Prologue:The Beginning
A magnificent King strode around his throne room, his majestic crown glinting from the light, of which was emitted through the stained-glass windows. He clutched his emerald-encrusted sword beside him and called his court. Something was wrong. The ground was rumbling.
"My lord,"a servant bowed deeply."Your court has been called."
The King turned, his black eyes hard, and nodded to the quivering servant, who muttered a series of apologies. The King made his way through his stone castle, delicate masonry. Nothing could be out of place in his realm. Everyone knew of the Psyranelle armies. Nothing compared to the Fluxia, for they had magic on their side, but still valiant. Clad in iron, stained with blood, the King's army shall march on.
"King of Psyranelle,"a particularly fat duke spoke."We have received word of movement in the north, how shall we act?"
The King merely sat down slowly, then gave a piercing look at the duke, who shuffled uncomfortably. To the King, his court seemed like a preying board.
"We will await conformation. For now, prepare the armies and recruit who's needed. After our war with Elipsia, we need many more warriors."The King's eyes shifted to the court, scanning like a hawk."And if they bear those banners, obliterate them."
"Yes sir."The court chanted, as they departed the king requested to see the former servant.
The family never saw the servant again.

Usually, the King expected news. But the news he was given, truly shocked him.
"My dear,"the King's wife, Queen Lallac, announced."I am with your child."
The King stared, a little speechless. But he would never let that show."I am sure we can persuade the priest to give our child a blessing."His voice was like smooth ice.
"I am too, sure he will dear."the Queen beamed and returned to her chambers.
"Send for the best medics in the lands, and ensure the birth of our child."the King commanded to the nearest person, who nodded and rushed out.
So like all Kings, he wished for an heir, a strong man. With his own green eyes and his mother's blonde. A healthy, strong fighter and an intelligent scholar. A fine man that could court a beautiful princess. Someone who would claim the throne and satisfy the King's standards. So the King would wait.

Around a year later, no war activities had occurred and Queen Lallac carried a baby in her arms, the King wasn't smiling, but his expression wasn't his usual scowl. The Queen cooed as the medic announced the baby a boy and the King wanted to shout in joy, but his childishness must be contained. That was what his pitch black pendant was for. Tufts of blonde seemed to erupt from the baby's head and he had the same piercing green eyes. Just what the King has wanted.
"What shall we name him?"Asked Queen Lallac.
"How about the great Lucifer? Or Michael?"
Lallac shook her head."This child will not be holy. We must think of a suitable name. How about Lal..."
"Lal?"
"Lal... Na? Lalna? Yes, Lal for Lallac! We shall call our child Lalna."
"Lalna it is then. He shall one day be King Lalna of Psyrenelle."
"King Lalna, I like the sound of that."The Queen said as the King nodded.

Lalna grew up to be tall, well-read and beautiful. He had shimmering blonde hair, crocodile green eyes and loved wearing his lab coat. Lalna kept to himself in his own room, and occasionally let his mother in. On one particular meeting, Queen Lallac entered to find an empty room, and a secret bookcase door ajar. She tread carefully down a few steps and found a door, which she creaked open to find Lalna...
"Ah!! Mother! You scared me!"Lalna sighed as he remembered."Oh."
Lalna had built himself a lab. A lab that held gadgets that would go one thousands of years from then, Lalna was not only well-read, but a genius. A 17 year-old genius. Marble and Quartz held the walls and floor firm as the castle loses its delicate masonry feel. Vats, levers and microscopes are almost littered everywhere and Lallac breathed.
"This could be a revolution! This is a huge step for science... We would win every war with your inventions!"
Lalna shook his head."No. I will not prototype any war material. This is not for my leisure. It is for the future of our kind."
"This is amazing, Lalna, but we need to talk briefly."The Queen beckoned Lalna to sit in one of the two chairs positioned by the fire.
"Many years ago, your father and I destroyed a planet called Elipsia. He burned every last one of them. Or so we thought. We had one survivor, he keeps banging on the gates and seeking revenge."
"Oh. What do you need me to do?"
"I need you to talk to him, make friends with him. So you can finally learn to kill, or have a second in command. You need to befriend the Elipsian."
Lalna just nodded."Do you know the name of the Elipsian?"
The wrinkles around Lallac's eyes deepened."I believe that his name was Xephos, a man of space."
"Xephos."Lalna said."I think I might know that person."
"No you don't. Just befriend him."
"Okay, mother."

The fires. The fires are all that Xephos remembers. The fires that killed his family. The fires that destroyed his planet. The fires that destroyed his peace. Xephos growled as anger overtook him again. He must destroy Psyranelle. It was programmed into him, after all.
