The first shower of the season
Came like a blessing to me
Petrichor filled the atmosphere
Winged ants danced around the streetlight
Trees wore an emerald coat of green
Crystal water flooded the paddy fields
A feast of snails and mudfish for the cranes
But, all I could do was
Enjoy the cool darkness
One last time before my departure
