Chapter 8
"I almost want to turn him in to the police, but I can't bring myself to do that." Tyler took a sip of his coffee and nodded, agreeing with Dallon. "I'm the same way with Josh. I've tried talking to him about rehab, but it never solves anything." Dallon nodded. They were both in the same situation, or close to it anyways. "I have a weird question to ask you, and if you don't wanna answer that's fine, but I just want to know..." Tyler looked at Dallon, worried. "What is it?"
TRIGGER WARNING (?): if mentions to abuse trigger you or make you uncomfortable, please go on to the next chapter. Be safe:)
"Has Josh ever....um..." Tyler looked down at his coffee, knowing what Dallon was trying to ask. "Hit me?" Dallon immediately felt guilty for asking, as he could see the pain Tyler was trying to hide. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything." Tyler shook his head. "No, it's okay. I need to tell someone about it anyways." Dallon sighed and looked at Tyler, wishing he didn't say anything. "He was a little drunk one night. I had just gotten home and the apartment was a mess. I asked him what happened and he wouldn't say anything..." Tyler blinked away tears that were about to start dripping. "I-uh.. I asked him to stop drinking. He said he didn't want to stop. I tried to talk sense into him, but he wouldn't listen. He finally had enough and just...." He hid his face. Dallon could hear a few sniffles from him. He reached an arm to the the other side of the table to comfort the crying boy. He wiped away the tears and looked up at Dallon. "I-I'm sorry." He nervously chuckled as Dallon looked down. "No, I shouldn't have asked. I just..." Tyler looked down. "I'm guessing it happened to you?" Dallon shook his head, trying not to show emotion. "Well, look at us. We're in way over our heads." Dallon chuckled and looked up at Tyler.
"We really are..."
