Prologue: The beginning of a new era

Date: August 6th, 1945

Location: Mount Sagiri

The scene opens to an early morning sky with the sun just coming up signaling to the people below that a new day was starting. It then shifts down to an older man wearing a blue kimono with white clouds and lines of wind blowing the clouds around and a young teenager wearing a green and black checkered kimono with very interesting earrings.

(Like this...)

The two deep in the forested areas out of sight from the general public as the older man was teaching the young boy total concentration breathing. This was a technique that must be mastered in order to use water breathing forms. You see the young boy was training to become a demon slayer in order to avenge his family that was slaughtered by a demon that attacked them leaving only his younger sister alive, although she was turned into a demon in the process. This motivated the boy to find a way to turn his sister back to a human and avenge his family in the process of doing so.

However, the young boy was finding it difficult to try and master total concentration breathing as he was hit in the stomach if he got the form wrong by his instructor. But the boy was determined not to give up as he was doing this for his younger sister who he swore to turn back into a human.

"*Gah!!*" The boy groaned as he was hit in the stomach again for getting the form wrong.

"Wrong!" The old instructor said. "Try again."

The boy slowly stood back up onto his feet to try and get the correct form for total concentration breathing. But as he was about to take form once again there was a bright flash of light in the distance catching the attention of the young boy. At first, he thought it was just his eyes playing tricks on him until the older instructor turned to the source of the flash also. Then a giant mushroom cloud rose into the sky with a giant plume of smoke following it shortly after. Then a giant *BOOM* was heard by the two as they felt the noise of the explosion that took place a great distance away from them.

"W-what...was..that?" The young boy asked looking at the explosion in the distance.

The instructor stayed quite as he had never seen such a sight of destructive power in his life.

"I... I'm not sure." The instructor replied.

"There's a city over in that direction." The young boy said.

"Hiroshima." The instructor said.

"Oh no... all those people." The kid said.

"I never knew the war would come to something like this." The instructor said. "Let us hope the government higher ups look at this attack and make a smart decision."

"You really think after that they'll just surrender?" The boy asked.

"It's either that or we face total annihilation by the Americans." The instructor said. "We will just have to wait and see if that can come to that decision."

The instructor's words were almost true as he said them as a couple days later another bomb took out Nagasaki killing over 50,000 people. It was evident to the people of Japan that the US had the capability of wiping out entire cities with just one bomb. On the 15th of August the emperor made the announcement on the radio to the Japanese that Japan was surrendering to the allies. Some of the people were shocked about this while others were just relieved to hear the long and bloody war that had started years earlier was now over. Word spread throughout the whole country about the war being reached anyone would didn't have a radio at the time.

Then on September 2nd, 1945, Japan's Minister for Foreign Affairs signed the Japanese instrument of surrender on board the battleship USS Missouri, officially ending World War 2. Many allied military personnel were glad that the war was finally over and were excited to finally be going home to their families. But to those who were tasked of occupying the country of Japan they would have to wait a bit longer before they could go back home.

But little did any of them know that Japan has had another war going on in the dark, a war that very few people speak about. What the allied occupying force didn't know was the war going on between humans and demons. But they will soon find out that it's not Japanese resistance soldiers they have to worry about, but rather the demons that stalk in the night.
