As long as Valentino could remember, racing had been a part of his life. Living close to one of italy's most famous race tracks and being able to watch the formula 1 races basically from his bedroom window, there could have never been another outcome than him being a big ferrari fan at just 5 years old. And, probably like most little boys, his biggest dream was to become a racer. In hindsight, it had always seemed unrealistic for him to actually achieve this goal. With his father never really being present and his mom having an average income, there wasn't a lot of money that they could have invested into this but nonetheless, his mother had faith in his talent.
And Valentino didn't disappoint her. Of course, his karting career had its ups and downs and there had been some times that he wanted to quit it all and just go back to his regular life, especially when his mom got very sick. He spent a lot of time with her in the hospital, letting his hobby lack a lot. The months leading up to the death of his mom, he felt so helpless, being only 9 years old himself. But he stood strong, to at least give his younger sister a bit of stability.

The day it happened, they had both been in the hospital at their mother's bed. And on this day, Valentino promised her something. That he would make it into Formula 1. That one day, he would drive for ferrari, to honor her. One day, he would drive on the track next to his childhood home and he would win it.

But that was easier said than done. Karting was competetive, especially in europe and he couldn't always afford the newest upgrades to keep up with the others. Valentino was once again at the point to give up when he just kept crashing the kart over and over again. When everything seemed impossible, his biggest supporter had been no one other than his younger sister Silvana. That and the promise he had made to his mom kept him going to achieve higher and higher.

At 19, he had become a member of none other than the scuderia ferrari driver academy. After that, there was no stopping him anymore. His talent impressed many people, so not long after, Valentino was asked to sign the contract with ferrari and he happily did. Of course, this was his dream come true. The same day he visited his mom's grave to tell her about the news before anyone else.

His story had inspired hundreds of people, making him just likeable for the public in general. Correspondingly, many, not only the ferrari fans, cheered when he won his home race. On this day, he raised his trophy high up to the sky as the crowd sang the italian anthem. His anthem...

Just like a wise man once said: "Everyone is a ferrari fan"
