A/n: so not a really long chapter just a fight between Jaune and Y/n.

It's been around a week sense the Forever Fall incident and Jaune started training with Pyrrha. Currently the teams DRCN, JNPR, and RWBY were in combat class with Ms.Goodwitch. Currently Carlson and Weiss were sparring, Carl elegantly dodging around the tip of the ice princess's Rapier. As the Whitejake jumped back he threw several cards each having a hard light base but also infused with a different elemental dust each. Weiss expertly moved around them with the help of her glyphs, she lands on the ground preparing to launch as the wide open Carlson.

Weiss: I got you now!

She smirked at her triumph until Carl gave a smirk of his own.

Carl: Maybe, but you've activated my trap card!!

Suddenly the ground underneath Weiss started glowing a dark purple as a 3.5 by 2.5 foot playing card with the image of the joker card. Weiss's eyes widen as she's stuck to the card and she sees all the other cards that were thrown suddenly change direction aiming right at her. A last ditch effort she spun the cylinder on Myrtenaster over charging it with Ice dust as she hucked it at Carl who didn't react fast enough got pinned and frozen to the wall as Weiss was hit and sent flying.

Goodwitch: MATCH!

She shouts as she picks up Weiss, who was covered in dust and soot and Carl who still had chunks of ice on him.

Goodwitch: Good work you two. Great use of strategy Mr.William, but just because you caught them doesn't mean their down. And you Ms.Schnee should be more careful than to charge all gung ho at the first chance, that being said you still incapacitated your opponent despite being trapped. Now both of you go rest.

Both students walked back to their teams before seemingly collapsing in their chairs next to their partners.

Goodwitch: Alright we have time for one more match who would live to volunteer?

Y/n almost immediately shot up from his seat with his hand raised.

Y/n: can I go?!

Goodwitch was silent before before sighing.

Goodwitch: and who do you wish to be your opponent?

Y/n gave a wicked smirk that sent chills down the spines of nearly everyone else in the room, as it revealed his sharper canines and back teeth. The faunus threw his hand to the side pointing dead as Jaune.

Y/n: I wanna have a bout with the resident leader of team JNPR. El Caballero Blanco, Jaune Arc!

(Ok for our non Spanish speakers el caballero blanco basically means The White Knight, caballero is knight and Blanco is white)

The room went silent, it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. One could feel the gazes of the students split between Y/n, Jaune, and Ms.Goodwitch. The few second of silence felt like an eternity until Nora shattered it.

Nora: WOOOOOHOOOOO YOU GO SHOW THEM FEARLESS LEADER!!

She cheered at Glynda came to her senses.

Glynda: uh Mr.Arc do you accept this challenge?

Jaune had a nervous look on his face as he looked at his team. As Jaune looked he saw Nora nodding her head so fast it looked like it was going to fly off, Ren simply have a small nod and a thumbs up, and Pyrrha gave him a full smile with a head nod and a thumbs up. Jaune gained a look of motivation.

Jaune: I accept!

Glynda had a worried look before she saw the fire ignited in his eyes.

Glynda: alright, hurry be in the arena in less than 10 minutes with your gear.

Both Jaune and Y/n quickly left to get their equipment both couldn't wait to see just how strong Jaune had gotten.

After a few minutes both Jaune and Y/n are on in the arena facing each other. Jaune adjusting his armor and Y/n was adjusting his weapons.

Glynda: are both combatants ready?!

Jaune: ready as I'll ever be.

Y/n: I'm fired up!

Glynda: on my mark,

Y/n and Jaune ready their weapons. Jaune drawing his sword and expanding his shield while Y/n drew both his swords, the light glistening off the crimson metal.

Glynda: Ready!

Y/n: show me a good time Jaune!

Glynda: Set!

Jaune: alright then...

Glynda:

Jaune & Y/n: Let's Dance!

Both students launch at each other meeting in the middle of the arena as Crocea Mors and Minuano clash. Jaune deflected Dusk with his shield. Y/n then jumps back a bit so then he could run at Jaune with a flurry of attacks. Jaune used his shield to block most of them while trying to counter with his sword sadly most of his strikes her parried but he still managed a few hits. But even with his shield he also got struck a few times.

This time it was Jaune who jumped back to gain some ground. Y/n saw this and quickly dashed at the White knight, but instead of attacking him he jumped high into the air. So high he could have easily jumped over Jaune. But the surprise came when he flung himself down, as he approaches Jaune he started spinning. Jaune acting quick rose his shield to intercept the raging red buzzsaw that was Y/n.

Jaune bent his back leg to help absorb the blunt of the attack. Jaune grit his teeth as he pivoted his foot like how Pyrrha taught him to gain leverage.

Jaune: AAAAHHH

Jaune bellowed as he shot forward launching Y/n off his shield sending him flying. Y/n was flung into the air as he twisted himself so then he would land properly. Y/n landed with a spin quickly throwing Dusk at Jaune. Jaune went to raise his shield to deflect the sword but right before it hit Jaune ducked. Call it luck or natural instinct but a millisecond after  Jaune's head started going down a red blade was right where his head was. Jaune realizing the danger went into a quick roll as Y/n quickly grabbed Dusk with his left hand as he landed.

Jaune: YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ME!!

Y/N: No worse would have been a hair cut at least.

Joked Y/n as he readied his blades once more. Jaune raised his shield and readied his sword. Looking at their aura levels you could see Jaune's was barely in the in the yellow, while Y/n was still in the green but it was depleted some. Both warriors stared each other down their a red glint in Y/n's eyes matched by a similar white shine in Jaune's. A fire of determination raging within each of their optical orbs, some students could swear they saw something radiating off the two. A few could swear that they could see Jaune's aura level creep up slightly.

Although what Glynda saw was completely different. She saw a untamable wildfire raging within each of the students eyes. Both of their aura's flaring, clashing before the two could even strike. This was completely different from the start of the fight, Y/n was engulfed by a fiery crimson aura that was a sort of calm chaos, while Jaune was radiating an almost blinding white that seemed like a star.

Jaune and Y/n, prepared to continue their fight rushing at each other their aura's ready to strike. Y/n and Jaune were barely ten paces from each other, blades posed to strike. Everyone was on the edge of their seat, shocked by Jaune's own performance. Y/n and Jaune's blades were right about to clash, blades in motion...

*BING*

The bell rang signaling the end of class Jaune and Y/n were surprised by the sudden noise causing them to mess up, trip, and end up in a pile. Several students fell from their seats, including teams RWBY, most of DRCN, and all but Pyrrha from JNPR. Pyrrha had a look of shock and surprise as she saw the battle she all but jumped into the arena and scooped Jaune up hugging him.

Pyrrha: Jaune that was incredible!!

Jaune: uh ow t-thanks p-pyrrha.

Jaune was starting to turn red and almost purple.

Pyrrha: the way you dodged was immaculate!

Jaune: P-pyr....air..... need......now

Pyrrha looks at him slightly confused before she realizes she's hugging too tight and loosens up.

Pyrrha: sorry

Jaune no problem

Jaune spoke through gasps of air. Then he smiled.

Jaune: I think you saved me a trip to the chiropractor though. 

Pyrrha gave a small giggle at the joke. Meanwhile Y/n got up and slung an arm around Jaune as Neo seemingly appeared right next to Pyrrha holding a sign that said "great job!" With confetti around it.

Y/n: your right our Caballero Blanco did to pretty awesome out there.

Jaune: what does caperro blaco mean? You said it before but,

Y/n: oh it just means White knight. Anyway I'm starving let's go get something to eat.

Jaune: now that you mention it I feel like I could eat a whole cow.

The two walk off chatting about their own fight as if they worn't about to try and dice the other one that minced meat not even 3 minutes ago. Pyrrha and Neo sigh as they see them walk in the direction of the cafeteria, although Neo didn't make a noise.

Pyrrha: boys are truly mysterious creatures.

Neo: 'your telling me'

Pyrrha: I'm second to fighting each other the next their grabbing food like nothing happened.

Neo simply nods in agreement.

-scene shift-

As the students walked out Glynda released a breath she didn't know she was holding. She was fully prepared herself to stop the fight but she was frozen in her spot. The look in their eyes she's only seen it once before, the one time she'd seen an Arc and a Rodriguez fight.

???: Quite the fight wasn't it?

Glynda looks up on guard, before she saw who spoke.

Glynda: indeed, now I see why you let him in despite the obvious false transcripts headmaster.

Ozpin: yes and after only a week of training with Ms.Nikos to boot. Quite the bond they share, but alas it's not all talent the Arc boy is like an ore that has great potential simply needing the process to turn it into a fine blade. 

Glynda: indeed. Ms.Nikos appears to be the smith needed for such an endeavor.

Ozpin: And Rodriguez the whetstone to sharpen, while the blade to defy. After all we know better then anyone that the perfect ones to sharpen each other are the Arc's and Rodriguez's.

Glynda: while also being the one to tear down the other. The boy's a trouble maker as is are you sure this will be ok.

Ozpin: If we wish to truly turn tides in our favor wouldn't it be best to have both the Garúa, and the Caballero Blanco.

Ozpin noticed the look Glynda gave him as he simply sips from his mug.

Ozpin: what? it's catchy.
