Here's one to us and the love we share.

𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐃 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐋𝐀𝐘 was a force to be reckoned with and everyone knew that. She had a magnetic personality, a mouth that could put grown men on their knees and time and again, a heart of pure gold that was tested through and through. Maybe that was why, Astrid was a force to be reckoned with. To the growing woman, her family was her first priority and she was beyond proud of her semi-Mexican roots. Sure, her life wasn't perfect - she had real mad troubles but she was good at hiding that. Astrid was many different versions of people. At times, she was the friendly girl next door, on other days, she fought for the ones who lacked the courage to be strong and on still others, she cried in secret for things she wouldn't let anyone know. With her flaming red passion for things she believed in and her life-of-the-party self, she was a mix of one too many characters. It was sometimes hard to know who she really was. In being everything everyone needed, she was losing sight of who she was. 

But that was why she always had 𝐂𝐀𝐄𝐋𝐔𝐌 𝐋𝐔𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐆 to remind her who she was. And what she was deep within. She had fallen in love with Cal a while after knowing him for a bit. She fell in love with everything about him. Cal and his huge glasses. Cal and his big words and habit of writing. Cal and his knowledge about the most trivial of facts. And then there were little-known things about Caelum only Astrid knew. Ten-year-old Caelum and cycling to his mother in the hospital. Cal and his drunk father. Cal and his dark moods. 

They met each other by fate, fell in love accidentally and chose to stay on purpose. Because through highs and lows, it was a promise they had made when they were but teens and through choice they would prove all wrong. 

Because love was worth and the right person did not exist. The both of them knew that. It was in choosing each other that they would make it all work. 

  For love was war, 
and peace was in doing the right thing. 

Even when it wasn't easy.
