Chapter Five

I have to rewrite this chapter because my computer messed up and didn't save it! I am so mad, because I had 1,200 words on it, and now it's gone! This is going to be my last chapter for the day, because I am going somewhere where there is no internet. Anyways, most of the beginning part of the story will be in Tobias's point of view, because he has Allaya, and she's the main character. Time for Tris' P.O.V. though!
Tris P.O.V.
My back is sore, like always, because of the hard mattress that was given to me to sleep on. Every waking moment I think about Tobias. I wonder if he got my note. I knew they would take Allaya away from me, and knew giving her to Tobias was the best option possible. They wouldn't kill her because I might have passed my genes down to her. They also wouldn't keep her, because it would be too much effort. Putting her up for adoption would mean they wouldn't have control over her, and couldn't watch her constantly. Leaving her with Tobias was the only other option.
It's been several hours since the last time they tested me, so they should be back any moment. Every day they bring me to a room full of equipment and put me under s-
The door opens and people walk in. My eyes are closed, and I keep them that way so that they might think I'm asleep, and leave me alone.
"You can either get up and walk yourself, or we can drag you... your choice." The voice belongs to the same person that gets me every time. I don't know his name or what he looks like, because they don't give me any information here.
I sigh and push myself up into a sitting position, and slowly stand up. I'm weak, and it hurts to move around a lot. I limp over to the door, the soldiers surrounding me, guns pointed at me, as if I would run at any moment. I am not going to disagree with them. I know they won't kill me, but they wouldn't think twice about hurting me. I already have enough bruises from fighting against them.
They lead me down the long, plain hall with dozens of doors alongside it. I only know where two of them lead to: My 'room' and the room that they test me in. It hurts to even think of what they do to me. Everyday, they put me under simulations. Simulations that bring out all of my fears, or that torture me until I tell the truth.
However, they haven't found a simulation that I can't withstand. My divergence is too strong for them, and they know it.
We walk through the hallway and into the familiar testing room. Men and women stand in uniforms, some doing work, others just standing there, waiting.
"Sit down, Beatrice." The same man who's been running the experiments on me, Jacob "Today we're going to scan your brain to see if there are any changes since the last time." He says, while doing something on the computer.
"Why even bother telling me?" I ask. He never gives me any information that he doesn't have too.
"Just thought you would like to know?" He says with a grin across his face. I know that he likes being in control, that he likes to be the boss of everyone, that he decides my fate.
"What makes you think you're going to get those scans?" I ask, a grin across my face.
"You did the same thing with Jeanine." He says, without looking up from the computer.
I'm about to ask how he knows, when I realize that he had access to the cameras.
"Tell me where my daughter is, and I will cooperate with you." I say.
I see him think it through his head. He knows that the information will do no good to me, but it does. "We gave her to Tobias." He says it plainly. Relief floods through me. Tobias got my note, he knows I'm alive. Tobias will find me, there is hope.
"Why did you give her to Tobias?" I ask. I have to pretend I didn't see that coming, just in case they get suspicious of my knowledge.
"I answered your question, now you will cooperate with me." Jacob says. He is trying to hide it, but I can see the anger boiling inside of him.
"Yeah, but I'm stubborn. I still have the upper hand here. You tell me why I'm here, and the reason behind it. Then, I will cooperate with you. I give you my word." I say. Jacob's face grows red with anger, but he knows he doesn't have a choice, just like Jeanine.
"I work with the Genetically Damaged, the ones that believe the Genetically Pure should pay for what they've done to them. We saved you from David, but brought you here. Since you're the only truly pure divergent, if we create a serum that you can't resist, then nobody can resist it. We can take down the GP's and make them pay for what they've done to us. However, since you were pregnant, we had to wait in order to use most of the simulations, but now that your child is gone, we can use anything. So be prepared for something new." David grins.
It all makes sense now, the GD's are still mad at the GP's for destroying their lives. Of course they would want the GP's gone. The thing, though, that makes me scared is that last sentence. 'So be prepared for something new.' That most likely means that this will hurt more.
I don't know what to expect, or what to think. I just do what they tell me to.

Please answer the following questions:
1.) Why do you think Jacob told Tris everything?
2.) Will Jacob discover a serum that even Tris can't resist?
3.) How far do you think Jacob is willing to go to take down the GP's?
4.) What do you think will happen?
Thank-you for reading, and if you answered the questions, thank-you!
My goal is to get 100 reads, 50 votes, and 20 comments by the end of April. Please vote and comment, it means a lot, THANK-YOU!
