Chapter 13 - A Second Heartbreak

╚═════ஓ๑♡๑ஓ═════╝

She laid 2 knocks on the door of her friend's home, retracting her hand back and waiting for an answer; and when the door swung open to reveal her black and white-haired friend, she smiled.

"H-Hey, sorry again for no notice, but... M-My dad kicked me out again..." Juvia spoke out, rubbing her hand up and down her arm embarrassingly as the friend from the Element Four stared at her.

Totomaru sighed and opened the door, speaking out with his raspy voice - the sound of just waking up showing in his voice. He smiled and offered a hand to her "come on in."

Juvia softly smiled back, putting her hand in his as he took her inside, Toto planning to go get a bed ready for his friend once done shutting the door.

Whenever Dave kicked Juvia out, Totomaru was always the one she ran to. Why? If she went to Gajeel he'd get angry at her father, if she went to Sol he'd worry too much, and if she went to Aria he would just cry, which would then make her do the same.

Toto had feelings for Juvia and cared for her DEEPLY enough to allow her inside - his Parents were always out so he saw the opportunity of allowing the heartbroken girl into his home for the well-deserved rest she needed.

He, like all of Juvia's friends, wanted Juvia to get out of her situation so badly - but seeing as Juvia stopped them at any point and avoided all helping hands, he didn't know anymore. He didn't know if she wanted help, he didn't know for sure if she needed help either. Juvia really was good at hiding any and all emotions at any point and time-

-and good at hiding secrets from her close friends.

Lucy groaned, holding her head in her hands. She, at the moment, was having a mental break down. Just before lunch started, she was told by her teacher in the previous class that there would be a test in the next few days and Lucy, being the upbeat good student she was, could honestly say she hadn't learned a single thing. She was always the type to know everything and anything about a topic, but what the test was on? It confused her and she didn't know why or how it did.

"I don't see the point, Luce..." Natsu trailed off, looking at the blonde with a raised brow and as if she were some disease "just study harder. "

Lucy lifted her head and glared at the salmon in color haired boy "because, Natsu, my stupid teacher doesn't know how to explain things!!!"

Gray just chuckled looking at the two talking - fighting, really - like a couple. He was left alone with them on his lonesome since Erza was in a student council meeting with the entirety of Magnolia and Fiore's council as well - which included Levy, on the Magnolia side, and then Meredy plus Jellal, Fiore's side. All three were in the meeting, so Gray was left alone to deal with the soon to be dating duo.

"What's so funny, huh?!" Lucy asked Gray, looking at Gray with a scrunched nose, "do you find me struggling with the test FUNNY?!"

Lucy angry was something no one wanted, and Gray feared he had just unleashed the monster from inside the blonde because she thought he was laughing at her struggle. He just shook his head, looking away from her "Nah, it's something else."

"Tell me, then!!!" Lucy screamed acting as if a savage beast.

"Well, I really want to, but I'm afraid you'd kill me even though it has nothing to deal with the test..." he looked over to Natsu and then back to Lucy with a smirk, causing the blonde to blush.

She fidgetted "nevermind!!!!"

Gray laughed again as Natsu eyed the two, not knowing what was going on.

"So you're struggling with it, too?" a voice sounded out obviously talking to the three, and once they did hear the stranger speak up, they all turned and saw a guy, who had perfect blue hair, a tattoo above his eye, and an opposite uniform as them--which meant-

"What do ya want, Fiorean!?" Natsu narrowed his eyes at the new man that had just shown up, clenching his fists with narrowed eyes.

The guy held up his hands defensively "I'm not trying to start something, bud," the blue-haired guy, who they had never seen before, said with a smirk, nodding his head towards Lucy "I am in beautiful Miss Lucy's class and am just as confused as she is about the test."

Lucy raises her head "b-beautiful?" she stared at the guy, hearts in her eyes at his looks - before she hadn't paid attention to the newcomer, but now, she needed a fan to blow off the sweat coming from her forehead at how handsome the guy was. On top of that, he called her beautiful! No one, not even a Magnolian, had ever complimented Lucy like that - except for Loke, but he didn't count!!! Her eyes sparkled and she swooned for the guy - it was as if he had a hypnotizing aura around him, because dang. Lucy had never been this stricken with love for a while.

Natsu sat a little ways away from the head-over-heels girl, a sour look towards the guy he got a creepy vibe from "well then, how about you leave!?"

"Natsu, be nice!" Lucy screamed out, smacking his head with the back of her hand, which shut him up very well. Lucy returned to her sweet, charming smile towards the blue-haired God before her and blushed "here, take a seat...your name?"

Taking the offer, the guy sat comfortably by Lucy's side, smiling back at her with a hypnotic gleam in his eye "Bora-" he replied with a dashing smile making Lucy's heart skip a beat or two. She repeated his name letting it roll off her tongue in a romantic slur, all in all, making Natsu fold his arms with a scowl.

At that moment, Lucy forgot all about the presence of Gray and her current crush which looked to be an ex soon.

As the two began talking about the test Natsu banged his head on the table, twisting his face disgustingly at Bora's sappy excuse for flirting. Like, really? The man called "dang your so beautiful I assumed you'd know all about the topic" and "your beauty blinds me" flirting?! Give Natsu a break, Lucy couldn't be falling for a guy like HIM--but indeed she was. A Fiorean, a person Lucy had always despised, was making Lucy change her perspective of life.

Gray couldn't even begin with describing what Natsu must've been feeling at that moment watching his long-time crush be flirtatious with another guy, a FIOREAN. There must be a hole screwed into Natsu's heart or something like that because dang, it looked like the boy was being tortured!

Although seeing his friend-enemy struggling, Gray didn't feel an ounce of sympathy towards him - its Natsu's fault that he didn't have the balls to ask Lucy out. If he just would confess, everything would've been settled; no one would even begin thinking about messing with Natsu's territory. But no, Natsu had to be difficult. He claimed Lucy didn't feel the same way for him - though how she really felt was beyond him - and if he did confess, Lucy would easily say she didn't feel the same.
So really, Natsu didn't have the balls to confess; he valued their friendship way too much, and he'd just ruin it if Lucy knew he loved her romantically.

He wanted to tell her, though, and his friends encouraged him to, but Natsu just couldn't find a reason to. And yet there Lucy was, making his heart wrench and hurt like hell by just flirting with the bastard of a guy, and to be honest, Natsu saw no clue why she was falling for Bora. He seemed like the non-gentleman type who'd hurt girls' hearts wherever he went. So why was Lucy falling for him of all people-?

"Would you want to come over to my house after school today and study together? We'd possibly have free time to even hang out for a while after that-" Bora suggested to which made Lucy's heart beat faster and the heart in both her eyes grew wider. The suggestion also got Natsu out of his thoughts and the more furious with Bora - Lucy would for sure accept the offer and then she'd never fall for Natsu, meaning Bora would rob her from him!

The pinkette would stop at nothing to get Lucy to say no, so he decided then and there to step in and stop their conversation--but luckily, someone else was there to do it for him - it was another pinkette.

Their Student Council friends were walking towards them - Erza, Levy, Meredy, even Jellal, and then there was Lyon who wasn't even apart of the school council - meaning the meeting had ended. Gray watched as they got to the table, they all in deep conversation, Meredy smiling and laughing until reaching the area. Once the girl was aware of the other Fioreans presence, something in her eyes snapped and she rushed over to where Bora and Lucy sat, grabbing hold of the poor guys ear and yanking him away.

Bora sat on the floor, gripping his ear - which was indeed in pain - and stared up in disbelief at the person who just had hurt him "what the hell-- Meredy!?" once he saw who it actually was, he trembled and opened his mouth, staying still as if a frozen ocean.

"Yeah, what the hell!" Lucy said back, standing up and helping the man to his feet as she stared at the pinkette girl "that was uncalled for, Meredy!"

Choosing to ignore the furious blonde, Meredy clenched her fists, both Jellal and Lyon at her side suddenly "I think it's best you go, Bora--" Meredy seethed out, her face showing pure anger.

"Yeah, me too," Natsu said as he grabbed Lucy by the hips, pulling her by his side away from Bora protectively, wanting to get an award just from the look on the dude's face.

Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Levy just stood, confusion overwhelming them just by witnessing the scene. All the Fioreans had a death wish for Bora it seemed. With all the death glares and body stances towards the guy, it was immediately implied he leave - which he did rapidly.

"You all are a bunch of pathetic bafoons--" he said while grasping his throbbing ear, looking at all of the Fioreans with a snarl "you ruin the fun, Meredy, and all of you..."

"Yeah, well, you ruined my friends' life so run on out of here!!" Meredy said with seriousness laced in her vocal cords, deepening her glare and pointing towards the lunchroom door for him to leave.

Bora just rolled his eyes "oh fuck you-" he started walking off but before he was at a reasonable distance for Meredy to be satisfied, she snarled out.

"Go do that to yourself, would ya?" and after she spoke out those words, every bystander who was caught watching the scene went back to what they were doing before the onslaught.

After a while of silence, Lucy bursted.

"What was that about!?" Lucy asked as soon as she ripped herself from Natsu's protective hold.

Meredy lost her glare and shook off all anger and looked softly at Lucy, ignoring her previous question "what was he doing before we showed up?"

"He did nothing-! And that's not even what I'm asking, why the hell did you hurt such a beautiful guy who was just sitting there?!" Lucy whined out, folding her arms as if a child who had just didn't get what she wanted.

Meredy just shook her head, looking past Lucy at Natsu to explain "he was flirting with her, and being all touchy!!"

"Was not!" Lucy denied, whipping her head towards Natsu to glare at him.

Meredy just shook her head and pushed Lucy to sit down "calm down--"

"No, I need an explanation! We were well into conversation about a test!"

"You really fell for that?" Lyon asked, making Lucy snap her gaze towards his direction "I thought you of all people could catch when a guy was bluffing-"

"He was not--" Lucy tried denying again, anything to get them to feel bad about what they did to the guy who was obviously interested in her.

Meredy held onto Lucy's shoulders, making the girl look into her eyes "Juvia fell for his charm just like you did, and trust me, she was hurt beyond belief, I'd hate to see the same thing happen to you because of that guy."

"Wait, wait, wait--" Natsu said aloud, causing all his friends' eyes to be on him "that son of a bitch hurt Juvia? How?"

Jellal nodded, folding his arms and taking a seat a little ways away from Lucy "she loved him and truly believed he felt the same..."

"W-w-what?" Lucy sounded out, her eyes growing wide at the previous words spoken: "B-Bora did what, exactly?"

Meredy bent down and stared up at Lucy, "listen carefully because I'll only say it once--I bet Juvia didn't explain this part of her past..."

"No kidding..."

══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══

It was very easy for Juvia to get depressed with what went on at home - she, and her friends, rarely found a smile shining bright towards others on her facial features.

At this time in her life, she didn't really know how to fake a smile; all she knew was how to be sad and that was all that had been crammed in her mind.

But when she met the boy who was fated to be her boyfriend--everything changed.

At the beginning of middle school, Juvia was exceedingly sorrowful, hiding her feelings from Gajeel and Meredy constantly. She still conversated with them, yes, but was she really happy? No.

She figured it'd be best not to tell both Meredy and Gajeel - even Totomaru, Sol, and Aria - about her Dad's evil doings from then on. It was some form of hiding the truth from them; she felt that if she told any more about her father it wouldn't be her life anymore - it'd be theirs to maintain and keep happy. And if there was any other thing Juvia hated in life, it'd be putting her burdens and trials onto those who were close with her. So, Juvia just kept everything bottled up inside, seeing in her mind that it was the better route.

When others, who had never talked to her at least once in their life, looked at her they saw a very energetic and content girl - how could she be sad? She was popular, made everyone else happy, seemed to have everything in the world, why would she be low-spirited? She looked so happy 100% of the time those whom were caught in the rain cloud above their own heads looked at the girl and envied her - if only they knew how she truly felt.

One rainy day Juvia sat outside on her lonesome in the park, caught in the depressive thoughts of her life. She was the only one at the park, those who weren't probably inside comfortable with their Mother and Father - oh how Juvia wished she was them.

The tears that fell from her eyes aligned with the raindrops leaving the clouds from above, making it impossible for those whom could possibly pass by to tell she was crying her heart out.

When she folded her arms to keep from the cold, she felt a jacket drop over her shoulders. Initially, she took it as someone threw it at her disrespectfully, but once she felt a presence sitting right next to her, she jumped.

With shock filled in her eyes, she looked over, making her soppy wet hair smack across her face, and looked at the stranger who had placed the piece of cloth over and even felt welcomed to sit next to her.

She studied who the newcomer was, and once she figured who, she immediately knew they had made eye contact with her once upon a time - she was popular, of course, she knew it had happened once or twice. It was a guy who was her age, preferably a year older than her-

Bora Prominence - a rather popular guy amongst the ladies, slim, a bluenette, and had a tattoo above his right eyebrow. Since Juvia was also quite 'popular', she had heard about Bora a lot from Gajeel and the others. They had no description of him other than the man was quite a ladies magnet, and never went for a girl - it was always up to the woman to fall for him.

When he smirked at her shocked expression, Juvia all but blushed at his dashing looks. She had never been attracted to him before in her life, but now? She was blushing like a young schoolgirl, immediately bewitched by the man's gratifying glory.

"What?" Juvia spoke out, frowning as he continued smirking at her.

Bora just reclined in the slickly wet park bench as he casually slips his arm around her shoulders "Juvia, right? From that Element 4 group?"

Juvia glared at the arm slung over her and grabbed it ever so gently, unwrapping the guy from her "yeah. Now, what do you want?"

"Oh, nothing! Just thought I could cheer a girl like you up."

Juvia looked away holding her chin in her palm, elbow propped up on her knee "well, thanks, but Juvia doesn't need it-"

"Don't pull that bull on me, babe. You're obviously crying," Bora said with a pointed look towards the tear trailing down her cheek once Juvia looked at him with surprised eyes. He continued "I'm not as dumb as you think, Juvia. I so happened to pass by and see you crying here and I decided to come over here and see what's wrong. So...mind telling me what's making you cry?"

Juvia hesitated but looked away, side-eyeing the man who was acting as if he knew her. She wouldn't tell him, of course, so she ripped off the jacket slung over her and stood, throwing it at Bora's lap "Juvia'll pass."

She started walking and he just watched as she did, extremely unpleased with the girls' action. Instead of chasing after her, it seemed like not the best idea, Bora called after her "this isn't the last you'll see me, Juvia! I'll know one day or another!" he promised, making Juvia roll her eyes.

And what he had said he planned to fulfill.

Not just a day later, Bora had caught up with her in the hallway and asked again "why were you sad yesterday?" she just ignored him.

He kept doing it day after day, sometimes having friendly chats with her which led to asking about the rainy night a few days back. She only ignored the questions and never answered, leaving the guy to be more challenged to know what was up with the girl.

Weeks later, after the two became closer friends, Juvia gave into Bora and pulled him aside one day, pouring out her heart's content about her life to the guy she found more enchanting every day. Bora only listened and patted her back, comforting her greatly when the tears he saw weeks ago fell mercilessly once again.

"Listen, sweetheart... I'm sorry to hear about your..." as he saw her tremble more, he softened his gaze and slowly changed his pats to a comforting hug "troubles...just know I'm here for you, every step of the way-"

Before Juvia could question his words, she pulled back and moved her face closer to Bora's, placing her lips against his; them sharing a passionate kiss - which was also Juvia's first.

Bora was shocked beyond belief at the girls' actions, but happy at the same time, truly happy the plan he created worked.

After that third time, Juvia had ever told anyone about her Father, she and Bora started dating. Juvia came to realize she needed the guy more than ever in her life since he made her delighted every single day. She loved him, he loved her--their relationship really helped Juvia grow stronger.

Meredy really liked them as a couple which was odd - Juvia was all hers to protect, she'd never let Gajeel protect the bluenette, let alone any silly boy, but she could tell Bora actually cared. She trusted Bora, and she truly believed he could take complete care of her best friend.

And after about 3 months of them dating, Juvia got more and more thrilled to be his girlfriend. She was overrated happy with him and she always ran to Bora when there was trouble at home, and without fail, he would be there for her.

One day, Bora had told Juvia (on a weekend day - Saturday) that he wouldn't be able to see her at all, and Juvia was okay with that - she knew it was the full-hearted truth and she only smiled and said "Okay, then. I'll see you on Monday!" Bora made a kissing noise before he said his goodbyes on the phone and hung up, going about his day.

Meredy was aware of Bora's outings, courtesy to Juvia, and was told by Juvia that she could be left alone that day. Figuring she could use the day to relieve the stress of protecting Juvia, Meredy made her way to the town where she planned to treat herself to a lovely dinner--if only she wasn't in the city at that time.

She went to a café and sat down to order some food when something caught her eye--a dude, whom looked like Juvia's boyfriend, spoon-feeding a bite of red velvet cake to a girl with long silvery hair. Meredy almost choked on her spaghetti meatball at the sight and only watched the guy whom she thought was Bora flirt with the girl - she presumed to be his date. She wanted to doubt that it was Bora, think it wasn't true, but when the mysterious guy turned his head slightly to kiss the girl on the lips, the tattoo above his right eyebrow stook out like a sore thumb.

Too shocked to go up and confront Bora, Meredy just got up and left, anger and sadness in her eyes at the sight she just saw - Bora, as in the guy dating Juvia and who Meredy thought she herself trusted, was cheating on Juvia.

As Meredy walked, the only thought in her head was to tell Juvia immediately about her boyfriend. Despite her gut feeling not to, Meredy kept on walking and walking until she reached Juvia's home.

Meredy took the phone in her pocket out and dialed up Juvia, knowing it best not to knock on the door - Dave Lockser would be there, too, and if he knew it was Meredy at the door, he wouldn't let her go see his daughter. So, calling Juvia was the best option.

When Juvia picked up, Meredy spoke out in a jumble of almost emotional sounding words "meet me outside your home ASAP...its important."

Juvia understood and hung up immediately, hurrying out of the door sneakily to the outside where Meredy was waiting "What's wrong, Mere? You look like you just saw a ghost..."

Meredy just looked at Juvia and grabbed her wrist, dragging the girl away from her home to the nearby park.

And once they sat down on the bench where Bora and Juvia began their 'love' story, Meredy brought the news upon Juvia that her boyfriend...wasn't exactly who she thought he was.

It took a moment, but Juvia responded with an unsettling tone.

At first, Juvia didn't believe it "no...thats-that's not true..." but when she didn't get the response she was looking for, Juvia looked towards her palms at her lap - one does not question whether Meredy was lying or not, the girl always told the truth to Juvia no matter what feelings got hurt.

Tears welled up in Juvia's eyes and poured heavily as Meredy decided to stay quiet, looking towards the woodchips on the park ground with narrowed eyes as she heard her best friend crying. She hated seeing Juvia crying, and at that moment, rage only grew more and more for Bora from the pinkette - the guy knew Meredy trusted him, but he just had to go and stab her in the back...

Meredy embraced Juvia as the girl cried, letting the sorrows pour out of the bluenette - the hug soothing Juvia's woes. Thunder rumbled in the sky, implying the rain would be crying along with the poor bluenette as her heart proceeded to break through the patches Bora had made...

══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══

"I knew he wasn't a good person from the start..." Natsu says with arms folded and brows furrowed "too bad someone didn't listen."

Choosing to ignore the obvious comment towards her, Lucy graveled "That's-That's..." the blonde was speechless, looking towards the cafeteria ground with regret in her eyes for falling for a guy like him.

"Horrible? Yes, yes it is..." Lyon looked over to Meredy who had anger-filled eyes, the thoughts of Juvia's ex making the girl want to go and punch the guy. He was her boyfriend, of course, he'd know that if the girl got even more riled she would, for sure, go chase after Bora and do it. So, Lyon, not wanting his dear girlfriend to have a not-so-friendly confrontation with the principal, walked over to her and tried to calm her nerves, whispering words to do so while the rest chatted.

Erza folded her arms and looked towards Jellal, seeing as though Meredy was too busy to answer her question "what did she do to break up with him?"

"You're asking the wrong person," Jellal said as he pointed his index finger towards a currently being hugged and cooled down Meredy who was clenching her jaw and hands still "I wasn't here when it happened, but she told me about it... I think it's something Juvia should tell you all."

"But wouldn't that be a bad idea?" Gray said in a voice above a whisper, resentment filling his mind for Juvia's sake - why would Bora do that to a kind soul like Juvia? She was sweet, bright, but most of all, hurting. Gray couldn't imagine what it must've felt like to be cheated on and to be mentally, physically, and emotionally abused. The poor girl...she didn't deserve any of it. "Like, wouldn't that make her cry while telling us? I know what you mean by its better for Juvia to tell us, but I don't want to see her cry again."

Meredy perked up at Gray's comment and almost squealed, and when Gray looked at her in question, she just shook it off and began to speak "okay, I'll tell that part as well..."

Meredy began telling the story... But while she was sharing the first part of how Bora and Juvia's relationship started, the teens were too engrossed in Meredy that they failed to notice the cheating guy being pulled aside by none other than Principal José.

While Bora was walking away from the table he was kicked from José, who was watching it all unfold once the outpour of shouts began, called the school kids' name "Bora, come here for a second..."

Bora just raised a brow and cautiously walked over to Porla "Yeah?"

"What's your relation towards Miss Maverick?" he asked in the spine tickling way he had always done, making Bora frown.

"Uh...she's the best friend of my ex-girlfriend and she's unhappy with...why we broke up."

"If I'm correct, that best friend of hers is... Miss Lockser?" Porla asked as he raised a brow, catching the sign of embarrassment and resentment from Bora at the name.

With a look of negativity, Bora drew out his response. "Yes..."

All the principal of Fiore High did was smile, letting out a mysterious dark laugh "follow me, my boy, you need to hear something I have for you..."

Bora just skeptically raised a brow but trusted his instincts, following the creepy principal of his to hear what he had for him.

══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══

Juvia called Bora on the phone a little over two days of not seeing him and after finding out about what he had done behind her back - she had skipped school on Monday and hadn't seen the 'boyfriend' of hers since Friday. She refused to see him, didn't want to whatsoever, or she might've started to cry. So, after the school day on Monday, well into the evening, when the sun was setting, Juvia finally got the courage to dial him up after at least billions of missed calls from him - she knew, though, that he had been trying to call her, she just simply didn't want to answer.

"Hello? Juvia? Are you okay? You've been missing my calls and I'm worried about you, babe..." she flinched at the name he had for her, sourness filling her heart - she almost cried at the sound of it, betrayal well hidden into the flow of his vocal cords. If Juvia hadn't known about him cheating she wouldn't have even been able to tell the difference between a truthful Bora or a lying one.

Juvia took a moment to compose herself before she took a deep breath "y-yeah... Um, can you meet m-m-me at the park in 3-5 minutes?" she decided to scrap the idea of trying to sound okay because she was done with lies and feeling like she needed to fake her own life.

Bora immediately could tell something was up "Yeah, I can do that. You okay?"

"Just-Just meet me at the park," Juvia said simply before hanging up and heading out of the door towards the park they had met in. It hurt her a little to know she'd be breaking up with him in the exact same spot they began their relationship, but Meredy had told her it was a good idea - so, Juvia pulled through.

'Make sure you call me after you break up if you need a shoulder to cry on... I'm here for you, Juvia. Always have, always will," Meredy's voice rang in Juvia's mind from their plan of breaking up with Bora on Sunday. Meredy had pledged to be there for Juvia once the deed was over because break-ups were hard - she didn't want Juvia to be alone with her aching mind and heart.

Juvia waited for her soon-to-be-ex patiently, her heart racing and throbbing towards the fact she was about to become single again.

Once Bora showed up, all nerves ran away and Juvia stilled at his voice. "Babe, I missed you..." he reached out to hug her but all she did was step away, making Bora tilt his head in confusion "what-"

"Bora..." Juvia said while a shadow cast over her tear-filling eyes "w-w-we need to break up."

Bora just stood frozen, staring at the girl with confusion "no...we can't-why?"

"B-B-Because-" but before Juvia could tell him she knew about the cheating he had done, Bora grabbed her face and pressed his lips against hers, trying to find the prank within her lips--but there was no response to the kiss, while his lips were moving, hers were sealed shut. She didn't put any love into the kiss like she always had done.

He knew at that moment that she wasn't joking. Bora pulled away and a shadow now casted over his eyes, scaring Juvia with the anger-filled aura. She looked to the side with a frown "Juvia's sorry, but it had to be done-"

"You need me..." Bora said through seething teeth. "You need me to keep you happy."

"Not necessarily, Bora..." Juvia looked at the guy with sorrow and anger "You cheated-"

Bora looked up at her with a sadistic grin but surprise seen in his eyes "I what?"

Juvia hesitated and bit her lip, her eyebrows furrowing at his semi-seeming happy look. "Juvia found out that you cheated on her, Bora! Why shouldn't she break up with you!? You-You-"

Bora stepped back and mirrored her furrowed eyebrows but kept his sadistic look  "How did you find out? When did you find out?" instead of having the sound of confusion or miscommunication in his voice, he had amusement laced within-such amusement which made Juvia all the more angrier.

"I found out from Meredy! You called the day of and said you'd be busy all day on Saturday and wouldn't be able to see me at all and I trusted you! I trusted your words and believed your lies!" Bora softened his gaze as anger filled tears streamed from her eyes "Meredy so happened to be at the same exact restaurant you were at with that girl! Meredy saw everything--you feeding cake to the girl, kissing her--every. single. detail. What's even sadder is that Meredy also trusted you enough to take care of me!!! Trusted that you'd protect me, love me--cheating on me, however, just doesn't show that."

Instead of getting an apology she expected, Bora grabbed her chin with his forefinger and thumb making her glazed over eyes look into his. She wanted to get his filthy-dirty-cheating hands off of her, but with certain movements, nothing was making him let go. She struggled to escape his grasp "it's not my fault you fell for me...and its also not my fault that you believed someone actually loved you-"

The same phrase rang in her head; she recalled her father saying that to her one too many times 'No one does or ever will love you, Juvia. You're a murderer, and no one likes murders. Overall, no one will love you if you look like that.'

Juvia kept her composure as his words deeply hurt her within. Hurt her so much pieces of her heart started to break off "what?" the tears stopped streaming as she made this deer-in-headlights look, looking to the guy with no expression in her eyes.

"That's right, Juvia! I...didn't love you... My intentions were just to become good enough friends with you to gain more popularity, which I have to say thank you for..." he just smiled and shook her head with his fingers "your beautiful broken mind just believed my little scheme..."

Juvia brought up her hand and smacked him across the cheek making him finally let go just so he could hold his cheek which was soon to be red and throbbing. Tears streamed like rain falling from the sky from her eyes, she stared at him with no love--no sorrow-no anger...just pure rage.

"Get away from me!!!"

"Sorry, Juvia... It had to be done..." Bora said as he sidestepped, looking at the girl with pleasure at her words.

Juvia choked out sobs as she pointed towards the direction of his home and shut her eyes tightly, sobs croaking out of her throat "GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!!"

Bora just laughed and glared at the girl "a broken girl doesn't deserve to be loved... Plus, you're super boring and too gloomy to be around, we could barely do anything together... Anyway, thanks for, sort of, making me feel better about myself."

The bastard of a man just started walking off per Juvia's command, and overhead, thunder clouds rolled in. She collapsed to her knees as soon as he was out of sight - she covered her face with her hands, tears filling in her hands and below her in puddles.

The bluenette wailed as the tears and raindrops hit the ground, her broken heart playing with the easy-to-break strings of emotions she had never felt before.

His words towards her...really were true if two people whom she thought were important to her life said it... Her father, and now Bora... She knew she should've just trusted Gajeel, Sol, Aria, and Totomaru's words... Bora really wasn't a good guy...

As she sat there crying her broken heart out, the clothes on her body grew damp from the rain pouring down on her.
