3rd pov

As they ran through the forest with the G. rex close behind Neo threw the sign she was holding at it poking it's eye as she stuck her tongue out at it. The grimm responded with roaring again and still chases, although it was slightly slower than before.

Diana: Ok, I got an idea but it depends on how well you all can climb trees

Y/n: I was born climbing trees!

Diana: I know you can Carl! Now what about pinkie over here

Neo nods her head yes,

Diana: alright in the count of three everyone jump as high as you can and start climbing! Alright,

Carl/ Y/n: Aye

Neo nods in agreement again,

Diana: 1..

The G.rex was closer,

Diana: 2..

Right on their tail

Diana: 3!

With that Diana quickly pulls the big sword off her back and in the same movement slams it onto the G.rex's head discombobulating it. As soon as that happened she took the opening and stabs her sword into it's head and it fell.

Y/n: holy

Neo: 'shit'

Y/n: I was going to say cow, but that works too I guess

Diana: not so tough now huh

As she went to pull her sword out she fails to notice something.

Carl: Diana?

Diana: what?!

Y/n: you should look behind you

Diana: why

As the tall women turns around she's barely able to block the G. Rex's tail slamming into her sending her flying. Soon the G.rex is back on it's feet.

Carl: bloody hell

As the trio that are left start running in the direction Diana was thrown in, they hear a scream but pay it little mind as they got their own problem. They start running from tree to tree with Carl sometimes using what appears to be hard- light cards as steps on.

Y/n: oi uh Conner was it? What are those?

Carl: it's Carl, Carlson William 3rd also known as 'Whitejack'. These *holds up glowing playing cards* are cards generated by the hard- light crystals in my bracelets.

Y/n: that's cool carol

Carl: Carl

Y/n: Cardin

At that Y/n made a sour face,

Carl: what?

Y/n: nothing it just that name left a bad taste in my mouth,

Just then we see a blonde blur as time slows down Y/n sees it's Jaune flying by as Y/n waves as he keeps flying.

Carl: what was that

Y/n: that was my friend Jaune

Neo: 'who'

Y/n: Jaune, but we should get going my Semblance can only last so long

As they start running Carl gets curious.

Carl: what did you mean by Semblance

Y/n: oh yeah I can speed up our perspectives of time causing our bodies to go faster 'shouldn't say the full truth until I can trust them entirely'

Carl: neat

As they zoom through the forest occasionally looking back to see the G.rex moving slowly behind them. After a few more minutes they make it to another opening seeing Jaune, Diana, Weiss, along with all the other students (minus CRNL) that were taking the exam with Ruby about to be impaled by the an elder death stalker.

Y/n: Neo can you and Carl go save Ruby *pants* I need to catch my breath

Neo simply nods as she goes to block the stinger while Carl uses cards to cut her cape. As soon as they got in position Y/n falls to his knees as his Semblance deactivated. To everyone else it seems like Neo and Carl just showed up out of nowhere. With Neo deflecting the stinger and bouncing back. Y/n falls out of the tree but before he hit the ground Jaune, being the homie that he is catches him.

Y/n: Jaune, thanks man

Jaune: no problem, but 100% no homo

Y/n: yeah no homo, besides I'm wearing socks

As Jaune helped Y/n stand,

Y/n: I got it I'm good alright I just need a second to breathe

Carl: I don't think you'll get it

Y/n: why-

But Y/n was interrupted by the G. Rex who just came crashing through the forest.

Diana: MOTHER FU-

Neo cleverly places signs over her mouth with fun replacement words like cows and ducks along with fluff. While the dino Grimm roars.

Carl: you think it's angry about the sword in it's head,

Diana: what no maybe it wants tea!!!

The death stalker also wanted attention so it started snapping it's claws.

Yang: so who gets who, Im calling dibs on the bird

Ruby: I'll help Yang

Nora: hmm Dino or Scorpion, which ones more dangerous?

Ren: we'll take the death stalker

Jaune: uh we'll help sense we kinda brought it here

Diana: leaving me, Fancy pant, pinkie, and lizard boy to take on the dino. Sounds good.

Diana: we should probably spread out some we don't get in each others way

Ruby: right, I know a place

Jaune: I saw one too as I was flying through the air.

As Ruby and Jaune led their Grimms by running off while opening fire.

Diana: you ready?

Neo glares with determination as she draws her umbrella blade.

Carl: as I'll ever be.

Carl summons a few cards.

Y/n: I'm 'bouta turn this bitch into dino nuggies.

Y/n draws Dusk but keeps Dawn in sheath mode. As he pulls the trigger several times as lightning dust activates causing the blade to vibrate slightly with the energy.

Y/n: I'm emptying this clip

Y/n pushes the trigger 9 more times as the lightning goes from yellow to purple to red showing the increased power. As they rushed in Carl covering Diana as she was going for her sword in it's head, while Neo was running around focusing on smaller softer places to aim her nimble blade. Y/n ran and slid under the giant monstrosity slashing at it's stomach and legs, although it did little besides irritate the Grimm and a few small cuts.

Y/n: Diana what are you doing up there?! I thought you were getting the sword!!

Diana: it's already in it's head we just gotta push it in!!! But it's so damn hard with this thing moving every where!

Y/n stops and thinks,

Y/n:Oi! Neo help me chop this bastards legs off

Neo nods and starts focusing on the thick hide in the legs.

Y/n kicks Dusk into the leg she was working on as she looks at him confused.

Y/n: sever tissue that holds the muscle and bones together I gave you an opening.

Neo nods in realization and gets to work separating muscle and bones using the small hole opened by Dusk to get inside. Neo jumped on the sword forcing in down creating a bigger opening to stab into and sever tendons. As she was doing this Y/n prepared his second sword that was on his lower hip/upper thigh for his attack. The sword was named after his father, the man who helped him create it. Minuano, the cool Brazilian wind.

Carl: what are you doing standing there!

He yelled while dodging the tail. Y/n looked calm and cool as he spoke,

Y/n: you said people call you Whitejack right? Well I'm not sure how you earned it, but I too have a monarcher they calle.... Garúa,

Neo finished her side.
As he said that he pulled the trigger using his semblance to slow time to a still for a few seconds. But in those few seconds he slashes the leg to barely recognizable pieces and nearly gutted the Grimm, causing it to fall and Diana's blade to peirce it's skull killing it.

Y/n: the cold Peruvian Mist.

As he sheathes his sword.

-time skip brought to you by Nora and Neo dancing around with chess pieces singing 'im queen of the castle' with Neo's sign-

Later on after the battles were fought they all gathered for team announcements. As the giant screen behind Ozpin shows the peoples names and info.

Ozpin: Russel Thrush. Cardin Winchester. Dove Bronzewing. Sky Lark. The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team CRDL, led by... Cardin Winchester!

The audience gives one more wave of ovation, while four students walk up to the stage to take their places in front of the headmaster as their faces fill the screen.

Ozpin: Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team JNPR.

Amid the clapping, Nora laughs and gives Ren a hug.

Ozpin: Led by... Jaune Arc!

Jaune: Huh? L-Led by...?

Ozpin: Congratulations, young man.

A grinning Pyrrha offers a friendly shoulder bump to Jaune, but her "fine leader" is knocked over and falls to his butt in front of the laughing audience.

Ozpin: And finally: Blake Belladonna. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. Yang Xiao Long.

The four stand on the stage.

Ozpin: The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team RWBY. Led by... Ruby Rose!

Weiss looks to her right surprised, where Ruby is obviously in shock as Yang goes over to hug her sister.

Yang: I'm so proud of you!

Ozpin: and last but not least Trivia Vanilla- er Neo politon

He corrected after reading her sign. Ozpin continues,

Ozpin: Carlson William, Diana Seagoat, and Y/n Rodriguez shall be the final team lead by...

-scene shift-

The camera pans over the auditorium's structure until it escapes into the open sky and shows the scattering crescent moon amid the day's clouds...

... before going into the night and seeing the moon through a window, providing a view to the outside for a shadowy room filled with shelves and a desk in the back, where Roman Torchwick is getting a call on his phone. The muffled conversation ends, and Roman angrily slams the phone down, sighing. He holds a cigar to his mouth and puts his symbolized lighter to the end, just as a man in a gray mask and black hood comes with a trolley. Roman holds out a collection of Lien, which he places on the table and the man takes.

Roman: Open it.

The masked man does so with a crowbar, revealing a large amount of Dust crystals of varying colors - orange, blue, white, red, green, cyan, gold, yellow, and more. Roman picks up a blue gem in his hand and looks at the loot.

Roman: We're gonna need more men...

The view zooms in on the map above the desk, showing Vale and various districts and areas of crossed-out locations, all leading into a specially-circled place - Beacon.
