There are three things in the world that I do not understand right now.

1. The feeling in my chest that I do not know what to call.

The Corporal took me back to my room without a word. I remained silent, not really knowing what to say. Hey, I was confused at something back then.

2. My uncharacteristic silence right now.

After putting me down into my bed the Corporal disappeared for a few minutes only to come back with a basin and a piece of cloth. I stared at him and furrowed my eyebrows together. I HAVE BEEN THINKING OF WHAT TO SAY BUT NOTHING COMES TO MY MIND. Hence very uncharacteristic of me.

3. The Corporal's look of concern.

The world might be ending tonight. What if titans suddenly barge in and we are not the least ready to fight back? Yeah that could happen. Because in the last few months that I've been here in Survey Corps, I have never, ever, ever saw another facial expression from the Corporal aside from his very deep frown.

"Brat, stop thinking too much. You look incredibly stupid." His frown went back and he flicked my forehead.

What the hell.

"Tch, Corporal, I can take care of myself. You can go now." I huffed and looked away.

"You really are incredibly stupid. Did you actually think that I will help you clean up?" He asked in an annoyed voice.

"Huh? Then what are you still doing here? If you're done, you can go now. Shoo, shoo." The hell, just go already.

"You really are incredibly stupid. Tch." How many times will he repeat that phrase?

"Corporal-" I flinched feeling the warm cloth pressed on my face. My eye twitched in annoyance. "I thought you won't help me?" I growled at the Corporal.

"Call me Levi. And just let me do this." He said softly.

Holy hell. The world might really be ending right now. My heart is beating too fast. What if it jump out of my chest? Why am I even feeling this?

"Co-"

"Levi." This time the Corporal growled and he damp the cloth harder on my face.

"Le-levi." WHY AM I STUTTERING?! "Levi, what are you doing?"

"You really are incredibly stupid, brat." Twitch. "I'm helping you clean up your face."

I sighed. Okay. Obviously, that's what he is doing. "You are the idiot here Levi. You told me earlier, which is probably just a few seconds ago that you won't help me. Right?"

"Tch, I did not said that. I only asked you if you were thinking that I will help you." This time Levi sighed.

Twitch. What the hell. God damn it. Fuck.

"Well, I thought with that statement of yours, you were implying that you won't help me!" I snapped and gritted my teeth at the same time.

"Stop talking, Lucy." Did he just? Did he just called me by my first name?

I stared at him with wide eyes. "Le-"

"What? I allowed you to all me by my first name, I should be privileged as well to call you by your first name." He shrugged answering my unfinished question.

"But-"

"I said stop talking, brat." Stop cutting me off damn it!

I remained silent. Trying so hard to control my wild heart that's beating too fast for my liking.

After a few minutes he seems to be finished. He took away the basin and disappeared again with it.

I plopped down my bed. What is wrong with him?! Ugh! What is wrong with my heart?!

Wait, could I be sick? Yeah, that's right. I could be sick. I close my eyes and tried to calm my heart. Maybe I just need some deep breathing exercises.

That's right.

"Lucy." I opened my eyes only to find the Corporal a few inches from my face.

I suddenly sit up causing to bump my head to the Corporal's head.

"The hell, brat. Shit." I bumped his head real hard. I'm sure since my head hurts as well.

"Levi! I'm sorry! I-its because you surprised me! I mean what were you doing getting so close t-to my face!" I asked frantically while touching my stinging forehead.

"I was checking if you are still awake,brat!" He hissed, rubbing his head.

"Well, I am awake! But, I, I would like to sleep now!" I suddenly plopped down on my bed again and threw my sheets over my body.

Please go away. Please go away.

"Tch."

That click of his tongue is the last thing I've heard together with the closing of my room's door.

I shut my eyes tight and willed my self to sleep. Unfortunately, I CANNOT SLEEP.

Ugh.

"Lucy." Mikasa eyed me warily.

"Yeah?" I asked, staring at the horizon from our room's window.

"You look, bad." Gee, thanks Mikasa. For pointing that out.

"Well, I have been beaten up by the Corporal afterall." I shrugged still staring aimlessly at the horizon.

"I'm not really talking about the bruises, but the bags under your eyes." She gently touched my shoulder making me look at her.

"Oh. I did not get enough sleep, that's why." I shrugged again then looked back at the horizon. What? The horizon's pretty interesting right now.

"You were singing the whole night. Of course I know you didn't get any sleep." Then why are you asking? Geez.

Wait she heard me sing? SHE. HEARD. ME.

"Wait, Mikasa! You heard me sing?!" I gaped at her. I felt my cheeks heat up from embarrasment.

"Hmm? What's wrong? I've been hearing you sing every night even when we were still at training camp." This time Mikasa shrugged.

No. Way. That is just so embarrassing! She heard me! No!

"Anyway, I've been meaning to ask. What is the title of the song you've been singing?" She tilted her head a little looking at me with bored eyes.

"We-well, that's uhm. My mom taught me that song. Its called "All of the Stars." I answered while looking away. "Its probably a song from a long time ago. Well, at least that's what my mother told me back then. It was passed down from generation to generation in my family or something like that."

I cast Mikasa a sideway glance. And what got me surprised is that, SHE IS SMILING.

"Well, its a beautiful song Lucy. And it suits your voice."
