"Think we will get stuck in another elevator?" Lance teased as they walked along the cold stone pathway to the hot spring.

"Hopefully not, since there is no elevator." Keith said, opening the door to the spring.

"Oh yeah." Lance laughed as he walked in. "Ooo it's so warm in here."

"Yeah it is. We hardly got to enjoy the pool in the castle of lions." Keith said as he put his towel down on a rack and began to take off his shirt.

"Guess we didn't. Why didn't we ever have a party down there?" Lance questioned as he put down his stuff and took off his shirt.

"It's cause we could never figure out how to get into it." Keith said. "It was on the ceiling." He kept his eyes away from Lance for a moment as his brain processed what he might see.

"This should be exciting! Cause it's not on the ceiling." Lance said as he started to head to the spring, he stretched his arms as he walked.

Keith looked over and followed Lance, blushing softly as he saw his bare back. Keith grabbed his hair and pulled it all up out of his face into a high pony tail thing so it could mostly stay out of his sight.

"Wow Keith." Lance was looking over his shoulder. "Didn't know you had a forehead."

"Oh course I have a forehead!" Keith snapped as he finished tying up his hair. "Let's just get to the spring."

"Did you put on sunblock? Your face is already red." Lance noticed.

"Ummm no i forgot, but you know... pale skin and all." Keith shrugged as he walked beside Lance to the edge of the spring.

"Yeah, I don't have to worry about sunblock or getting burned. Well usually anyways!" Lance laughed as he sat down on the edge before jumping in.

Keith smiled softly. "Yeah, I bet everyone is jealous of your skin during the summertime." He sat down before jumping in after him.

"So what are your plans for the rest of the day?" Lance asked Keith as they swam around.

"Well I'll probably gather up the supplies your giving me and then get out of here." Keith said.

"Oh..." Lance said softly.

"Yeah I got a big mission." Keith said. "We have a lot of planets that need help on our list. It just sucks that I can't help them all right now. But slowly, I do my best."

"But... aren't they dangerous?" Lance said.

"Yeah sometimes." He said. "Usually the planet's are unstable, the people are untrusting and usually try and kill us the first time we come." He chuckled.

Lance didn't say anything.

"There was this one planet that shot these crazy deadly arrows at us. Axca got hit, but she is alright now." Keith kept going on and on about this. "And then there was this one guy who had this axe—"

"Just shut up Keith!!" Lance suddenly yelled at him.

Keith stopped. "What?" He was confused. "What's wrong Lance?"

"All you ever care about is these missions." Lance said. "You can easily get killed and you never cared about the people you hurt when you left."

"Lance I—"

"The blades could care less too." Lance said. "Nobody cared if you died or not, it was all about the mission."

"Lance I don't understand—"

"You left Keith." Lance said. "And you just keep leaving. I felt so alone when you left Voltron. You were the only one who noticed if I was okay or not, and you would talk to me about it."

"Lance I didn't realize—"

"That you were the only one who actually cared? Did you not think about how you leaving affected me? Look even now, you are still the only one who checks in. Shiro, Pidge, Hunk... nobody even calls anymore."

"Lance... I am so sorry." Keith said

"I just wished the others would care like you do Keith." Lance said. "I wished there were more people like you in the world."

"Lance." Keith's voice cracked slightly, he did not realize that he had done this much damage to him. "Lance... I am..." his voice quivered, he felt himself start to cry a little bit, but instead, he quickly wrapped his arms around Lance's shoulders and hugged him tightly. "I am so sorry I hurt you. I didn't mean to hurt you. I promise I won't leave you like that again."

"But you leave all the time." Lance said as he hugged him back. "I never know if you will come back."

"I will always come back Lance." Keith said. "and I'll bring you something each time." He pulled away a little bit and pulled a bracelet off of his wrist. "This is for you." He put it on Lance.

It was a simple bracelet, made of hand crafted wooden beads in the center of the bracelet was a red ruby.

"It's red." Lance said.

"Yeah red. It's kinda our thing in a way, since we are both the red Paladins." Keith said. "I've tried to make everything I got you red. The locals have been real creative, and you are blessing lives each day Lance, without even realizing the impact you are having on the universe."

"Thank you Keith." Lance smiled at him. "You are really the greatest friend a guy could ask for." He said as he pulled a strand of Keith's wet hair out of his face.

"Yeah... so are you Lance." Keith said, a bit sad at those particular words. "Now come on. Let's enjoy this hot spring before my entire body turns red."

"Well you are the red Paladin." Lance teased.

"Yeah, but I like my skin white." Keith said. "Not red, purple, blue, or any other color it's not suppose to be."

"I should make you get a spray tan, see how you look." Lance teased.

"Absolutely not!!" Keith laughed as he swam away. "Bet you can't catch me!"

"Oh it's on Mullet!" Lance laughed as he swam after him.

Lance ended up catching him quickly and held around his waist. "I got you now! You are my prisoner! Tremble before me Paladin!!" He started to tickle Keith.

Quickly Lance discovered that Keith was very very ticklish.

"Lance Stop!!" Keith begged in laughter as Lance kept tickling him.

This went on for a little while until Lance got punched in the face by Keith.

"Sorry... reflexes..." Keith said.

"Well if I get a black eye I'm coming for you mullet." Lance laughed as he held his eye. "But I think i need ice."

"Come on, let's go." Keith said as he got out of the water. "And you deserve it, exposing my weakness like that."

"Your weakness is being tickled?" Lance laughed. "Seriously?"

"I'm very ticklish as you can see." Keith snapped as he grabbed a towel and put it over his shoulders, taking out his hair.

"Oh I'm totally going to tickle you again." Lance smirked.

"Then you will get another black eye." Keith threatened as he dried off and put the towel over his head.

"I can take you in any fight mullet." Lance said as he put his towel around his neck. "You won't ever see me coming."

"Yes I will!" Keith said as he started to grab his things.

"No you won't." Lance said and quickly jumped over and tickled Keith's sides.

Keith laughed his cute little laugh, not seeing this coming and tried to elbow Lance to get him to stop, but he ended up slipping when he tried to get away and fell right into Lance's chest.

Then the two boys fell onto the ground, face to face with each other, and Keith laying on Lance's chest.

Keith quickly used his arms to push himself up. Luckily his face was already sunburn, so Lance couldn't tell thy he had a deep blush on his face over the closeness of their bodies.

"Reflexes." Keith tried to explain. He quickly got back up on his feet. "Don't tickle me in slippery areas."

"You need sunblock." Lance told him.

"Yeah I know." Keith said .
