Special Chapter 1

My eyes slowly opened when I felt someone hugging me tightly. I looked at my side and I smiled when I saw my beautiful wife sleeping soundly next to me. I fixed her messy hair and caressed her cheeks gently. I breathe deeply because of euphoria. This was just a dream to me. She was my dream. Waking up every morning with her lying beside me, living my life with her by my side, and going home with her waiting for me was just my wildest dream.

But now, I'm living it. And I'm so grateful.

I kissed her forehead and hugged her. "I love you, my wife. Thank God you are mine."

I do not know how long I stared at her sleeping face. She's just... perfect. Her gentle face, her alluring lips, her high pointed nose, every single part of her face is perfect. And when she opened her eyes. Ah. Is there something even higher than the word perfect? Her golden innocent eyes stared at me, and her lips slowly formed a beautiful smile. Damn.

"Good morning, my love." My lips parted when I heard her morning voice. I closed my eyes and buried my face on my pillow. It's too early to feel like this, and it's all this pretty witch's fault.

And when I heard her gentle and sweet laugh, I lost it. "Wife, why are you seducing me like this?" I whined, but she just held my nape, brought my face closer to her, and gave me a light feathery kiss. She then hugged me so tight. I shivered when I felt her pointed nose tracing my neck.

"You smell so good, Blaz."

I groaned. "Nate, you are not helping me." She just chuckled before letting go of our embrace. I thought she's done but hell she's really an expert in torturing me.

"Kiss me, love." She pouted. Damn those seductive lips. I was about to give in when a sudden intruder entered our room.

"Papa, kiss." My baby boy ran towards us and jumped on our bed. He looks like he just woken up because of his cute morning face. I welcomed him with an embrace and gave him a forehead kiss. My son giggled and I couldn't help but hug him dahil sa panggigigil.

I glanced at my wife, and I laughed when I saw her glaring at us. "You are stealing my husband from me little kid," she narrowed her eyes on Blake, but my son just laughed at her mom. Me on the other hand, blushed because of her sudden jealousy. Damn. Cute.

"Ako na lang kiss sa'yo, Mama." My son pouted and kissed her mom on the lips. "I love you, Mom," he embraced her Nate and clanged on her.

"I love you more, baby." She showered our son lots of feathery kisses. I hissed. Bakit akin isa lang? She then got out of bed and walked outside our room while carrying Blake. "What do you want for breakfast, baby? Mom will cook for you." My jaw dropped. Kinalimutan na niya ako? I don't know if Blake was really stealing me from my wife, because from what I'm seeing, it's her being stolen to me by my little clingy son.

I shake my head before going out of bed with a little smile on my face. I went to the room across ours to check my other babies. My smile widened when I saw the heart-warming scenery I'm seeing right now. My daughter is hugging her twin brother, and her legs is over her sister's tummy.

I chuckled while walking towards them. I fixed their sleeping position, careful not to wake them up but I was startled when I heard the loud tiny voice of Blake coming towards us. Nagising na rin tuloy ang mga kapatid niya.

"My twins! Wake up! Mama's preparing breakfast!" He jumped on their bed and shook his twin's body. "Gising na kayo. Hey. Wake up. Blaze, Blaire, Blainee."

I can't help but pinch my son's cheeks. "Kulitt."

"Aww. Papa," he whined.

"You are so loud, Nathaniel." I glanced at Blaire who just woke up and I stifled a smile when I saw her irritated face. Blake gasped. He looked at me and Blaire repeatedly. Napabangon na rin si Blaze habang humihikab pa. Mas napasinghap naman ang anak ko habang nakatingin na rin kay Blaze. Palipat-lipat ang tingin niya sa aming tatlo ng mga kapatid niya.

"You look so alike, Papa," he said, amazed. His eyes are sparkling while looking at us three. I chuckled because of his cute reaction. Mariin kong hinalikan ang tuktok ng ulo niya dahil sa labis na panggigigil. He looks like it's his first time seeing our faces, when he's seeing it every day in fact.

"I want to look like you, too, Pa," he pouted.

"Ah-uh," Blaine said. I didn't saw that my baby girl woke up already. "I beg to disagree, kuya ko. You should be grateful because you look like Mom, just like me." She put both her hands on her cheeks and blinked repeatedly. "Aren't I pretty?"

"Hmm, you are pretty my twin, just like Mama," Blake kissed Blaine's forehead.

"I know right." She giggled.

I closed my eyes to restrain myself from pinching my children's cheeks. Why the hell are they acting so cute like that? Goodness. They're just like their mother. They will be the death of me.

Cause of death? Cuteness overload.

"Let's go down na, babies. Mom's waiting for us downstairs," I said, and they agreed. I was about to carry Blaire, but she stopped me.

"Dad, I'm not I baby anymore," she said that pained my heart. Why are they growing up so fast? Damn time.

"Me! I'm still a baby, Daddy. Carry me! Carry me!" Blaine jumped in front of me. I laughed at her actions and carried her before kissing her cheeks earning a giggle from her.

Nauna nang tumakbo pababa si Blake. He's that excited, huh? Hawak ko sa isang kamay si Blaze, samantalang si Blaire ay sumusunod na lang sa amin. My baby doesn't want to be babied anymore. But she's still my baby. She's just 8 years old for god's sake!

When we reached the kitchen ay agad na sumigaw si Blaine. I smiled because of the delicious aroma coming from the dish my wife is cooking. "Good morning pretty mommy!" Ibinababa ko siya at agad naman siyang tumakbo papalapit sa asawa ko. Nate looked back and smiled when she saw our baby running towards her. She bent down and welcomed her with kisses. "Good morning pretty daughter!"

"Momm." Blaze called. He walked towards Nate and clings at her.

"Good morning baby Blaz. Hmp. Ang gwapo gwapo talaga ng baby ko." She messed with our son's hair earning a groan from him. While me? I am fvcking sure that my ears are red already. I know it's not me, but fvck. Why is he calling our son baby Blaz? Like I feel like it's me she's calling!

"Mom, stop calling me Dad's name. It's weird," he whined but my wife just laughed at him.

"Where's my other baby, hmm?" She looked around and when her gaze landed on me, she just ignored me and smiled at Blaire.

"Wife! I'm also you baby, right?" I whined but she didn't even look at me.

"How's your sleep, baby?" she asked Blaire.

"It's bad. Blaine's kicking me every time," she frowned.

"Do you want to have a separate room, love?" Nate asked softly. Blaire look at her pouting sister and breathe deeply. She then slowly shook her head as if she's not liking the idea being separated from her twins. "Okay then. Love, don't kick ate when sleeping next time, okay?"

"Yes, Mom," Blaine pouted. "I'm sorry, sister."

"Good," Nate patted their heads. "Now, go to the dining area and prepare the plates. Help Kuya Blake, hmm? Malapit nang maluto ang food natin." The kids nodded at ran towards the dining area.

When the kids are gone, she turned her back and continued cooking. I sighed and silently went towards her. I then hugged her back and put my chin on her shoulder. "Nate," I called.

"Hmm?"

"You love me, right?" I asked.

"Maybe." She smiled and I groaned.

"Anong maybe? You love me, okay? You love me," I said, irritated. But she just laughed at me! This naughty wife.

"Desisyon ka?"

"I love you, Nate," I whispered.

"Thank you, Blaz." She's making fun of me! I hate it! I pinched her waist because of irritation.

"You are hurting me, Amara." I make my voice sad. I just want her lambing, and now she's teasing me!

"Why? I'm being grateful that you love me."

"You are supposed to say I love you too!" angal ko. She laughed because of what I said. She turned off the stove before facing me.

"Thank you because you love me. Thank you for giving me this family, Blaz. I will forever be grateful to you, for that. You don't know how happy you make me feel," she said sincerely while staring at me with her gorgeous golden eyes. "I love you." She tiptoed and gave me a peck.

My cheeks started burning. I groaned and hugged her tightly. "Kinikilig ako, tang ina." She just laughed at my reaction and messed with my hair.

"Let's go na. Our kids are waiting." She let go of me and brought the food she cooked in the dining leaving me still in awe with what she said.

I can't believe I'm living this perfect life with her. I wish this never ends.

However, it did.

I woke up with my head aching. Maybe because of the alcohol I drank yesterday. "Fvck hangover," I cursed. I was about to get out of bed when I stopped. I suddenly remembered that dream. I was... with my family.

We were happy.

I cussed once again when I felt my tears streaming down like fvcking waterfalls. Putang ina sana hindi na lang ako nagising. I screamed. I screamed all my pain, guilt, agony, anger, and loneliness.

"Nate. Nate. Come back to me. I'm begging. Please. I need you." I cried. "Why is the world so fvcking unfair to me?!"

I heard someone entering my room. I looked at that person with my bloodshot eyes and I just started crying harder when I saw my mom with teary eyes. As if she's pitying me. Am I that pitiful? I laughed bitterly. I guess I am.

She went towards me and embraced me.

"Mom, am I a bad person?" I asked and she shook her head. "Then why? Why did they take my wife away from me? She's all I have, Mom. But I... I killed her. Putang ina. I killed her with my child. I should just have died with them. You should have killed me along side with my wife, Mom. Hindi ko kayang wala siya," I sobbed like a child to my mother.

"It's been eight years, Blaz. You have to accept that she is long gone. You need to live. She won't be happy seeing you miserable like this," my mom said. I stopped and looked at her hopefully.

"If she saw me miserable, will she come back to me?" I asked. "Then I should continue being like this. I won't mind living a miserable life if that means she'll come back."

My mom covered her mouth while crying. She's shaking. "Just wait, and don't stop hoping. Maybe someday. Someday she'll come back to you." She wiped my tears. Her eyes flickered with gold for a second, or is it just my imagination?

"Now sleep, my love. You need to rest," she said. She was about to leave when I held her hand.

"Don't leave me here. Stay please." I asked my mother. She smiled. It looks familiar.

She kissed my forehead. "I'll come back, Blaz. I promise," I heard her said before darkness consumed my sight.
