OVERALL AWARD

Best Overall Fanfiction [8/15] → The "Best Overall Fanfiction" award recognizes the ULTIMATE fanfiction masterpiece, judged on the basis of the longest and strictest grading rubric. This category awards fanfiction that excels in writing, plot, and characterization. It is inclusive of all subgenres of K-POP fanfiction (romance, horror-thriller, etc.)

TROPES and SUBGENRES

Best of Romance [4/12] → The "Best of Romance" award goes to authors whose fanfiction submissions contain swoonworthy love stories.  Winners of this award will have excelled in chemistry and the emotional complexities within romance. I want to believe in love after reading your submissions.

Best of Angst [7/10] → The "Best of Angst" award celebrates fanfiction that most effectively explores emotional pain, tragedy, and/or heartbreak. This award will not go to the 'saddest' story (necessarily), but the story that explores angst thematics most effectively.

Best of Fluff [4/10] → The "Best of Fluff" award recognizes fanfiction that radiates pure joy with its tooth-rotting sweetness throughout. Similarly to "Best of Angst",  it is not awarded to the fanfiction piece with the 'most fluff', but the piece that employs fluffy themes the best.

Best of Hurt/Comfort [3/10] → The "Best of Hurt/Comfort" award is contingent on the balance between pain and healing. It celebrates stories that focus a great deal on mending the scars that wound their characters so deeply. 

Best of Darkfic [2/7] → The "Best of Darkfic" award recognizes stories that explore grim, psychological, or morally grey themes in a well-written manner. If the 7 spots fill up quickly, I am willing to increase the cap to 10.

Best of Horror [1/7] → The "Best of Horror" award celebrates fanfiction with spine-chilling suspence, eerie supernatural elements, and/or psychological horror. If the 7 spots fill up quickly, I am willing to increase the cap to 10.

Best of Fantasy [/7] → The "Best of Fantasy" award is granted to the fanfiction that most effectively incorporates woldbuilding and fantastical elements (magic, advanced technology, alternate universe(s), etc.) If the 7 spots fill up quickly, I am willing to increase the cap to 10.

Best of Smutfic [1/5] →  The "Best of Smutfic" award recognizes fanfiction where sex is a consistent occurence because it is an important theme. Fanfiction in this category must still have plot, as the 'quality' of the sex is not the sole gradine factor. I am willing to increase the cap to 7 if the spots fill quickly.

MINI CATEGORIES

Best Cover [1/20] → The "Best Cover" award will go to the most visually appealing book covers. You must be the creator of the cover you submit. Entries from cover shops or cover commissions are not allowed.

Best Concept [/12] → The "Best Concept" category celebrates the most creative and intriguing fanfiction idea. Winners are decided based on the blurb and a casual reading of the story itself.

Best Blurb [/20] → The "Best Blurb" award recognizes the most effective and well-written fanfiction summary. A great blub teases the story's premise without giving too much away. It is a story's second advertisement after the cover, and should pull readers in.

Best Graphics [/20] → The "Best Graphics" award honors chapter-by-chapter graphics (moodboards, banners, etc.) that authors use to maintain visual appeal. You must be the creator of the graphics you submit.
