The interns waited in the ambulance bay. "I say live and let live", Cristina said randomly. "I'm cheerful because I got to scrub in and got laid, and now there are ambulances coming in with bloody car crash victims". "You are seriously disturbed", Lucy said, as Alex tied her trauma gown. Cristina started doing a cheery dance almost hitting Derek in the face. "Damn, just missed", Lucy said. Alex chuckled. "How's my dog?" Derek asked Meredith. "He's good", Meredith said. "And, he's our dog. You seem mad".

"It's not the time to talk about it"

He walked away. "I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that he's mad about something he has no right to be mad about", Lucy said. "Because what else is new".

The first ambulance arrived. "Noah Reynolds, 25 year old restrained driver", the paramedic explained. "His vitals are stable, but he has a pain in his knee". Izzie and Lucy took him to bed 3. Cristina and Holly took Noah's wife inside. "The car drove into Melanies' parents' car", Noah told the doctors. "And that car hit mine and Melanie's car".

Melanie was taken into trauma room one. "It looks like you got all the impact", Holly said to her. "And you're pregnant". "I'm fine", Melanie claimed. "Just check on my baby and my family".

Holly checked for a fetal heartbeat. "Your baby looks okay right now, Melanie", Holly reassured.

Melanie was preparing to have her scan taken. "I was having a baby shower", she said. "That's why my parents were in town". "That sounds lovely", Holly smiled. Alex came in. "I'll leave you to it, Dr Karev", Holly said to Alex who was assigned to Melanie by Addison. "Oh by the way, Alex loves to chat", Cristina smirked before she and Holly left the room.

Izzie and Lucy entered the room where Callie, Meredith and George were. "We're your interns, Dr Torres", Lucy said. "So we'll be joining you for Noah's surgery". "Great", Callie smiled at Lucy. "Go prep him". They left to do so.

Bailey, Alex, Cristina and Holly looked at Melanie's scans as they came up. "All her organs are out of place", Bailey deadpanned, staring at the scans. "Page Shepherd, Montgomery Shepherd, Burke, the Chief and every available surgeon to the OR". They rushed to Melanie to prep her.

Lucy was coming down the stairs from the top when she heard Derek and Meredith arguing below. "I never should have told you about George", Meredith said. "I'm glad to know about him, and the vet", he replied. "It's unforgivable".

"Who's next? Alex? 'Cause I hear he likes to sleep around"

"You don't get to call me a whore. When I met you, I thought I had found the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I was done. So all the boys and all the bars and all the obvious daddy issues, who cared? Because I was done. You left me. You chose Addison. I'm all glued back together now. Derek moved to walk up the stairs but Lucy intercepted him. "Oh no you don't", she said. "For once, can you keep your nose out of my business", he snapped.

"It became my business when you called my boyfriend and my best friend whores. You know what the funniest part is? You still think you're the good guy in this scenario. You're the villain, Derek. You lied to Addison, you lied to Meredith and you lied to me. You want to be mad at your wife, okay, don't get back together with her. You want Meredith, don't make her promises then leave her hanging and get upset when she finally finds someone that isn't you. You want my forgiveness, don't abandon me when I really need you. So, guess what, Derek? You're not the good guy anymore. You're the villain. You're the fucking villain and I hope you rot in hell".

Holly entered the OR. "She can't leave her patient", Holly stutterd. "I have to perform a C section. Can someone tell me how to do it?" Bailey helped her expose the uterus and talked her through the procedure. She took the baby out. "It doesn't look good", Holly said. Melanie continued to bleed profusely. "I can't get it controlled", Bailey said. "She's not coming back", Burke said. "Let's stop", Richard said. "Time of death, 19:48". Addison arrived just as Holly got the baby to cry.

Holly watched through the window as Noah was meeting his baby. Addison stood beside her. "You did good work today, Kepner", Addison said. "The baby doesn't have a mother", Holly said, her eyes watering. "I don't want you to commend me for that".

"What's your opinion on kids?" Lucy asked Alex as she lay down on his chest. "Kids? We're talking about kids?" he said, putting his arm around her.

"No, I'm just asking. You don't have to answer if you don't want to"

"I want kids, Lucy"

"With me?"

"No, with a hot supermodel"
