Chapter 24: Home Sweet Home

"Aight, ma don't forget what I said. Hit me up as soon as you land. If you need me don't hesitate to call me. If shit gets too hard to bear and the girls can't get through to you bring ya ass home" Dave said sternly. "I'll be there waiting for you" Dave said to April as they sat in his Range with her straddling his lap. "I'm dead ass, April if you need to come home bring ya ass home" he was serious. He knew this weekend was going to be stressful for her so he needed her to know that he'd be there for her even if he couldn't be with her in the flesh. He needed her to know that he had her back and they'd get through it together. April wouldn't have to deal with anything alone and that she was grateful for.

"Papi I promise I hear you. I'll be fine. I'm going in with a clear and positive mind but if push comes to shove just be there to answer the door" she placed her forehead against his sighing not wanting to leave his side.

"Say less" he pecked her lips.

"I need to get going. Come on so I can get my luggage"

"You ain't going anywhere until you give me my kisses" he said dead ass serious and he meant that shit. If he was around she couldn't go anywhere without giving him his 'kisses'. He wasn't with the fucks.

"Wasn't leaving without them" she smiled as she grabbed Dave's face in her hands and placed her lips on his giving him closed mouth kisses until she slowly and teasingly ran her tongue along his bottom lip silently asking for entry knowing damn well he wouldn't deny her. Dave's grip on her waist tightened as he opened his mouth letting her cherry jolly rancher flavored tongue dance across his. Letting her have her fun for a few he dominated her tongue along with the kiss, kissing her passionately. No more words needed to be exchanged. Everything was said in the kiss as they both felt shock waves and tingles ignite throughout their entire bodies from the top of their heads to the tip of their toes leaving April soaked down below and Dave hard on and ready to bust out his sweats.

"Time to go Thing 1 we got moves to make and people to see" they heard Alaina as she knocked on the tinted window on the passenger side. Dave pulled away with his teeth still attached to her bottom lip then chuckled letting go as it made a popping sound.

April sighed in contentment. "Damn" she ran her tongue over her lips and shivered. She couldn't get enough.

"I'll handle that when you get home" he lightly kissed her lips again and tapped her ass.

"Ok" she said shyly as she removed herself from his lap.

"Don't get all shy on me now" Dave chuckled and fixed himself in his pants. April couldn't even think straight. He had never kissed her like that before. Sure she always felt shivers and little tingles when she kissed him but this kiss was filled with so much more that words couldn't do it any justice. She loved it and wanted more but knew she had to wait. Sunday night couldn't come fast enough. She was ready to leave and turn right back around just to be with Dave.

"Uh huh" she watched Dave open his door and step out the truck walking over to her side to open hers making sure to close it behind her once she hopped out. Alaina had given Dave a hug and they did their signature handshake before she walked off to the jet to give them a few more minutes alone. Dave walked to the trunk and got her luggage while she grabbed her backpack and phone.

"Aye ma, come here"

She met him at the trunk. "Sup"

"I know we were planning to wait for you to get back but I want to claim what's already mine" Dave locked his eyes on her. He couldn't wait any longer to make her his. He was trying to wait until everything was said and done with Chris but he felt the need to ask her now. They had been chilling    heavy since late May and here it was 4 months later September to be exact and they were still going strong. He wanted her since his eyes first set on her and now it seemed like he needed her. She made him want to be better. She made him want to be more than just a rapper, made him want to be more. It was like he wanted to match her fly. She made him feel like he was doing more than just living. He felt alive so he had to claim her. It was no way in hell he was going to give Chris the slightest inkling that he could get April back. She was off the market. She was his and he was hers.

April smiled. "What are you saying" she asked already knowing but waiting and wanting to hear him say the magic words. The words she had been dying to hear.

"I'm saying well asking if you who's already mine if you'd be my woman officially" he walked up on her smiling pulling her close to him as she wrapped her arms around his waist looking up at him.

"Baby, you do know that I was already yours right" she blushed. It was true she had been Dave's since the day he first came to her crib. She wasn't entertaining nobody but him.

"Oh I did I just had to cement this shit" he gave her a full on smile. The one that showed all of his teeth that made her all warm inside. She loved to see him smile it was always a sight to see.

"Well I'm yours...now come on before LaLa gets back off the jet" April laughed. Damn she felt good. It was done. She was finally Dave's woman.

"Word" Dave chuckled as they walked hand and hand up to the jet as one of her workers greeted both her and Dave and took her luggage. Dave lifted her up in his arms and she immediately wrapped her arms and legs around him while he gripped her ass. "Don't forget what I said" he didn't care how many times he repeated himself. He needed her to know that he was there for her POINT BLANK PERIOD.

"I won't. I'll call you when we land" she pecked his lips.

"You better" he kissed her once more and placed her back down on the ground.

"See you later and you better behave" she looked at him while she cautiously walked up the stairs. April wasn't worried about another chick. She knew his ass was still low key plotting along with Shooter and Bully on how to get rid of Profit's bitch ass. He didn't have to tell her what was going on in the background because she already knew. Besides it wasn't like it was a secret between the two of them.

"You have my word" he chuckled and watched her fade away as she fully entered the jet before he turned around and headed back to his vehicle. April entered the jet with a pure genuine big ass kool aid smile on her face. She felt like she was floating because she was absolutely on cloud 9 and she loved the feeling.

"Bout time ya ass got on. You was so busy boo loving I thought we weren't ever gonna leave" Alaina joked but she had to admit that she loved seeing her sister happy. "Damn big bro must've snatched your soul with that kiss" she continued joking looking at her sister who stood before her blushing.

"Hush up" April laughed and took a seat beside her on the cream leather plush chair.

"When y'all gonna stop playing in the friend zone" Alaina asked as the pilot let them know that they were preparing to take off.

"Well if you must know we just made it official" April big smiled.

"Wait, wait, wait...skrttttt...so you're telling me that my big sista, my BFF is finally off the market and dating Harlem's finest Dave East" Alaina cheesed. She was extremely happy for April.

April nodded still blushing and smiling. "Yes ma'am he's officially mines all mines...Damn that felt good to say" she continued smiling. Nothing could take away the high she was feeling. She felt like a fiend getting their first hit of the day and damn it was a bomb ass feeling.

"Aye, aye, aye" Alaina twerked in her seat as the stewardess Monica came out to make sure they were buckled in. Honestly they were both waiting until it was safe to unbuckle their seatbelts because they were going straight to the back to hop in the bed and take their ass's to sleep.

"I'm so happy for you. Dave's a nice guy. I wish you guys nothing but the best" Alaina said sincerely.

"Thank you sista"

"You know I still need those details on how that meet and greet was with ole girl but I'm a wait till we get Hazel cause I already know she wants to know as well"

April rolled her eyes" It ain't much to tell but it's enough to tell"

"Aww hells we're gonna leave it at that until later when we pick up Hazel. Any, who does she know you're coming" Alaina wanted the tea but she was willing to wait to take a sip.

"Nope I spoke to Trey and told him I was coming and to make sure her ass had a free weekend. So when we touch down we're going straight to their place and snatching her up"

"She just might cry. She's gonna be shocked. You haven't stepped foot in their house in years"

"I know that's why I avoided her all week. I ain't want to slip up and tell her cause we both know she'd a cried all week long" April laughed.

"Hell yea" Alaina joined her.

5 hours later just like she promised April had called Dave as soon as they landed but got no answer. She wasn't pressed though because she knew he'd be calling her back. Luggage now in the jeep that awaited them followed by her security team April and Alaina hopped inside and started their journey to Hazel and Trey's place. She had already texted Trey to let him know that they were on the way. She couldn't wait to see her best friend and her brother. Although she was here to speak to Chris she also had plans for all of them to chill on Saturday and just catch up face to face with everyone. She owed them all an apology and by the end of her visit she wanted to make things right and be one with her crew well family again. Finally making it through LA traffic she pulled up to Hazel and Trey's, pressed the 4 digit passcode to open the gate, and parked her car beside one of the vehicles that was out.

"She bout to flip" Alaina laughed.

"Hell yea" they both hopped out of the jeep and made their way to the front door with April ringing the doorbell although she had a key. It was for emergency purposes so she didn't plan on barging in like she owned the place. A few seconds later they heard Hazel talking shit behind the door. Hazel was always talking shit. She was a shit talker but don't let it fool you she could back it up.

"Trey I swear that betta not be Chris light bright ass. I thought we were boo loving tonight" Hazel said with a slight attitude.

"Baby, just answer the damn door" Trey groaned playfully.

"Whatever...who is it? If it's you Chris take ya ass home" she smacked her lips while April and Alaina tried to hold in their laughter.

"Thing 1 and Thing 2 but-"

April was cut off as Hazel shrieked with joy and opened the door. "Stop playing with me right now" Hazel said as her eyes teared up and Trey walked up behind her cheesing. From her reaction April knew that Trey hadn't spilt the tea.

"Hey sista" April teared up as Hazel pulled her into her arms crying on her shoulder. To anyone else this would seem dramatic but April hadn't stepped foot in her house since she walked out on Chris. Alaina teared and walked pass them going straight in the house and into the living room letting them have their moment. Alaina saw Hazel and Trey more often since she was always here to visit August. Trey pulled them both inside the house and closed the door.

Hazel pulled away and smiled at April. "I can't believe this right now" she grabbed her hand and dragged her to the living room.

"Not tryna interrupt y'all lil moment but can I get some love from my sista too. You've seen her more than me" Trey said as he looked at the both of them.

"Brotha" April cheesed and jumped in his arms. Trey held her tight in his arms. He had truly missed her just as much as she missed him . They were all tight and truly treated each other as siblings.

"I missed you Trey Trey and I'm so sorry for not coming to visit you guys like I should've"

"I understand why you did it but don't let this be the last time. You still in trouble but I'm a let it slide since you're here for more important matters" he said and kissed her forehead.

"I know I know" April said as he put her down. "Don't worry though before I leave I planned a seafood boil for all of us at my place and before you ask yes I'm cooking" she laughed.

"Fuck yea" he cheesed.

"Now back to you" April looked at Hazel. "No boo loving for you tonight. This is the weekend I speak to Chris and you know I need you. So I need you to go pack your overnight bag you're coming with us for the weekend"

"I'm not even gonna argue with you and bae for sneaking around and plotting behind my back. I'm too happy right now" Hazel said as her smile never left. "I'll be right back cause I know Trey bout to bother you" April laughed while Hazel walked out and headed upstairs to their bedroom.

"So you ready for this weekend" Trey asked as they took a seat on the sectional.

"Ready as I'll ever be" she answered and shrugged her shoulders.

"Hopefully all goes well. He's Chris you know how he is. Just make sure you say everything you need to say and get it off your chest. He needs to hear it and make sure you hear him out as well. Y'all, both been holding shit in for years. It's not healthy"

April nodded her head. She agreed with him. "I already know. At the end of the day I just want the both of us to get right. I miss my friend. The least we can do is be cordial with one another. We have the same friends we'll have to be around each other eventually so why not work on our friendship. That's if we can even make it to that step"

"I have faith in y'all. The crew just ain't the same no more. Ya lil ass missing in action and it ain't right" Trey admitted.

"I'm a do better" April said as Chose Me by her baby Dave East featuring Floyd Miles blared through the speakers of her I-phone interrupting them. April smiled as she seen Dave's picture pop up. He was facetiming her. No longer paying attention to Trey she never noticed him looking down at her phone and the hole Alaina was burning on the side of her face. "Hey papi" April answered smiling once the call connected. He was in his bedroom lying in bed with his shirt off looking fresh out the shower snackable.
