Harry is torn. Should he confront Felix, and ask him if it was true, or find Malfoy and tell him what he had found out?
He considers this, before rushing off.
Felix can wait.
It isn't until he reaches the Slytherin dorms that he realizes he has no idea what the password is.
"Pureblood," he murmurs. Nothing.
He tries password after password, trying to find one that matches with the answer it wants.
"Why are you trying to break into the Slytherin dorms, Potter?"
Harry turns around sharply to face Pansy Parkinson, whose tired eyes are scanning him with mild suspicion.
She tilts her head, brown eyes cold and exhausted. "Are you gonna kill one of the Slytherins?"
"What?" Harry asks, shocked. "Of course not!"
"Why else would you want in our dorms at six in the morning?"
"I need to talk to Draco."
"You need... to talk to Draco?"
"Yes."
She raises an eyebrow. "And how do I know you're not gonna hurt him?"
Harry blinks. "Uhhh... Trust?"
Pansy snorts. "Trust doesn't exist outside of house loyalty, Potter. Try again."
"I can't say," he answers truthfully. "It's a secret, no one can know but me and Draco."
She tilts her head. "Why are you calling him Draco?"
"We're married, why can't I call him by his first name?"
She studies him for another few seconds, cold brown eyes scanning him up and down. Finally, she sighs.
"I don't know what's going on between you and Draco. I know something is off about you guys and your marriage, and I know it's a secret. Can you promise me he's not going to get hurt?"
"No," he replies, his voice soft. Her face falls at his words.
"Promise me you'll do everything you can to keep him safe?"
He holds out his hand, pinky outstretched. She stares at it for a second before letting out the softest of laughs and hooking her own pinky finger around it.
"I promise."
