Up to the next chapter of life

"It's all your fault,you came late for the make up"Halima said very annoyed at Firdaus and Amira
They have been making up for hours they forgot graduation

"I can't believe we are late!"Firdaus cried looking at her wrist watch

"To our graduation,how funny!"Amira said ironically
Turning to look at us from the front

"I am saying nothing,how I wished I left the three of you"i said sadly
I mean they did all the making up
I only put powder and a lipstick then kajal
But they did all the contouring
Concealing and the rest

"Oh nobody will tell us anything,your mother in law is our principal"Halima teased wiggling her brows

"Yet"i said trying not to smile since i was faking anger

"Sooner or later,Numan can't wait forever"Halima sang

"That rhymes!"Firdaus exclaimed and I sat in middle while they reached out to high five infront of my face

"Really proud of you"Amira called from the front seat

The moment the car stopped infront of the conference hall
We all got down,I walked comfortable in my sneakers while Halima,Firdaus and Amira kept complaining about their heels

We reached the hall
Aunty Ummulkhayri gave us thumbs up
While our vice principal,Mr Sadiq glared at us as we sat in our respective places.

At the end of the speeches,

"As salam alaikum everyone,there is a change.the head girl will be late due to personal reasons so we will call Nailah Bashir Amin in her place before we start presenting the gifts"the host called with a grin

My classmates cheered and felt nervous suddenly

"Go!"My friends urged

I walked on the stage gently before collecting the loud speaker
I cleared my throat nervously

"As salam alaikum everyone,I am going to miss school you know.
Well growing up is very weird
I mean everyone has always been there for me
Mr Amir you are my favourite teacher you know
And mr Tyler, my favourite non academic staff
Ah science student for life!
And Mrs Ummulkhayri you are truly the mother of goodness
As you all know this is an impromptu speech
To everyone present here,don't give up in life keep fighting till your last breath
I wish my mates all the very best in the next chapter we are all entering.thank you"i said trying to holding in my nervousness
I watched everyone i have spoken about looking at me with a proud smile

"Go Nailah!"Halima cheered louder than everyone

And shook my head at how ridiculous Halima is sometimes

We were all called to the back of the hall to snap the epic pic of throwing caps in the air

"To a better future!"Naim said loudly with his broad voice

"In sha Allah!" we all shouted

And we happily threw our caps in the air before we went back in search of our family

We spotted them holding four gifts

Yeah I got best in English and chemistry while Halima got best in mathematics and physics
My girl wants to study engineering

We exchanged pleasantries with my brothers and i hugged them forgeting my anger

Then snapped with them
Snapped with my second family
And then Halima,my sister

I was suppose to go home for a while when I was about to enter the car they came with, I heard someone call my name and voice seemed familiar

"I am proud of you and Halima
If your parents were alive they would be proud as well"Baba spoke then he grinned
And i smiled 

"Thank you Baba"i said softly

He nodded then gave me a pat on my head before he walked away

I sat in the car thinking of so many things
And i kept saying Alhamdulilah
Because Allah never leaves his servant

And suddenly my phone beeped indicating a text from an unknown number

"As salam alaikum since you wouldn't contact me,I will do it instead
Its Numan and I can't wait to see you tomorrow
Future wife💚you looked very beautiful today Masha Allah and I am proud of you
No...I am not a stalker
Mom told me everything and sent me videos and pictures"

I smiled softly
Maybe Numan is my future but Doctor Abba is forever remembered

"What are you smiling at like That?"Salim asked

"What is your own?"i asked slightly flushed

They are now secondary school graduates 😂😂😂
