DJ?

I don't know where Styrmir went.

He was at the cabin when we left, and when we returned he was gone. According to Deceptarix, basically the demon version of Nadwe, he wasn't anywhere in the sky, either. He just... disappeared.

This I pondered as I paced in my room, the only place I seemed to be able to get some quiet time around here. I nervously fidgeted with the mysterious pen I had originally found in my pocket the first day here. I still didn't know why I had it, or if it was some kind of magic pen or something like that. I tried drawing with it, but the lines once again disappeared seconds after they were made.

It was quite odd, if you ask me, unless it was some kind of invisible ink pen and I was just an idiot. Which was very likely.

After a while, I just sighed, and laid down in my bed. Usually I was quite the insomniac, but today sleep easily washed over me as I drifted out of consciousness.

The bat perched in a shady, dark corner, its bichromatic eyes watching the room carefully. There were the few who actually knew about the body found in the woods, plus another character who ended up finding out about it. One of them, a white wolf with tentacles, each with a mushroom-like spike on the ends, seemed to make eye contact with it. He stared for a moment before looking away, as if he had thought he saw something but didn't quite notice it.

"Inferno, you need to stop stressing about this," Vizor sighed in annoyance.

"This isn't something I'm just going to let off," Inferno replied, "This isn't some normal death causation. This isn't someone getting mad and murdering someone else in a lengthy, painful way to let out their anger. Someone did this on purpose as a threat. The fact that the body was just out in the open like that is no coincidence."

"Maybe so," Xirox added, "But we don't even know who that was. Could have just been anyone."

"I kind of agree with Inferno here."

Along with Xirox, Paralysis, Inferno, and Vizor (as well as the bat in the corner), a character named Ally had joined them. The siren version, that is. She most likely wouldn't stay very long at this "meeting," for she needed to have contact with water at least once every few hours. Her fishlike tail curled around her legs as she was adding input and listening intently to the situation.

The only reason Ally had even joined the meeting was because she had found out about the whole "found a dead body in the woods" thing at some point and threatened to tell everyone about it if she wasn't involved. So they just allowed her to come.

Xirox tilted his head.

"Really?" He questioned.

"Well, she's right about one thing," Ally said, "This isn't normal, and it's definitely not something that shouldn't be worried about."

The bat couldn't help but give a small chuckle.

Inferno's ears pricked. The bat, realizing its mistake, shrunk back in the corner, hoping it didn't get noticed.

Inferno's gaze shifted to the corner. Her eyes met the bat's, and the bat knew it was discovered.

It attempted to teleport away, but it was suddenly caught in a field of shadow that forced it to stay put. It flapped and struggled as it attempted in vain to free itself, but Vizor pulled the shadow-trapped creature towards the group.

Inferno met the bat's gaze once again. One of its eyes was bright red, and the other was a deep cobalt. It seemed to be wearing some sort of headphones, and had glasses with square, pink-tinted lenses without frames. Kind of like something a DJ would wear. Inferno knew immediately that this wasn't just a bat - this was obviously a vampire of some sort.

She smirked.

"Bring it into the sunlight," Inferno commanded, "We'll see who this really is."

Vizor nodded. The bat, realizing where this was going, again began to struggle for freedom. But it was no use.

As soon as it met the bright sunlight streaming through the window, it was forced to transform back into its normal form.

In the bat's place was a girl, who couldn't have been older than ten, with blonde hair and blue wolf ears. Her bangs were streaked with red and black. She wore a cobalt blue zip-up jacket, unzipped to show a light pink shirt with a white cat face on it. Her wolf tail was blue, fading to light pink at the end, and pink bat wings still protruded from her back. Strangely, she didn't burn in the light as Inferno had anticipated.

"Crap..." the girl muttered, looking in worry around the room as her shoulders slumped.

"Who the hell are you?" Inferno questioned, observing the strange girl with interest.

"And why would I tell you that?" she replied with a sassy tone. Yep, she was definitely as old as she looked, if not younger.

"Well, all of us could easily kill you right here," Vizor said sternly, "So that's for you to decide."

The girl laughed. "Well, I'm technically immortal, so that won't do much for ya."

"Thing is," Inferno started, reaching into her pocket, "I can tell that you're a vampire, yes?"

"Yup!"

"And, if I know the creator, one of the ways to kill a vampire of her's is by fire, correct?"

The girl hesitated, not knowing if she should answer.

Inferno grinned. She pulled a box of matches from her pocket, something she always carried with her.

The girl's face instantly paled.

"Now tell me again," Inferno said with a psychopathic kind of smile, "Who are you?"

"Addie!"

The voice woke me with a start. It sounded like it was coming from inside of my head. I sat up in bed, only to be met by a furry creature with red dots for eyes.

I sighed. "Paralysis, what-"

"Inferno needs you."

I tilted my head, but said nothing as I hopped out of bed and followed Paralysis down the hall. We entered a room at the end, and Paralysis locked the door once I entered.

Which definitely made me uncomfortable, but I didn't say anything.

Inferno was standing near the corner, next to Vizor, who was leaning against the wall. I saw Xirox and Ally chatting on the other side of the room. It looked like Inferno was standing in front of someone. Her ears pricked as Paralysis and I entered the room, and she turned to see us.

"Finally, it took ya long enough," Inferno grumbled.

"Sorry, she was asleep," I (somehow) heard Paralysis say.

Inferno turned to me.

"This is DJ," Inferno said, motioning to the figure behind her. It looked to be a girl younger than me, with one blue eye and one red eye. She was strapped to the chair with chains of shadow, most likely the reason Vizor was over here. She looked familiar in some way, but I could put my finger on where I had seen her before. "She insisted that I bring you in here."

Inferno stepped aside, and I cautiously stepped towards the girl, DJ.

She smiled. "Heyyy! Remember me?"

I felt a bit awkward. Do I know her?

DJ laughed. "Of course you don't. Whole reason I'm here, anyway."

"Who are you?" I asked her, not really knowing what else to ask.

"Jeez, you guys really like that question, don't you?" DJ chuckled, "I'm just like the others. Your creation."

I felt Inferno staring at me, confusion edging her gaze.

DJ noticed. Her eyebrows raised in surprise. "You mean you haven't told them?"

"Uh... I-I don't know what you're talking about," I stuttered, pathetically trying to cover for myself.

"Aww, don't be a liar," she said in an annoyingly playful voice, "Tell them!"

I sighed. "Why did you ask for me here?"

"Come on, don't try to change the subject."

"I'm not, I'm asking a question."

DJ rolled her eyes. "I asked you here so you could see that I still exist, idiot. Because you obviously don't remember who I am."

Well this is going great. I wouldn't doubt everyone in this room has caught onto my identity by now. But of course, no one's tried to kill me yet, so maybe not.

Something sparked in my memory as DJ said those words. It must have been at least a year ago. I was drawing a picture, in an older style of mine, of a girl that looked... nearly identical to DJ.

DJ smiled, seeing the realization on my face. "So you DO remember! Took you long enough!"

"So you've... I'm... how?" I stuttered, speechless.

"Well, we're all sent here as soon as we're created," DJ started, "Although I was sent to the Overworld at first, being the goody-two-shoes sona at the time and all. Anyway, you eventually forgot about me and I was sent to the infinite abyss of what I like to call the Between. And then I met her, and she gave me purpose again."

"Who's she?" I asked.

DJ chuckled. "That... is for you to decide."
