Zelda stared at the Hylian, and, as if by instinct, reached out to touch the crystals. At her touch, as if by magic, the crystals shimmered and disappeared. The Hylian man fell to the ground, unconscious. Zelda knelt down next to him and checked for a pulse. He was alive, and well. When he had been in the crystals, he had looked like he was in pain, now he looked calm. Zelda stared at him. "Is he really the Last Link?" She muttered quietly as the unconscious Hylian began to stir and wake

His eyes slowly opened, he looked at her. "Princess Zelda?" He questioned weakly as he tried to sit up

"Princess?" Zelda questioned as she helped him sit up "I'm no princess. My name is Zelda, I'm a history minor at Hyrule University, and you are?"

"What are you talking about? It's me, Link..." Link's eyes widened "Ganondorf. What'd... What'd he do to me?"

"So you're him?" Zelda began "You're the Last Link."

"The... Last Link?"

"The Last Link before Ganondorf's Tyrannical reign began."

"How long...." Link began "How long has it been?"

"You went missing three hundred years ago."

"Three... Three Hundred?"

"Yep." Zelda replied. Link looked at where he'd been trapped, the remains of the crystal shimmered on the floor. The broken bars of an old cell laid strewn across the floor. His eyes landed on his sword. Zelda followed his eyes. "The Master Sword."

"The Blade of Evil's Bane." Link said calmly "Did you.... Did you happen to see an old Hylian shield laying around, or did... Or did Ganondorf destroy it?"

"I didn't see it."

"That was a gift from Princess Zelda, he knew that." Link mumbled as he tried to stand

"You shouldn't-" Zelda began. Link stood, stumbled a little, but then began to walk around "Well okay then..."

"I just need to stretch my legs." Link said quietly "I've apparently been trapped in crystals for three hundred years."

"Fair enough." Zelda agreed as she stood

"Where are we?" Link asked

"You don't know?"

"I was kept prisoner here, I didn't really get told where I was being kept."

"Ok... We're in the Zora domain. In a cave not far from the border of the capital domain."

"Let me guess, the Gerudo Desert?"

"Yep."

"Well then, you're majesty, we should get out of here."

"I told you, I'm not a princess."

"Princess Zelda, I never forget a face." Link smiled at Zelda "Or a voice."

"Link, listen." Zelda started "Everyone thinks you're dead. Everyone has thought that for three hundred years."
