjoon could only blink as he was already dumbfounded with everything that was happening.

Jimin continued to whimper and let out soft whines clawing at the alpha's chest until the alpha opened his jaw, biting down his mating mark and applying gentle pressure. Namjoon swallowed the lump forming in his throat as he saw Jimin going lax in the alpha's arm.

The moment was so intimate and private, something that was shared only between a mated pair and in private. It was how an alpha would calm down his distressed mate. He should remove his gaze but his body was paralyzed and it refused to obey. The alpha released the omega's neck, kissing the spot a few times before pulling back to cup Jimin's face with a large, tattooed hand.

"You're safe now. Sleep, Omega."

Namjoon shivered when the alpha command washed over him. It didn't affect him but he could see the effect it had on Jimin. He stopped trembling, his breathing easing little by little until it grew even.

"Alpha will be with you when you wake up." The stranger now he knew as Jungkook kissed his forehead. "Sleep, my love. Your alpha is here now."

He saw Jimin nod subtly before his eyes fluttered shut. His head lolled to the side and Jungkook adjusted him in his lap, holding him tighter. He pushed the strands of hair away from Jimin's face and Namjoon's heart constricted upon seeing the fondness in his eyes. They were in love.

Oh, God! Why is everything so complicated? What am I going to tell uncle now?

Namjoon stared even as the alpha glanced up and offered a smile. "Hello, we haven't met yet. I'm Jungkook—Jimin's alpha," the man introduced himself.

Namjoon nodded jerkily. He knew that now. Their car was already easing into traffic, which he now realized and was weaving through the vehicles ahead of them at break neck speed.

"Who are you?" he asked, masking his distress. This alpha was still a stranger, but he was also someone with money and power to pull something like this. He needed to know. He raked his brain and came up with nothing.

The man smiled, glancing down at Jimin's face. "Ah, I should have told you my full name. It's Jeon Jungkook," he said.

"J-Jeon?"

The man's smile widened. "The one and only."
