Eji's P.O.V.

He was in each of my classes. I found that out through another student, but he apparently went home early due to his extreme reaction to the spray. It made me feel extremely guilty, but it couldn't be helped.

"Hey Eji, want to hang out with us after school?" A group of vampires questions.

"Sorry, I have to pass. This day has worn me out a bit and I want to go home." I apologize as I exit the school. Sighing, I make my way home. I wasn't lying, this day did tire me out. I made my way back to my house and entered, going to my room and falling on the large bed. "It's Friday at least." With that though in my head, I closed my eyes and slowly drifted off.

A few hour later.....

My eyes cracked open after hearing someone ring my doorbell. I yawn and make my way downstairs. When I reach the door, I thoughtlessly opened it and the minute I did, all my drowsiness vanished.

"We're you sleeping?" Suki questions, standing at the door, his face better than before, but it still made me feel bad.

"I was." I admit and he nods.

"Can I come in?" He questions.

"Uh, I don't know if that's a good idea." You did try to make out with me earlier despite having a girlfriend.

"I just want to talk, explain my actions." He said with a sigh, leaning against the frame.

"I guess you can come in than. But if you try anything I'll spray you with garlic spray again." I inform. He nods and walks in, shutting the door behind him.

"This place is bigger than mine. How many floors does it have?" He questions.

"Five. Six if you include the basement." I inform. "But it's so boring and empty. It's so big they need a fucking map!" I exclaimed.

"Don't worry. They might move someone in with you, especially if you ask for someone to move in with you." Suki informs.

"Really? I'll keep that in mind." I smile and walk to the living room, falling on a white couch. It was soft and I sunk right into it.

"Even after I attacked you, you still manage to be this calm and careless around me?" Suki questions as he sits across from me.

"What was that all about anyways? Honestly, what the hell?" Suki sighed and massaged his temples.

"Do you know how vampires find their partners?" He questions.

"No." I say in a monotone voice.

"We are attracted to scent. It's stupid and sound more like a fucking werewolf, but it's true. I've only met one person with a particular strong sent. And that person is you. You were able to smell my girlfriends smell because I had sex with her, and that means you also find my scent extremely strong, despite being human. This is why I'm so interested in you." He informs.

"Scent? Really? But that doesn't mean you should be allowed to kiss me! Especially since you have a girlfriend!" I exclaimed.

"I'll break up with her, it's not like I love her. She was just someone I used for sex." Suki admits. "I'm not proud of it, but it's not like I could have a serious relationship with anyone who doesn't give off a strong sent." He paused and moved over to my couch. "Besides, don't you need someone to protect you? This is a school a vampires after all." I look at him.

"What do I have to do to get your protection, cause I doubt you're being generous." I say softly.

"You have to become my friend." He starts.

"That doesn't sound so bad." I comment.

"But you also have to kiss me at least once a day. Better get you used to it." I blush.

"What?" He pushes me down on the couch, hovering over me.

"It's only kissing, Eji. I won't do anything more unless you ask." He smirked, his hand capturing my jaw. I was forced to look at him, my blue eyes meeting his purple. When they met, I was completely frozen. "Our kids got interrupted last time." I didn't even resist, I just let his kiss me.

Without the panic I had earlier, his soft lips felt good against mine, they were cold, and it felt nice. He licked my lower lip and instinctively I parted my lips and allowed his tongue to enter. Why did a kiss with a complete stranger feel so good? Was what Suki said really true? Suki pulled away and smirked at my flushed face.

"What an erotic face you're making. Want more?" Suki questions. I almost said yes, but I snapped to my senses.

"No!" I inform.

"That's too bad." Suki smirked, but it soon dropped and he leant down and kissed my forehead. "You don't play fair Eji." He sighs and moved off of me.

"I'm going to the pool, you can let yourself out." I mutter and make my way towards the pool. I had previously found out that they had already stocked some bathing suits there. God, I needed to do something to get what just happened out of my mind. I'm straight! For fucks sake! Ugh, I give up, that's not even a remotely valid excuse.

"Mind if I join you." His voice sent shivers up my spine.

"If you don't do anything, than yes." I mutter as I open the door to the pool.

"Where's your bathing suit?" Suki questions.

"They have some in the locker room, changing room, whatever you want to call it." I sigh and enter the changing room. They had all sorts of swimsuits in different sizes. "Honestly, I'm not going to be able to get used to this." I grab my size and go to a bathroom stall to change, knowing Suki was still here. He probably went to change too. I got out after I changed and threw my clothes into a laundry bin. I then hopped under a shower and quickly rinsed myself before going to the pool.

"You took long enough." Suki smirks.

"Shut up. I will kick you out." I threaten and jump into the water.

"That would be a shame. Anyways, despite being at this school, aren't you glad you have such a big house?" Suki questions.

"Not really. It gets lonely. If my brother was here, it would be less lonely, but he's never be home, so I guess I can't really say that." I float in the water, my head facing the ceiling.

"And why's that?" Suki questions.

"My brother is a womanizer. I mean, his name literally means asshole in Japanese. His full name at least. My parents didn't know it at the time." I inform.

"How's life back home, where you came from?" He questions.

"My brother got us kicked out of our last school because he slept with a female teacher and the principles daughter. I got kicked out because I supposedly knew even though I didn't. We soon got letters to check out this place and that's how we got here. My parents live in a different state, and my brother is going back home, so I have to deal with it." I admit, feeling surprisingly at ease.

"That must suck. And then finding out you could be targeted by other student here." He sighs.

"I'm fine. After all, didn't you say you were going to protect me?" I look over at him and stop floating.

"Yeah, I'll protect you." He pulled me to him and I had to look up. I hadn't realized how tall he was before. 6'2. Damn, he was tall. "Don't you dare try to run away from me." He said it so strongly that I couldn't help but nod. I thought he was going to kiss me again, and that made my eyes flutter close when he was leaning closer, but he didn't kiss my lips. His cold lips pressed against my forehead. "Let's swim for a bit." He let me go and we swam. Swimming around in laps, having competitions to see who could hold their breath the longest. It was like we've known each other for years instead of meeting today.

"Is it this late already? I planned to check out more of the grounds here!" I exclaimed as I got out of the pool.

"How about I show you around tomorrow? In exchange, let's have dinner together." He smiled. His smile was sickly sweet and hit me  like a hurricane, throwing everything in my heart about.

"I guess that's okay." I didn't realize the heat that was flushing my face, so I didn't understand why he was so happy.

"Good. Do you think this place has any clothes I can borrow?" He questions.

"I think so. Let's dry off first." I suggest and we get towels to start drying off. Apparently I was doing a lousy job of drying off, because Suki snatched my towel.

"Honestly, dry yourself properly or you're going to catch a cold." He quickly started to help dry me off, my hair and every inch of my body not covered by my swim trunks.

"Uh... You can stop now." I say quietly.

"Probably. You should dry off more thoroughly or you are definitely going to catch a cold for fucks sake." Suki sighs, kissing my forehead once again. Why wasn't he kissing me? Why the hell do I even care? Never mind! We started our way to the front where the map was when someone rang my bell.

"You might need to hide!" I exclaimed.

"Fine, I'll be in the room next to this one." He quickly fled and I went towards the door, seeing three people. Suki's Girlfriend, the guy who escorted me to the principles office, and the guy that escorted me earlier to class. What were their names again? Right! Eisei Noko escorted me to the office, Aku Nin the guy who escorted me to class, and Meinu, Suki's girlfriend. I honestly should feel extremely guilty for kissing her boyfriend, but I can't find it in myself to feel guilty.

"Why are you three here?" I question in a bored tone.

"Well, we heard the incident regarding Suki earlier and how you had to spray him with garlic spray." Aku informs.

"Oh, well, he was a bit too close for comfort and that awful stench of his girlfriend was coming off him. Oh wait, you're her. Let me guess, in Japanese, your name means bitch?" I say with a smile.

"We went to Suki's house to give him a detention for trying to harm you in any way shape or form, but couldn't find him." Eisei informed.

"I was going to look for him anyways, so I tagged along." Meinu admitted.

"He came by earlier an apologized. He didn't harm me, so there's to reason to give him detention." I say with a sigh.

"Are you sure?" Eisei interrogates.

"I'm sure. Look, I can handle myself, no need to worry. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to have dinner after getting out of the pool. Goodbye." I shut the door in their faces and walked to the next room where Suki was leaning against a wall.

"They knew me better than I thought." He laughed.

"Yeah, yeah." I grab his arm and pull him back towards the front so we can look at the map. "So, there's a large closet on the third floor that should have clothes you can wear." I inform.

"This place is big. There needs to be more than one map." He smiled.

"No kidding. How about we eat dinner first an than you change?" I suggest.

"But if you do that, I'm going to ask if I can stay the night." Suki smirked.

"You were going to ask either way, don't lie." I sigh.

"So, how about it, can I spend the night, a lot easier than having me walk here in the morning or meeting somewhere else?" I rolled my eyes.

"Fine. Honestly, I give up in trying to restrain your selfish whims."
