Old Pictures; Happier Now

''Babe, you're fidgeting. Calm down, it'll be fine. They'll love you I promise.'' I said, grabbing his waist and pulling him in for a quick kiss.
''You don't know that.'' He grumbled, quietly. I chuckled, hooking my finger under his chin so he'd look at me.
''I do,'' I whispered to him when I spotted the door of my parents house open from the corner of my eye. We had just gotten out of the car so we were in the drive way right now.
''They are going to love you. How could they not?'' I said smiling at him, getting him to give me that adorable smile of his before I leaned down and placed a kiss to his forehead.
''Look who's finally returned!'' My brothers loud voice invaded my ears and I turned around with a smile as he tackled me in a quick hug.
''I've not been gone that long.'' I said laughing as I hugged him back tightly.
''Note to self; buy Adam a calendar for Christmas.'' Neil joked as he pulled back. I rolled my eyes and moved over to wrap my arm around Tommys shoulder. He was still a bit fidgety but he'd relax soon.
''Time isn't a thing when I'm with him.'' I said, watching Tommy hide his face in my chest as he blushed. Neil smirked, before offering his hand out to Tommy.
''I'm Neil, nice to meet you.'' He said, being more mature than I expected him to. Tommy returned the gesture. After they shook hands and Tommy introduced himself we began to walk towards the house.
''See, nothing to be worried about.'' I assured him, letting my arm leave his shoulder, so my hand could clasp onto his.
Neil leaned over to me, ''Dude I never knew you had a type. I was almost about call him Sauli, they kind of look so much alike. You're into the little blonde elf-ish looking ones.'' He teased, making me shove him away before walking into the house with Tommy by my side.
My brother is stupid. Sauli and Tommy look nothing alike. Well maybe a bit when it comes to the hair and shape, but nothing more. Nothing. Tommy's different.
He's special.
He's mine.
''Mom!'' I yelled out excitedly as she turned the corner from the kitchen. Her dark auburn hair -nearly black now- was up in a bun and she had a food stained apron on.
''Sweetie, I missed you.'' She cooed, wrapping her arms around me. I smiled and released Tommys hand so that I could envelop her in a tight embrace. I've missed her too. So much.
''I missed you more, Mom.'' I said, placing a kiss to her cheek as we separated. ''This is Tommy,'' I said, grabbing his hand once again.
''Nice to meet you Mrs. Lambert.'' Tommy said politely. My Mom rolled her eyes and pulled him in for a hug as he extended his hand. Yeah, my Mom is very affectionate, and once she meets you she treats you as if she's known you for years.
''Nonsense,'' She says, ''Call me Leila, sunshine.'' She smiles up at him since we're both taller than her and I can see a light blush tinting his cheeks when she pinches them like he's a kid.
''Okay, Mom. No torturing him before dinner.'' I say when his hand grips onto mine tightly. She turned to me smiling.
''You're right, they'll be enough time for torturing you both with overdue affection after the wedding.'' She says smirking.
My brows knit together in confusion. Wait, what?
''Mom, what- how'd you know?'' I sighed out. It was suppose to be a surprise announcement, I wanted to tell everyone together at dinner tonight.
''Well if it wasn't the fact that you haven't loosened your hold on him since you got here, or the very gorgeous ring on his finger, or maybe even the sparkle in your eyes each time you glance at him, I'd say it's because Moms know everything sweetie.'' She said, patting my cheek before walking back into the kitchen.
I chuckled, while following her into the kitchen. ''Where's Dad?'' I asked, while she began mixing a bowl of potato salad. I felt my mouth water; that's my favorite.
''You're drooling and it isn't over me, should I be jealous of the food?'' Tommy teased.
''Of course not babe,'' I said turning to him and wrapping my hand around the back of his neck to pull him closer so I could whisper in his ear. ''The food could never suck me dry like you.'' I teased right back. I smirked when he let out a low moan that only I heard.
When I looked at his face he gave me a glare that I knew all to well and it made me want to laugh. He hates when I tease him when we're in public or around people, but his blushing face is so adorable.
''Your Father is in the back, on the grill.'' She said, as she continued mixing.
''I think I'm going to go show Tommy my old room.'' I said, dipping my finger into the potato salad and scooping a bit up on my finger before letting my finger plunge into my mouth and moaning at the delicious taste.
''Adam Mitchel Lambert!'' She yelled as I ran out of the kitchen and up the stairs, pulling Tommy along too. We both broke out in a fit of laughter when we reached the top of the stairs.
''Why do I get the feeling that you weren't allowed in the kitchen while your mom was cooking when you were little?'' He asked, still laughing.
''I wasn't that bad.'' I joked, knowing I'm so terribly wrong she literally had to hide the potato salad after she made it because she knew I was coming for it. ''C'mon.'' I said slinging my arm over his shoulder and walking in the direction of my old room.
I haven't been here in a while, maybe like a year. I missed it here. I miss everything about home, my parents and brother included. We came to a stop at the end of the hall and I opened my room door.
The first thing I recognized were my Queen posters that basically covered every inch of my walls.
''You take stalker fan to an entirely new level. Only if the Glamberts knew...'' He said smirking at me as he picked up one of my many Queen action figures.
''I'm more of a dedicated fan than a stalker fan,'' I said, taking the action figure from him and placing it back on my shelf. ''But I admire Queen a lot. They're one of my idols.''
I walked over to my closet and opened it seeing nothing but black hoodies, and skinny jeans. ''Babe, can you believe I had practically no fashion sense in junior high?'' I asked, flipping through the clothes in my closet.
''Babe?'' I called out, turning around when he still didn't answer. He was by my dresser looking at something. ''Tommy,'' I said walking over to him.
''You look so happy,'' He murmured quietly.
I looked over his shoulder to see him holding a picture up. It was of my Mom, Sauli, and I. It was an old picture and I had no idea what it was even doing in my room.
My Mom was one of the first people that knew me and Sauli had broken up so I know she would've taken this picture out of my room because she's taught me not to hold onto the past.
''I was happy,'' I admitted. ''But I'm happier now.'' I said honestly. ''I'm happier with you.'' I said, wrapping my arms around his waist as I rested my chin on his shoulder.
''Has he been here before? In your room?'' Tommy asked. I sighed, knowing that I should do nothing more than be honest with him.
''Yes, we've spent a few nights here.'' I said.
''Did anything happen?'' He asked.
''Tommy-''
''It's just a question, Adam.'' He said before I could speak.
I sighed, knowing this possibly wouldn't end well, and I probably should stop talking now but I can't. I can never not tell him the truth.
''Yes.'' I answered.
''In your bed?'' He asked quietly, and I saw his eyes glance over to my neatly made bed.
''Yeah.'' I answered just as quietly, not wanting the word to leave my lips, but not wanting to stop it.
''I'm not sleeping here.'' He told me as he sat the picture down. I grabbed his hand.
''We can stay in the guest room, we don't have to sleep in he--''
''I mean this house, Adam. I'm not sleeping here. I'm sorry, I know I agreed to before we got here but I don't want to now. Can you take me home? Please?'' He asked, spacing from my arms and turning around to face me.
I took a deep breath. I could read him so well usually and now he was blocking off all his emotions. Even as I stared deep into his light chocolate eyes I couldn't see anything, nothing at all.
''Sure, we can come back some other time. I'll tell Freya to get diner started before--''
''No,'' He said cutting me off. ''No, Adam I want to go to my home. I want you to bring me home.'' He said as he looked away from me.
''I'll come with you.'' I said, taking a step closer to him trying to pull him into my embrace but he backed away.
''You don't have to.''
''I want to.''
''I don't need you to.''
''Well I need me to.'' I said, giving him a look that warned him not to continue. ''I'm never letting you go again, I told you that. We're forever Tommy. I'm happy now, I'm happy with you.'' I told him seriously.
''You looked happier then.'' He said quietly before walking past me and out of the room. I followed after him when I had calmed down and finally caught up with him at the car. God he moves fast.
I gripped onto his arm, pulling him to me and slamming my lips to his before he could pull away. ''I want you to tell me how you feel right now.'' I said, separating our lips. I still had a nice hold on him with my arms around his waist, holding him to me.
''Adam--''
''Tell me, Tommy. I won't be mad, if you're mad. I won't get angry at you for how you feel just tell me. I have to know to help and when you shut me out I can't help, baby.'' He wrapped his arms around my neck and I let him bury his face in between my neck and shoulder.
''I don't feel anything.'' He whispered after a while. I let my hand slowly run over his back, rubbing in soothing circles.
''It's alright if you still feel unsure about you being the only thing that lights up my life. It just gives me all the more reason to prove to you and remind you in every way possible that I love you and I'll love you forever Tommy.'' I told him, kissing him again.
''How do you feel?'' I repeated again. He sighed.
''I still feel like I want to go home.'' He said lowly, staring at the ground. I closed my eyes for a minute, trying to understand how to fix this. How to get him to talk to me. I inwardly groaned, giving up for the moment as I wrapped my arm around him.
''Lets go home then.'' I said, walking over to the car.
