Rayne's POV
I button Mikey's top button and straighten his collar while Camille ties her shoes. Michael heads downstairs with two hats in his hand "Ray, brown or black?" He asked.
I give him a once over before pointing to the black hat quietly. He and I were both ignoring the fact that the word "divorce" popped up between us in the past week. I've been punishing myself for almost cheating on him and he's been pushing himself to forgive me, but right now neither one of us have been happy.
I take Camille and Michael to the truck and strap them in while we waited for Michael. We were all headed to Katherine's for a big family "dinner." Technically thanksgiving, but because Katherine is a Jehovahs Witness, it was just dinner.
"What's taking daddy so long?" Camille says, peering out her window. "I can't wait to see everyone." She smiles. Camille was very family oriented and loved to be around everyone. It'd honestly break my heart to separate her from the family with this divorce.
Michael hops in the car beside me, latching his hand in mine and placing it to his lips. I give a small smirk as we pull off from the ranch. The drive from Michael's to his mother's was a two and a half hour ride, so I ended up falling asleep leaning my head on his shoulder. We still loved each other, we just were unhappy.
Randy and his daughter pulled in right before us and we met them at the front door. "Hey, I didn't know you guys were coming!" He smiles hugging the kids.
"Camille insisted... she wanted to see her cousins." Michael chimes. We walked inside to be greeted by the entire family, everyone was sprawled out throughout the house. All the men sat and watched sports with their sons while the ladies and their daughters were in the kitchen helping Katherine with the food.
Jackie, Jermaine, and Marlon all greeted me with a quick hug as Michael swooped our son out of my hands. I watched him sit with all the guys quietly watching a game he was uninterested in before I head into the kitchen with Camille. Latoya hugs me like never before, squeezing me tightly. "Rayne it's so good to see you!" She smiles. Rebbie and Katherine both greeted me with hugs before Janet drifted over to me with a look of concern. She was the only one who knew about what was going on with Michael and I.
"How are you feeling?" She asked quietly.
I just sigh, shaking my head.
"We'll talk.." Janet nods.
"Mommy can I go play? Siggy said he'll push me on the swings." Camille says sweetly.
"Yeah of course, just be careful." I respond. I usually enjoy myself with the Jackson family, but I feel like such an outsider this time.

Janet and I found a spot where she and I could talk. I told her everything that happened since the kiss between Andre and I.
"You gave him divorce papers? Rayne.. why?" She asked, her mouth gaped open.
"I just don't feel like we're ever gonna get back to where we were before this... why should he subject to being with someone who he doesn't trust?" I sigh..
"You know marriage is never perfect. But you can't keep hating yourself. Michael will get over this eventually.. you both need to learn from this and move on. You two are the longest lasting couple out of all of us, you know you guys will move past this."
I sigh, I understood Janet's point, but she couldn't imagine how desperate I am for Michael to trust me. He has no one to trust with his life anymore and I messed that up.
"It'll be ok Rayne." Janet says, before heading inside the house.
I simply respond with a sigh, following her inside.
It's safe to say Michael and I kept our distance and although it was killing me to not sit under him and lay with him on the couch at times, I understood why we couldn't be that way.
I walk in to see Katherine holding Michael in her arms tickling him, his laughter affecting everyone in the room as I sit in front of the counter watching them.
"You know Camille looks like you but this one..." Katherine says referring to Michael, "he looks just like his father.. either way you have beautiful children."
I smile, "thanks Katherine."
"Rayne! Rayne! We're watching old home videos from Joe Jackson day at Michael's house." Michael's cousin Levon says chuckling. He had gotten so big since I'd last seen him. I follow him to the living room, practically the entire family watched giggling at various clips of old family clips. I scanned the couch looking for a seat as Michael tapped the empty space next to him, while Camille, who was sitting on his lap, beckoned me to sit beside him also.
"Aw look this is when we pushed Michael in the pool!" Siggy says, tapping Levon on the shoulder.
I chuckle at the memory, Michael and I were at war that day.
"Mom, why'd you guys push daddy?" She giggles.
"We were just being silly.." I mutter with a grin.
Michael's nephew "Oggy" laughed as the next clip came, showing a magician pretending to chop another one of his cousins heads off in a guillotine. As soon as the blade dropped Oggy took off running.
We laughed almost as hard as we did that day before Oggy stood up almost 18 now, "for the record, I really thought he cut off TJ's head.. I did." He announced laughing.
I giggle loudly. Michael leaned his head on mine as a clip, I had never seen, passed on the tv of the two of us, hand in hand smiling at one another and sitting in a patch of grass together.
"Awww, The happy couple. they're so cute it's disgusting." Tito's voice chuckles in the video causing me to shoot him a funny look.
"I didn't know you were recording!" Michael says laughing.
"You two look happy mommy.." Camille smiles.
"We were." I sigh as Michael leans his head on mine.
The family was called to eat a few moments later and we all dispersed into the kitchen.

Michael's POV
I sat with my brothers for a few minutes after dinner to propose something I had been working on a for a few months. I'm sure they'll be excited for it.
"So fellas, my friend David Guest, he suggested doing a tribute show for me next year to honor my 30 years in the industry. But in honoring me, they have to honor you... I wouldn't be where I am if it weren't for you guys, of course.. so what do you guys think of a reunion show?" I ask.
Randy nods, "I think that would be awesome Mike."
"I'm down for that." Tito says adjusting his bowler hat.
"Are we getting honored too?" Jermaine asked, causing everyone to roll their eyes. "What? I'm just saying, we've all been in the industry for 30 years, not just Michael. I'm just saying it doesn't feel fair."
"Yeah we've been in the industry a long time but what have we done that's comparable to Mike.. solo?" Jackie says irritably. "I'm proud of you Mike, I'm in."
Jermaine sulks for a while as I expected he would have before submitting, "yeah I'm in too."
"Cool." I grin, "I don't have any details yet but when I do, I'll try and contact you guys.. or Ramone might contact you." I stand to find Rayne sitting in the kitchen eating a piece of my mother's lemon pie.
"Good huh?" I ask walking in.
She turns to me with a small grin, "your mom's lemon pie can't be beat." She says, putting another forkful in her mouth.
I lean across the counter, guiding her fork into the pie and toward my mouth. I give her smirk before she giggles quietly. " why are you sitting in here by yourself?" I ask.
She wipes a smudge of cream from my lip, "well, everyone is either passed out from food or outside running it off, I just thought I'd catch a little bit of quiet time."
I nod, sitting in the stool next to her. "Rayne, you know you don't want a divorce." She sighs lowly, her eyes focused on the countertop.
"I don't. But if you can't trust me, what's the point in us staying together."
"What if I told you, I do trust you.." I smirk.
"I'd say you were lying.."
"Ah, so you don't trust me?" I grin. She chuckles understanding where I'm getting at..
"That's not the same thing Mike." She smiles.
"Why not? I've done things that I'm sure have made you lose trust in me.. but I'm still here. Why are you being so hard on yourself?" I ask, bringing her chin to face me.
"I told you.. I'm upset because you don't trust many people, and the one person you trusted more than anything.. messed up. I messed up Mike and I'm just having trouble dealing with it." She sighs.
I nod, "ok. I get it. But can I at least rip up those divorce papers?"
She smirks, nodding her head before leaning on my shoulder. "You know watching those videos earlier. I realize I've been around way too long to just divorce you." She chuckles.
"You really have, you'd be haunting me years after we broke up, knowing my family 'remember Rayne? Why'd you and Rayne separate? Rayne Rayne Rayne'" I chuckle, mocking my family members.
"You'd never get away from me." She giggles.
"I never want to, I love you." I peck her lips.
"I love you too." She smiles.
We were interrupted by Janet clapping happily as she entered the kitchen. "Aw, yay. I'm so glad you guys made up."
I laugh, "where did you even come from?"
"Around the corner!" Janet says, pouring herself a glass of water.
"There's never a moment of solitude in this house." I chuckle looking at Rayne.
