Welcome to the ALLURE Awards show, hosted by yours truly, lialure.

ALLURE celebrates K-POP fanfiction that hooks readers with compelling storytelling. It recognizes the incredible talent within the fan community—from seasoned writers to beginners sharing newborn ideas within the world of real-people fiction (RPS).

This isn't just about having perfect grammar. It's not about having the most divine prose ever written in the history of mankind. The ULTIMATE GOAL of this show is to encourage authors to create stories that leave lasting impressions, and to reward the ones who succeed at doing so. ALLURE hones in on the art of storytelling and the imagination behind each word.

#1. I am not only the host of this show, but I am the only judge.

Years of being in the K-POP fanficiton and awards space has shown that there is no true way to standardize grading critera among judges. For that reason, to ensure results are fair across the categories, I will be judging every category by myself. Please be patient as you await results!

#2. I will not accept entries that aren't K-POP fanfiction.

Truth to be told, I have very little experience with critiquing fiction stories. Fanfiction writing and fiction writing overlap in the processes, but there are some more creative liberties you can get away with when writing fanfiction that is not acceptable when writing fiction.

Although I am not exclusively in the K-POP fanfiction space, there are many fandoms outside of the K-POP space that I am unfamiliar with. To ensure that my reviews and grading criteria are fair, I'd like to keep it in the realm of what I am used to.

#3. I am not the Grammar Police.

I'm not 100% confident in my knowledge of English grammar and its complexities. There will be a very small grading category for grammar that is more focused on readability over anything. If you're looking for Grammarly in your review, it probably won't come out of this awards show (unless it is really egregious).

#1: FOLLOW HOST (lialure) → Communication for this awards show will mainly be via my message board! For this reason, it is absolutely necessary that you remain followed on your main account. This is not a permanent follow, and you can feel free to unfollow once the awards show is over! (Since I will be giving in-depth reviews, following me post-show would be appreciated, but is not mandatory.)

#2: SUBMIT YOUR OWN WORK → You may not submit a story on behalf of another writer, and you may not submit plagiarized content (including AI-generated plagiarism). My expectation is that the work submitted via your form is your own.

#3: REGARDING CHANGES...  → You may not change the title, cover, or blurb of you story once you submit it to the show. If you do, you won't be disqualified, but you will be graded on whatever I see at time of review. I will not re-grade because you made edits.

#4: KEEP YOUR USERNAME → You absolutely cannot change your username until the end of the awards show. I will not go hunting for your new username or your new book title. If I cannot locate your entry due to changes in username and/or book title, I will not review your entry.

#5: STORY ELIGIBILITY → At time of entry, your story must have a minimum of 5 chapters (excluding Prologue, Author's Note, etc.) Oneshots are excluded from this rule. There are no thematic, content, or trigger restrictions.

#6: MESSAGE BOARD SHOUT-OUT → Give this awards a boost by shouting it out on your message board! Make sure you tag me (lialure) so I can see it!

#7: LIMITATIONS → You are permitted to submit a maximum of 2 different stories in the same category, but 4 different stories among different categories. You are only allowed to submit 4 stories maximum.

#8: BACKING OUT → You cannot pull your story from the awards after submitting a form and being accepted.

Each rule is its own category in the final grading. If you do not follow the rules, you will lose points for your overall review. If your rulebreaks are egregious, your story may face disqualification.

#1: AI-GENERATION → Stories that use AI-generation to write prose and plot are generally easy to spot. Right now, AI is incapable of effective storytelling without author interference. For this reason, I implore you all to not submit AI-generated writing.

#2: STORY ELIGIBILITY → You can submit a story even if I have read it already. When reading, it's mainly for entertainment and is not judged on a technical scale. I've read a lot of works from friends of mine, and would still love for them to compete if they so choose! :)

#3: SUBMITTING SERIES → If you submit a story that is not the first of its series, your review will reflect that. I will not go and read the first, second, third, etc. installments of your series simply because you submitted the fourth into this competition.
