TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️: Obviously, the maze runner series is pretty dark, all things considered. The reality of a group of teenagers being trapped in a maze surrounded by monsters is what I imagine to be a gruesome and bloody one. That said, the first part of this book (while necessary to read for plot) is relatively dark and quite heavy with lots of death.

Trigger warnings include graphic descriptions of injuries, blood, accidental suicide, attempted suicide, grief, the death of young teenagers, eating disorders, starvation, and canon typical violence.

Disclaimer - Part One of this book is not accurate to the events of The Fever Code, and whilst there may be some similarities to the prequel of the series the original characters and the events that occur are my own work and are not necessarily book accurate. I have used The Fever Code as inspiration for this section, but have chosen to either leave things out or change them for plot development. Many of these characters are OC's and will not be found in the book series. All canon characters were written by James Dashner and were just borrowed for this story. This story is based off of the movie trilogy, not the books.
