Prologue
Eji's P.O.V.
"Oh look, it's hell on earth." I mutter as me and my brother walk up the school steps. My brother and I were twins, but we we're fraternal twins, we look nothing alike. My hair is strawberry blond and my eyes are blue. Freckles are on my nose and splay across my cheeks, and I have sun kissed skin, but that's about it. I'm 5'6 and have a pretty normal body. I'm short, but oh well.
My brother, Yaro, has Forrest green eyes and dark brown hair. His skin is really tan and he stands around 6'2. His build was somewhat muscular. He was always popular at our old school. His personality is very different from his looks.
"Come on you ugly hag, we have to get to the office." My brother teased.
"I can tell I'm already going to hate it here. Why the hell did mom and dad send us to a fucking boarding school? Especially one like this?" I grumble.
"Well, be glad each family gets their own house since this town is the entire school campus." He wasn't lying. Apparently, this used to be a normal town, but people eventually left, so they turned it into a birding school for grades 6-12. There were shops and theaters, all operated by students and faculty. It was weird. Makes me wonder why only the students and faculty live here.
"Just don't bring random women home." I grumble and we walk inside, immediately coming face to face with a group of jocks? Or were they gang members? I don't know. And when I said group, there was three of them. Each one of them had black hair, pale skin, and red eyes. Pointed teeth poking out of their mouths.
"Yo, you guys have any idea where the office is?" I question. The smiled and pointed down the hall.
"If you go down there and take a left, you should be there." The middle one said and I nodded.
"Thank you." We started walking to the office and I saw all the classrooms were currently full. Why were those three there, no idea.
"Wow, this school is empty. Who were you talking to earlier by the way?" Huh, he didn't see them.
"Are you okay?" I question.
"I should be asking you that?" Yaro raised a brow. We didn't get to answer either question as we reached the office. We walked in seeing a bunch of people sitting in desks.
"Excuse us." I question, raising my voice slightly.
"Eji and Yaro?" A women in front questions.
"That's us." I respond.
"Eji, who are you talking to? This school is so empty." Yaro grumbles.
"Yaro? Can you not see the people? There are students in the classrooms and workers all over the place." I inform with scrunched brows.
"He can't see us. Eji, you have been accepted to the school, your brother has not. We're sending him home in the morning. You two will go to your home until tomorrow. Here is your schedule and your keys." Objects are placed in my hand.
"Let's go check out the house." I say causally.
"Okay." Yaro shrugs and we leave the school, going to the housing district. Each house varied in size depending on the district.
"We're in the Twilight district." I say as I look at the signs.
"Seems like it's farther down." Yaro informs.
"But the houses get bigger down that way. There's only two of us." I say, even though it will soon only be me.
"Maybe they base it off grades or something?" Yaro suggested.
"Maybe." I shrug and we kept walking, the district nowhere to be seen. A female student with blue eyes and black hair is walking around and I go up to her.
"Excuse me, do you know where the Twilight district is?" I question.
"It's the very last district at the very end. Lucky you. It's normally reserved for very special people." The girl walks off and I walk with my brother to the very end. Sure enough, the biggest and grandest houses were there.
"We have 690." I say causally, my brother giggling. We reach the address and dear lord, it was the grandest of houses. Let me put it in perspective. The smallest home they have was a small cottage I guess with one bedroom, one bathroom, and one kitchen. I think there was a living room too. But this house, was it grand. The building five stories tall and a large yard. Trees decorated the grounds and the building was a wonderful blue. A dark blue that made me feel at ease. There was an iron gate around it, which none of the other houses have. The two of us walked to the the door and used the key to go inside. There was a ducking be map.
"This is where we're staying? You could house a hindered people hear!" I exclaimed.
"We might never see each other." Yaro jokes. I laugh awkwardly and look at the map.
"This place has a fucking indoor pool? A computer room? I library!" I was in heaven. Even if it was only a short period of time for me to stay here, I still want to enjoy it.
"The living quarters are on the top floor. Let's take the elevator." An elevator. Honestly, what the hell is going on? I follow my brother and we head upstairs to the top floor. Te top floor's hallway was a royal red. Well, the carpet was, the walls were gold. From there, me and Yaro picked our rooms.
"I call this room!" I exclaimed opening the door to the first room I reach, finding a wonderful room with large windows, and a balcony. I could get used to a life like this.
