Keith walked up to Shiro. "Congratulations." He smiled as he hugged him. "You ready to take on the world now?"

"No no no! I'm done fighting." Shiro said. "I just want to spend the rest of my life with Curtis."

Keith smiled and chuckled. "I'm so happy for you."

"Speaking of happiness, where is Lance? I thought you would be hanging out with him."

"I... I decided I was going to give up Shiro." Keith said. "I have been holding onto something that never mattered. I was stuck in that bonding moment, but it meant nothing."

"Keith..." Shiro frowned. "Why don't you go talk to him?"

"I do talk to him." Keith said.

"Not about your feelings." Shiro said. "Or how you have felt about him for years."

"I can't." Keith said. "He loved Allura, not me. He lost her, but he still loved her..."

"Keith, look." Shiro said. "When Adam And I broke up, I thought I could never love again. But now, look at me, I am married and excited for what the future might bring. But I still love and remember Adam for who he was. But he is gone, and I love Curtis just as much and if not more then Adam. I also know that Adam loves me, and if he were here he would want me to be happy."

"What does that have to do with me?" Keith asked.

"I know Allura would want what's best for Lance." Shiro said. "Even though she is no longer with us. Keith, your happiness shouldn't mean anything less because she is gone, you two care about each other a lot. You deserve to be just as happy as I am."

"So your saying..." Keith raised an eyebrow.

"Alright everyone." The DJ said. "Final dance of the night. Let's slow things down."

"He is waiting for you." Shiro said.

Keith watched Shiro go to Curtis and they started dancing to the final song of the night. He looked to his side and saw the back of Lance's head.

It was now or never.

He walked straight ahead

"Hey sharpshooter." He called out to him. He held his hand up to Lance, his heart was beating a million times a second as he looked into Lance's blue eyes.

"Hey... want to dance?" Keith asked him.

Lance stared straight ahead at Keith as his arm was stretched out. He smiled softly. "I would love to dance." He said and placed his hand in his.

They moved apart before coming back together. Their eyes staying fixed on each other as they walked in a circle to the music.

"I'm sorry, I haven't practiced in a while." Lance said to him.

"It's alright, I haven't practiced since that ballroom dance class we were forced to take when we were kids." Keith told him.

"Really? You seem like a natural." Lance said.

"I remember things." Keith shrugged as they kept dancing, perfectly in step with one another.

"Well... I actually wanted to talk to you about something." Lance said as he twirled Keith around before going back into the stance.

"What?" Keith questioned.

"Remember the game show?" Lance asked as they moved around the room, his hand on Keith's waist.

"How could I forget?" Keith questioned.

"Did you really mean it?" Lance asked. "All those things you said about me... about you not wanting to be stuck with me?"

Keith pauses and looked to the side for a moment before looking back up at Lance, his hand was on his shoulder. "What I said was true, but it wasn't in the way you thought it."

"What did you mean?" Lance asked him.

"I couldn't spend eternity with you without wanting everything I could never have. But things have changed a lot since then Lance. I was going to vote for myself, cause I didn't want to be with my mom and Shiro again, but then I saw you and remembered how much you missed you family, and I wanted you to see them again. I wanted your happiness over my own."

"Wait... everything you could never have?" Lance questioned as they moved out and in, his hands grazing over Keith's arms and into his hands.

"Lance... I can't keep pretending." Keith said. "It's gone on for too long, you can hate me if you want... but it doesn't matter cause after this we don't even have to see each other again."

"What's happening Keith?" Lance asked as they were close together for this part of the dance. Lance's fingers laced up into Keith's soft mullet, Keith's hand rested on Lance's broad shoulder.

Keith looked up into Lance's eyes and felt his warm breath on his cheek. "I love you Lance." He said without a doubt in his voice.

Adam ran up the marble staircase into the capital building, he hadn't even dressed for the occasion but he hurried right to the wedding.

He heavily panted as his eyes scanned the area. The first thing he saw was Keith... dancing with another one of his past students.

Then he saw Shiro. His body relaxed when he saw Shiro in the arms of Curtis. Shiro was smiling, and happy.

Adam found himself smiling too as he watched. "Congratulations Takashi." He whispered to himself. "I'm glad you found your happiness."

Adam turned and left the building, descending back down the stairs he had come up from. "I wish I was still with you... but we both knew that wouldn't last." He whispered to himself as he got back into his taxi. This was it. He gazed up at the building.

"Goodbye Takashi." He said with a smile as the car drove off. "I love you. Best of luck with your future."

"I love you." Keith said as he looked down at his feet, not being able to meet his eyes. "I never stopped loving you. From our bonding moment on... you were always my first choice."

"Keith..." Lance stuttered shocked that he actually confessed.

"It's okay Lance. You don't have to say anything. I just wanted to tell you how I felt, how I always felt..." Keith said as he looked down.

He felt a hand on his cheek that lifted his face up.

The song was coming to a close, they stopped dancing for just that moment in time. Keith stares up at Lance.

The song was fading, the moment was fading, the dance was fading.

He had made a fool out of himself and he could never face Lance against. Not after this!

Then...

Keith was shocked by what came next.

The lights around them changed the purple as the song played its final notes.

"I think I love you too." Lance said softly and cupped his cheek, bringing Keith into a kiss.

A kiss that would stick longer then the bonding moment.

A kiss they both would remember for the rest of their lives.
