My tail slowly swung back and forth as I stood, deep in thought. I twirled a black pen in my hand.

Waiting.

Impatiently waiting for the time to come.

The giant wolf by my side was sitting with her tail twitching. I could see the anticipation in her hard amber gaze as she watched me.

Almost time. Just a little longer.

I felt another presence. My ear flicked.

"I see you've made it," I said, not turning around. "Any news on her?"

"She's about to enter her house," the newcomer stated, "Everything else is in place."

"Good," I said. "And what of the others?"

"I asked them to stay within the area. Didn't inform them of why, but they shouldn't figure it out for a while, if not at all," She chuckled. "Oh, if only they knew..."

"Silence," I snapped, cutting her off before she could continue. I paused before saying, "Thank you. Keep a close eye on them once I bring her. If they figure out who she is, it may skew the whole plan."

"On it, boss!"

Her presence faded, leaving my companion and I alone.
