Prologue
A body was lying on a table surrounded by people wearing safety goggles and gloves. They were talking quietly. One man walked up holding a syringe filled with glowing green liquid. He lifted the sleeve on the body's arm and injected half of the liquid. Suddenly red lights flashed on and alarms blared. "All workers report to room 800.204.30 there's been a breach." A loud voice said through the speakers. The people surrounding the body conversed urgently then left with the syringe still embedded in the figure's arm. The green liquid kept flowing into the body. The figure started shaking and gasping. They started glowing and went completely still. The figure sat up and breathed like they had never been able to before. They laid back down and went motionless. The people who were there before entered the room again and ran over to the table. One of the women gasped.
"All the Anarimi is gone!" She choked as she pointed to the empty syringe still embedded in the body's arm. One man grabbed a phone out of his pocket and dialed something.
"Traven Mckaw here. Sign 47.98.62." he said into the phone. An unintelligible reply came out of the phone.
"Protocol 37.59 Emergency Guards needed." The people waited in silence for a few moments then guards wearing gas masks rushed in and rolled the table away. A man walked briskly into the room and asked, "What happened?"
"General Terminos! I- I didn't think you would be here!" The man who had left the syringe in the arm stammered.
"I said "what happened" does anyone care to answer me?" The stern man repeated slowly.
"67.83.90 left the Anarimi and it all was injected." A woman stuttered quickly, almost bowing down to the man. " It was defective, a normal one would have exploded."
"Keep an eye on this one. Change its name to the defect." The man said as he strode out of the room.
Chapter 1
A young girl about eleven in age woke up in the back of a large truck. Other children sat around her. She whimpered and sat up. She didn't know where she was or even who she was. She looked down at her clothes. She was wearing black capris and a gray T-shirt. She shivered from the cold and noticed a name-tag pinned to her shirt. It read: Evelyn Parker. She didn't recognize the name at all. She stood up and tried to walk away from the wall but a chain connected to her leg held her in place. She tugged but getting nowhere stopped and sat back down. The truck abruptly stopped and the girl heard voices outside. The back of the truck opened and two soldiers wearing military uniforms stepped in. The girl slumped and acted as though she were sleeping. She peeked and saw the soldiers were stopping at each child and scanning their forehead with some sort of thermometer. She shut her eyes tight as they came to her. After the soldiers scanned each kid they left and shut the door behind them. Murky green gas flowed through the ceiling and floor vents. The girl held her breath for as long as she could then inhaled. She sunk against the wall in a deep sleep.
...
The girl awoke in a glass cell. Everything but the ceiling and floor was glass. Past her cell in front and behind her were rows and rows of cells. Each held two or more kids ranging from ages four to about twelve. Most kids were asleep but some were peering through the glass or sobbing. There was another girl in the cell who was about the same age as the first girl. The second girls name tag read: Melony Parker.
"Hi!" She said, " I'm Melony! Well that's what the name tag says, I don't really remember my name."
" Oh... Then I guess I'm Evelyn." The first girl said hesitantly. She was pretty sure she had been taught not to talk to strangers but she couldn't be sure.
"Where are we? "Evelyn questioned.
" I don't know."
Evelyn looked back through the glass. She couldn't see where the rows of containers ended because the lights were off. Suddenly the lights flickered on blinding both girls. When Evelyn's eyes adjusted to the light she saw a man in an army general uniform passing through the hallways. He was flanked by two army guards. Walking behind him were two ladies in business suits holding clipboards. Each cell that they passed they wrote something on their clipboard. Evelyn wanted to stand up and glare at the man as he passed or cower in the corner farthest away from him but instead she stayed where she was. The man passed and looked straight at her. She shivered and sunk closer to the ground. Her insides screamed to get away from this man. He had obsidian black hair. His face was pale, clean shaven, and he looked about 35. He was wearing a navy blue army general suit and muscles rippled underneath it. He left and the lights turned off. The same green smoke wafted through the ceiling vents.
"Don't breathe!" Evelyn shouted. She and Melony tried to cover their mouths with their shirts but Melony inhaled and passed out. Evelyn couldn't hold it in any longer and passed out from the gas into a dreamless sleep.
...
Evelyn awoke in a small bedroom. She was lying on the top bunk of a bunk bed. she climbed down and found Melanie in the bunk below her. The room had three doors leading out. One said bathroom, one said closet, and the last didn't say anything. On the wall a window showed outside. They were in some sort of an army compound. There were other buildings like the one they were in. There was a large field with lots of army equipment. There was also a large pool. No one was out and about. She saw identical rooms and the other large buildings. The room they were in had two gray dressers, black carpet and white walls and ceiling. There was a clock on the wall that read 6:30 a.m. . Melony stirred and said, "Evelyn?"
"Yeah?"
"What happened?" Melony asked as she sat up and looked around.
"I don't know... Your name tag...?" Evelyn said
"Yeah? What about it?"
"It says Melony Parker and mine says Evelyn Parker." Evelyn explained.
"Oh! So we're sisters!" Melony exclaimed, "Or even twins!" Melony was right, both girls had long fiery red hair, blue eyes and freckles. The only difference was that Melony's hair was darker and her eyes were more hazel and Evelyn's were sea blue.
"Can I call you Eve?" Melony asked.
"Sure" Evelyn walked towards the unlabeled door that must have been the way out. She grabbed the silver handle and twisted. The door didn't open.
"Locked." Evelyn muttered mostly to herself. She tried the door labeled Bathroom and it swung open. It opened to a large bathroom with shiny white tile flooring, a gray cupboard, two sinks with counter space in between them, and an oversized bathtub about the size as a car but just as deep as a usual bathtub. Evelyn left and opened the last door that was labeled Closet. Two dressers were pushed to one side and on the other side empty hangers hung from a pole. Behind the closet area was an empty space. Evelyn stepped out of the closet and found Melony exploring the bedroom. In the far corner sat two white desks that Evelyn hadn't noticed before.
"This is-" Melony started.
"Bland?" Evelyn finished.
"Yeah" There was a noise and the loudspeakers installed in the ceiling blared.
"Trainees report to section 183 in twenty minutes for your introductions and schedules." A female voice stated. The lock on the first door clicked and it swung open revealing a hallway where other kids were slowly exiting their rooms. Evelyn stepped out and waited for Melony to follow. They grabbed hands to stay together as they were swept away by the oncoming flow of kids.
Um so yeah, Idk. I don't even remember it after I read some of it. Lol. Welp hope u enjoyed (:
