Monday was..... Hectic. That's the calmest word I can use. Suki and I walked into our first class together, completely forgetting are circumstances.

"Since when were you two friends?" Another classmate asks.

"Since Friday?" I say questioningly.

"Yup." The two of us sat in our seats and continued talking, a good five minutes before the bell for class to start.

"Suki! I demand to know who you find more interesting than me!" Meinu screamed at Suki when she entered.

"I think anyone in this school would be more interesting in a bitch like you." I smirk.

"You! It's your fault! Ever since you came here, Suki hasn't had the time to spend with me!" She figured it out quick.

"Please, don't blame me for something like that. Besides, I'm straight, need I spell it out for you? If he tried something, I'd spray his ugly ass with garlic spray." I lied.

"Very funny." Suki rolled his eyes.

"What? I try!" I smile. "Do you want something to be mad about, oh, I can definitely give you something to be mad about." I smirk.

"Don't even think about it." Suki mutters.

"Fine." I sigh. I turn back to the bitch, to find her charging me, her fangs were clearly visible and her eyes filled with rage. I didn't have time to react. I was suddenly pulled into a pair of arms, my face buried in the shirt as they faced the brunt of the blow. I honestly was only slightly afraid of this school when I heard there were vampires, but I had warmed up to it in the past few days. But, right now, I was terrified. The rage in that girls eyes shook me to my core.

"Meinu! What the hell do you think you're doing?" I heard Suki shout. My body was shaking.

"I didn't like his cocky attitude." She said with a devilish tone. I was scared. No, I am scared, my body was shaking so much now.

"You idiot!" I heard the teacher enter. Sensei was the one who shouted.

"This student is human! Did you forget? In a school full of vampires!" I closed my eyes and pushed away from Suki, my eyes watering.

"Eji?" Suki reached out for me again.

"I HATW THIS FUCKING SCHOOL AND EVERYONE IN IT!!!" I screamed and ran out the door, ran at full speed back to the house I was given, where I wouldn't leave until the school year was over, or until I died, whichever came first. My body shook as I ran and the minute I entered the house and locked the door, I found myself shaking so badly that I fell to my knees, eventually just collapsing.

Sensei was right that Meinu was an idiot, and that I'm the lone human at this vampire school, and the latter made me restless, my head was spinning and I felt like I was going to throw up. I knew I couldn't lay on the ground forever, so I brought myself to my feet and went towards the stairs, where I dragged myself to the top floor. My body felt like lead and my mind raced, I really wanted to throw up. My body was telling me I should, and I just don't know why. I fell on my bed and pulled out my phone, wondering if I should call my family to come and get me. No, I can't burden them like that. But then, what should I do?

"Here, they're pills." Two red pills were placed in my left hand and a glass of water was placed in my right. I quickly took them with the water and set the glass down.

"I'm sorry I just ran earlier." Even if it was just barely an hour ago.

"Don't apologize. Meinu scared you, and you freaked. You haven't seen any of our true forms yet and she was attacking you." He placed a hand on my shoulder and I flinched. He smile sadly.

"You protected me, thank you. How bad are the wounds?" I question.

"If you want to know, you have to unbutton my shirt and take it off." He teased in an attempt to lighten the mood, but I was dead serious. My fingers fiddled with the buttons and I pulled his shirt off, my cheeks hot with embarrassment.

"Can you turn around?" I question quietly. He sits on the bed, his back facing me, and on his back were deep claw marks from that women. It was etched deep into his skin and I could feel my eyes well up with water. I lean against him and hug him. "Thank you for protecting me. Even if this whole thing is my fault." I say softly.

"Eji, it's not your fault. Even if it was, her measures were to drastic and over the top. Besides, this is nothing." He was lying, I could tell when he clicked his tongue.

"You're lying, you always click your tongue when you lie." I inform, sitting on my bed. "Please don't lie, just tell me the truth or I'll just end up hurt." I ask of him.

"Fine, these marks hurt, but I got them from protecting you, so I can bear with it." He turns to face me and pulls me into a hug. I close my eyes and hug him tightly back, being careful to avoid the marks on his back.

"I had never been more terrified in my life." I admit softly as Suki kisses the top of my head.

"It's not your fault, I had expected you to be scared a lot sooner." Suki informed.

"I've been scared, I just hide my emotions well." I admit. I look down. "Why is it that I'm okay with you being so near, touching me, while with others, I'm afraid if you're not around?" He already had such a tight hold on my heart.
