Its been 2yrs since Tai and Candy broked it off but that doesn't mean the feelings were also gone. Kari stood in contact with Candy simply because she found her as a good friend, even though Tai doesn't know. Tai is in college, he moved out of his parents apartment getting his own home. Kari and Tai were out hanging out together for old times sake at a restaurant.

"So how's everything with you?"

Kari asked looking towards her brother. Tai has been distracted in his mind a lot lately. He looked at Kari and with a sad smile.

"Everything's great"

But Kari saw through his fake smile he was still hurting. He had officially stopped sleeping around when High School ended.

"No you're not. You are still thinking about her"

"Kari just drop it"

He said slightly annoyed.

"Why don't you go talk to her?"

Tai placed his head on his hands.

"Don't you think I tried that, I been to her apartment 2yrs ago and she left. I don't know where she is? I don't even know if she left back to California. You would thought I would have already forgotten about her"

He said sadly. Kari sadly smiled at her brother and took out a pen and paper from her purse and wrote something down. Tai looked up at her as she handed him a paper, he looked at it confuse.

"What is this?"

"Don't tell anyone but its a secret"

She said in a low whisper.

"Its her new address."

Tai looked at her in surprise.

"H-how do you?"

"We stood in contact"

"Did she ask about me?"

He asked desperately. Kari sadly smiled and shook her head.

"So she doesn't want to know anything about me huh?"

He said lowly.

"To be honest I don't blame her"

"Candy didn't want me telling you where she works, but Mom told me you were lagging on communication which was why I brought you out here for to talk and for to give you Candy's work address."

Tai sadly smiled at his sister.

"I don't know what happened to me? Candy was always there even by accident. What if she doesn't want to see me?"

"Life is about taking chances Tai. Its either you go out and get it or you stay stuck at home wondering what if? I think you should talk to her maybe she feels the same way as you"

She said as she stood up and paid her half before giving her brother a kiss on the forehead before leaving. Tai let out a sigh as he looked at the piece of paper. After a moment of debate, Tai stood up and paid the rest of the check before heading out to where the address was located. Tai found himself at a fancy restaurant.

'Wow Candy must have really upgraded'

He thought with a smile. He went inside and got a table for two. A waitress walked up to him with a friendly smile.

"Hello sir, what would you like to order?"

Tai looked at the girl but notice it wasn't the one he was looking for.

"I'll have a water only"

"Okay be right back"

She said as she wrote down the order and was about to leave but Tai stopped her.

"Um excuse by any chance is their a waitress here name Candy Rose?"

The waitress laugh.

"She is not a waitress, she's actually the manager that runs this place and she is great at what she does. You want me to go get her?"

"If its not too much trouble"

"I'll send the message and be back with your water"

As the waitress left Tai was surprise to hear that Candy became a Manager at a very fancy restaurant. A few moment later the waitress return with a water.

"She said she will be out in a few minutes"

"Okay"

"Anything else I could get for you?"

"No thanks"

"Okay then"

She said as she went to tend the other tables. Tai waited patiently and nervously. He heard some music playing and looked towards the band and was in shock at what he saw, Matt was on the small podium singing. After Matt was done singing, Tai couldn't help but go and greet him since its been too long.

"Matt?"

Tai asked. Matt turned around and smiled as he saw Tai.

"Hey Tai it's been long"

"Yeah it has. I heard Candy is the manager here and decided to drop by. I thought you were planning to be an astronaut."

"I am, but I just do this for I don't get rusty and Candy offered for me to play at the restaurant. My band and I get free food and plus we get paid a very good amount"

"That's great. Um are you and..."

Tai said trailing off. Matt smirk as he caught on to his meaning.

"No Candy and I are just friends, nothing more, not even friends with benefits"

Tai let out a breathe he didn't know he was holding in.

"We'll catch up soon, okay I need to start packing up my things"

"Right"

"See ya"

Matt said as he waved. Tai smiled as he went back to his table and in just a few seconds a lady with red hair wearing a black jacket, white blouse, black skirt that reached to her knees and a pair of black high heels cane up to the table.

"Wow, this beats your record of two years of you not bothering me."

"Candy"

"What do you want?"

She asked crossing her arms over her chest looking at him sternly.

"I was thinking of we can catch up on the things we missed in each other's lives"

"I have work to do"

"Candy please, we're not teenagers anymore. I just want to talk"

"I don't want to talk to you anymore. You're stalking again. The part of my life talking to you is over. I'm done with you. This so far has been the best part of my life and I am not going to let you in just because we are adults."

"Candy..."

"If you say you want to do something right, how about you go help Sora raise your 2yr old son"

She said turning around walking away leaving Tai stunned at the new information.
